    Congratulations BI!!!!!

We have a dedicated DR thread in the off-topic section. Use that to discuss about DR instead. Sleek78 has been punished for talking about piracy. Discussions about copy protection or copying, backing-up, hacking, cracking or reverse engineering of any of BI's products or the products of any other developer will not be tolerated.
  5. I might release another upgrade in the future, with even more different unit classes and other changes. Don't expect it anytime soon though, because it requires a lot of work and I have other projects in plans too. I have a lot of ideas in my mind for new content and to enhance the current troops too significantly. I will ensure 100% compatibility with the previous version though. Although I have a lot of plans for the CRA troops of my own, I'm still all open for new ideas too. :)

    Help on units and weapons

As I said in the last page, most of the vanilla game models are located in data3d.pbo in the OFP Dta folder, aswell as the weapons. Having a modified PBO will most likely get you kicked in multiplayer servers, so it would be wise to make a standalone addOn of it, instead of overwriting the original game values.

    Help on units and weapons

You need to edit the config value "count" under CfgWeapons to change ammunation count in the clip. Most of the vanilla game models are located in data3d.pbo in the OFP Dta folder. Config definitions for them are found in in the config file located in the OFP Bin folder. Also, this doesn't seem like a mission editing question to me. Moving to Configs & Scripting section.

    PLAMC Camouflage

Well, that's definately not the worst looking camo I've seen. Check out this other PLA camo though: http://domhyde.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/pla-cloud-cam.jpg :p Usually the purpose of camouflages like that is for fast recognition in combat situations.

    ARMA 2? huh?

Since the original questions have now been answered and we really don't want to see anymore DR discussion here, until the dedicated DR discussion thread at the off-topic section has been opened, this thread shall be now closed.
  10. @ colonel stagler & ARM2CAT As long as it's for personal use only, I'm all fine with that. :)

    Radio Commands Question

Yes, it has been already answered not long time ago: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=71689 Please use the search function before posting. Closing.
  12. They're really interesting ideas, but we have an already existing AddOn request thread for ideas and requests. Please post there instead. Closing.
  13. The units are starting to look pretty promising. :) Keep it up.
  14. Thanks for the comments. I'm also glad to hear the English / multilanguage config has proven useful. It first sounded like a silly idea to me, but it seems like there are a lot of people out there who impatiently bought a copy of the game which doesn't support English. I don't think so. The reed camo pattern which the units are wearing was only adapted, as far as I know, only after some years from the fall of the Soviet Union, for the use of Russian MVD troops. It's a little similiar to the camo which Soviets adapted in the later years, but not quite.

    ARMA 2? huh?

Gruntcrazy asked for opinions and Sgt Cresswell gave his. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as the discussion is constructive and polite, it's all fine. If you can't take someone's opinion, you'd better not open your mouth then, because that's what got the FP: DR thread locked - The endless ranting between the forum members, because they disagreed on something.

    ARMA 2? huh?

Yes, of course I meant the original OFP made by BIS. I never said I don't like ARMA 2 either, just that I still prefer OFP. But this is going a bit off-topic so please, continue the original discussion. :)

    ARMA 2? huh?

ARMA 2 - The name tale: http://www.bistudio.com/developers-blog/arma-2-the-name-tale-3_en.html Personally I think OFP is still the best, so I can't say anything about your third question. Edit: Did you mean OFP or OFP: DR?

    WW4 Modpack 1

Personally I think it turned out really great. :) May I ask what tools were used to model it? Did you refer to any modeling tutorials and if so, which?
  19. I think somekind of photographer's tool would be quite useful, which allows you to decelerate / accelerate the game speed and maybe even play around with the postprocessing effects and other useful things while in the camera.sqs mode.
  20. Here's the update finally. Major changes are as follows: - Added some variency between the characters - Improved textures and models - New classes: APC Crewman, Tank Crewman and Pilot - Fixed the faction error caused in the game patch v.1.04 This update contains those new helmets and soldiers with rolled up sleeves which I've been showing, to add some variency to the characters. I've also improved the textures and models generally some bit too. As per special request from Cole, I've made two configs for the addOn: English config and multilanguage config. The reason for this slightly weird system is to support owners of non-multilanguage ARMA 2 copy, who wish to use this addOn with English displaynames, but cannot set it in the game's options. I'd like to thank all the translators (listed below), who helped me to translate the units' displaynames into all the game's official languages in the multilanguage config and also to correct some of the vanilla game translations. The archieve also contains an optional replacement addOn, which replaces the original OPFOR insurgent troops (ChDKZ) with my addOn. More info in the readme. Credits: - BIS, Ebud and CWR Mod for the base models and textures - Aelin, Benoist, Cervo, Cole, Diversant, Old Bear, SaS TrooP and The.D for translations of the displaynames to different languages Download link: Chernarussian Red Army troops (v.1.0) Please report any bugs or issues you find. Don't forget to post your general thoughts too. :)

    WW4 Modpack 1

The SCAR looks very good, Sanctuary. It's nice to see some newer generation weapons in the mod too. I'm sure it'll turn out pretty good, once fully finished. By the way, it's good that you changed the amount of light casted from the light poles in the main config. The original values were just an overkill. However, the Resistance light poles haven't changed, so I was wondering if you could fix those too?
