Record to a separate hard drive than what the game is on. It really slows things down when the HDD is trying to read the game files as well as recording video footage.

Make Arma Not War - Winners
Nicholas replied to Korneel's topic in Arma 3 - MAKE ARMA NOT WAR CONTEST - NEWS
I hate to say it, but I was relieved as well that the "DayZ Inspired" mods didn't win. -
Must have missed that. I've been saying this whole time that I agree it was deliberate. Check out my previous posts. I'm just trying to figure out the "why". ---------- Post added at 09:36 ---------- Previous post was at 09:33 ---------- But as I've previously said numerous times. Absolutely NOTHING can be confirmed until they find the contents of the other black box.
-
Added this to my previous post: I don't know. I think he deliberately did it, maybe trying to get life insurance money. There isn't any evidence that he did it deliberately though (Yet). They need that other black box that contains all the other information like control systems... ---------- Post added at 09:15 ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 ---------- We also don't know if the pilot actually typed in the code on the keypad to get in, all was heard was him banging on the door. We also didn't hear the door alarm in the cockpit, which should have been audible.

But we still don't know if something happened to him. We don't even know if he was conscious. All they heard on the recordings was him breathing, but that doesn't determine whether or not he was unconscious or conscious. I don't know. I think he deliberately did it, maybe trying to get life insurance money. There isn't any evidence that he did do it deliberately though.

This is a very high possibility. Good thinking Slatts.

I feel it was a deliberate maneuver by the co-pilot. Considering they were at cruise altitude, auto-pilot would have most likely been on. The co-pilot would have to shut this off and deliberately nose the plane down. It wasn't on auto-descent considering how the descent is not perfect. We really need that black box that has all the other data (Controls, engine details, etc.) in it to figure it out.

Considering they only made this game with 13 people and it is what SimCity 2013 should have been, it is well worth the $39.99. One of the greatest city simulation games around. If you liked SimCity 4 but hated SimCity 2013, get Cities: Skylines. Cities: Skylines isn't quite up to par with SimCity 4 as far as how in depth it gets, but it is 1000x better than SimCity 2013. It also looks eerily similar to SimCity 2013.

The amount of money that the US has simply given to other counties would probably cover a decent portion of it's debt.

They have a feedback tracker where you can report exploits/bugs/game issues privately to the devs without announcing it and showing it to the entire world.
-
Whatever it is, it's been spotted a few times recently flying high over the states. Too high to get any decent photographs. Jalopnik has a pretty good article on it. So What Were Those Secret Flying Wing Aircraft Spotted Over Texas? (And Kansas)

Frequent DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED crashes
Nicholas replied to scratches's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Can you run your DxDiag and upload it here? 1. Go to your start menu and type in "dxdiag" and press enter. (If it asks you to verify that drivers are signed, click yes.) 2. Once it is open, click on Save All Information. 3. Save it somewhere and upload it somewhere (Like unlisted on pastebin or something.) I can access it and look over your system specifications closer, such as your driver versions. -

You posted in the wrong section, but I'll try my best to help you. What are your system specifications? -
Crashing how and where? You did not leave any details of your particular problem.

Would having ArmA 3 installed on my SSD and the mods installed on my HDD hinder my performance much? Or would it simply be best to keep all the mods on the SSD with ArmA 3? Solved already. Sorry!

The New Sounds are Pretty Good.
Nicholas replied to thecoolsideofthepillow's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Today is the two year anniversary since ArmA 3 was released to the public in alpha. At least they're still supporting the game 2 years after its public release. These sounds are improvents and even the original sounds were a huuuge step up over ArmA 2 sounds. There was nothing for mods to "fix" as they weren't broken. I'm quite happy they're introducing all these new features, when half of them were never even promised to begin with. All I can say is better now than never. -
Very low fps on an overqualified computer for the game.
Nicholas replied to asd123's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
The ArmA 3 Launcher offers an easy way to set up parameters and even describes what each one does. It's a pretty nice launcher. I used to have an AMD 1100t as well as an AMD 6970. I usually played with my settings set to "Standard" with the default view distance. -
Random though: why did CSAT not receive a MLRS?

Tow-able artillery would be awesome and put that PhysX to some good use! -

Joining random public servers, most people definitely notice the new sounds and love them. "Woah! Did they change the sounds or something?!" is what I heard often. -
Pretty sure that you can use real-world diagrams when it comes to things like mil-dots in ArmA. I remember back in ArmA: Armed Assault (Combat Operations) you could use real world diagrams for the PSO-1 on the SVD. How to Get the Most out of your Mil-Dot Reticle Tested it and it seems to work: Please correct me if I'm wrong.
-
That would be awesome.
-
Still are addons/scripts that do such things. I've played on servers where you can adjust view distance as well as adjust grass or turn off grass completely.
-
Someone else has already stated that they are 3D/2D objects pasted onto a 2D background.

Works fine if you put them on the HDD. But if it's something like a map, I would suggest putting it on the SSD with ArmA.
