Actually Fast-roping is much slower than landing (fast insertion is fast landing and take off) PS. read the description, and it tells you how bad fast-roping management is in USMC :D

Soldiers turning into brainless toys and BIS coders dying of their worst nightmare have been achieved. the AI is DOWN. Well, in Arma 2 it seems there are plenty of free space, so it's obsolete. Helo can also make fast insertion, you don't always need fast-roping there.

Agreed. Heck...why haven't we seen them do something like in this: http://www.armedassault.eu/images/morfeoshow/inside_arma2-7989/big/SR_russian_mout_2.jpg Is there a good reason why we haven't seen them act smart and do amazing things? like in that AI video where one AI was tactically moving around in the city. Where's that centimeter precision ? All we've seen is AI laying on the floor. :/ -
I would say exact same about OFPDR PC version trailers...all we've seen is Console version shown, all of this is stupid, and they should show me some info, or otherwise I will rise to Arma 2 that comes to 100% for the PC! :mad: Rant threads...they're more than stupid.

Ok, sorry :rolleyes: I mislooked the 91%, I don't know where it came from, but this preview did not show any official scores, just user ratings -
PS3 is not tougher to code for, it's the complexity in scripts that need be placed, so in other works, to do same effect as in x360, PS3 needs more work from logic to do so, but ofcourse, it'll possibly also run that effect faster due to faster library. It seems to me that PS3 is just more low-level oriented than X360, which would be an extremly hard. (something like assembly, it's freaking complex, but once done it's faster than anything on the planet)

Lol, at the firefight video, like of all time 90% he/she was playing zoomed in (seems like stuff are like in arma, too tiny to shoot :D) and dies of typical arma AI, lying on a floor. Overally, these one's seemed to like what they saw. -

I think OFPDR has that nice 'game' feeling....or.....I don't know....it just appeals me moar. Arma 2 is surely missing something. Maybe that lighting? or the atmosphere? Or maybe Both? It's like if there was oxygen/wind in there, while arma2 screen are like the oxygen is not in there OFPDR feels more like it has weight in objects and is more relaxed in nature. Kind of hard to say why...(actually I think it's because either of Post-processing color-correction OR that the lighting seems to give different depth in different places for OFPDR (not talkind about that noise crap all over the pics)) -
From all these Previews levitating in the air, and have seen plenty of 'scope-view's I have been left disappointed to learn that Arma 2 is having Arma's aimdot sydrome. The problem with them and horrible aiming was, they are too small. Here's very good example I have: http://www.armaholic.com/pfs.php?m=view&v=4-arma2_preview_pcgames_april_15.jpg (btw, it's too close to screen, I know you can zoom, but hey, that's why exactly it's so awful sometimes) This how the EOTECH sigh is in the game, very well represents all aimdots, ironsights of entire game. (look at the ironsight of M4 throught eotech, it's barelly there!) This is a problem, since to aim the enemy here it takes to put my head infront of the enemy pixel and try to position that damn little 'aim' pixel just to notice, I am dead. Now what I am suggesting here, is, a tweak. Look at the real-life 'FP/Scope View' and ACTUAL EOTECH http://www.50magnum.com/551ret.jpg or http://brigadearmory.com/catalog/images/EOTECH%20512.jpg It's large and it glows. This one is how it should be! It's excellent and easier to aim an understand. Just get rid of Arma's pixel-small aimdot's please. It was a big turn-off for me in Arma. (What made Flashpoint gameplay shine over Arma!)

I will propably play the tutorial ofcourse :< then make over 100 squads WITH HUNTING RIFLE and hunt for the bigfoot. (have them report me if thy see it) :D -
yeah, but you still act like in 4 step rule :D and 22 million of more hardcore.... how much did killzone 2 sell again? it's 22 million potential customers, but it's way too much to even think about, if any other super crazy can't get more than 12 million.

welcome to feeling of current pc crowd, that's exactly how we feel about PC game ports of all games out there (especially on Ubisoft's front) 1. happens is hope, we hope to get a good game, then comes reasoning. 2.We begin to give reasons why they should do it on this/that platform. But after time passes 3. we either get the game, we praise the makers, or it won't come, we begin to hope and hate the makers 4. Accept the truth. that's how it's going for you guys here :)
