Pointless rant, lies and more pointless rant. Deffo not Troubleshooting. If you're tired of BIS and/or their products then play something else. We dont need the drama here. Closing.

Present your case in private to me and we'll work it out.

You cant change this. It is set by the forum. Please use this thread for forum-related questions from now on, please Closing.

What he is saying is you should try renaming Arma.exe to fear.exe. I believe this works for crossfire too. Isnt it closer to 90%?

If you want to adress someone at BIS I suggest you email support@bistudio.com. This is a community-forum where the people of the community help eachother. When a BI-employee have the time they chime in.

I suggest you change your tone, Colt.1911. You've received a WL.

Thats the one I'm talking about too. Only the Harrier and SU-34 has a HUD I believe.

Looks like high brightness to me. Try setting it down to 1.0 or even 0.9

Just happy it helps I believe most of those programs are a scam because I've never heard of them improving anything except fixing simple "wrongs" with a computer and thus the result of the fix improved on the performance and not necessarely the program itself, but thats a different topic. Please stick to SLI with Arma here.

Because Arma isnt such a "big game". Its not enough eyecandy value in Arma for Nvidia to prioritize it. I guess they dont see a non-mainstream game as worthy the effort in order to promote their videocards. Nvidia is doing the optimizations.

If you are receiving a message that you have an invalid cd-key you should email that cd-key to support@bistudio.com and Bohemia Interactive will happily look into the matter for you and figure out why you are receiving this message. Please do not start new threads complaining about your cd-key not working properly. If it is a legal key, Bohemia Interactive will help.

You said it. Arma is a simulation. Its going to simulate STOVL. Its not just two more keys added to set altitude. Its a little bit more complicated than GTA It has already been anounced that it will be present in the 1.05 patch. All good things comes to those who wait (usually).

We all know that it should never have happend and BIS have already acknowledged the bug and are working on it. Meaningless bickering wont speed up the process. Closing.

No, the reason SLI doesnt kick up your fps more than that is because when you create a game-profile in the Nvidia CP it doesnt add any compatibility flags (optimizations). That can only be done directly in the profile with a tool such as nHancer. FEAR is running with alot of different optimizations in the driver that Arma also benefit from. Here is the meassured result for Arma on my machine. The card is a GF7950GX2 and the same settings are in use in all three tests. Single-card config: 30fps. SLI without optimizations: 40fps. SLI with FEAR's optimizations: 55fps. Here you can see that by enabling SLI gives you a slight FPS-improvement, but the real performance-boost comes from the compatibility flags in the driver. There are 31 of them and unfortunately there is no info about them except a very few have the names of some games in them. So I'm not about to start testing all kinds of combinations there to see if I can push the performance further. Most likely it is as fast as it can go (going from 30 to 55 is close to twice as fast).

Sh1fty, WL1 for flamebaiting. The France Army/surrender stupidity got old a long time ago and is not tolerated on these forums.

Official support information & Troubleshooting FAQ
shadow replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
If you make a post seeking help with a troubleshooting issue you must post your system specs if you expect any kind of help. And please do not post a DirectX report, it's a mass of gobbledegook which is mostly meaningless. You should include as a minimum something like: CPU Graphics card (make, model, driver version, onboard ram) Sound card  (make, model and driver version) RAM (how much you have) ArmA version (which language, which patch) DirectX version (all should be using 9.0c anyway) So if I was going to make a troubleshooting post regarding my home PC I would post: AMD XP 2800 CPU Radeon 9800 XT 256mb with catalyst 6.9 Onboard Realtek AC97 soundcard with driver v A3.95 1GB Ram ArmA 1.01 Czech DirectX 9.0c -
Official support information & Troubleshooting FAQ
shadow replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
List of common issues and basic troubleshooting is available at Community Wiki Troubleshooting FAQ page Problem: Fix: Download and reinstall DirectX here. Problem: Fix: Applies to those using nVidia nForce LAN - don't use it. Use the other onboard card (if available) or a different networking card. -
I have noticed the best SLI profile for Arma so far is FEAR's. Quick way to try it: rename arma.exe to fear.exe.
