from what I can tell with the Acog in RL the redicule depends on what the buyer specifies, you can have ArmA's cross system, the yellow pointer, red pointer, red dots, mix of all of the above and more or even custom ones. check the Trijicon website and: You'll quickly see the number of possibilities are rediculas lol

First link is Israeli and 2nd link is an olive drab AH-1G I think, one of the old models. Modern marine cobra's come in gray and thats it. -

There is, just a matter of finding someone that knows how, since there is an artillery script in A2 it would be possible to call it in via the trigger, just a matter of finding out the commands. When I get home I'll have a look into it. -

Bugga performance etc, get the AI to learn how to drive, follow orders and not shoot through solid objects when their not meant to. Atm the game is bearly playable when you have the AI shooting you through terrain and buildings.

I would like to see the AI not running around like chooks with their heads chopped off when u say hold fire and stay in formation, I'd like to see AI that doesnt shoot you through walls, trees and even terrain, and an AI that can drive better than my 80yo grandmother (I'm not joking either, this AI is stupid behind the wheel). Bring back ArmA 1 AI, while it wasn't perfect atleast it followed orders and knew how to drive on the road :rolleyes: lol. Ofcourse doing better than A1 would be prefered :p

I think you've asked the question in the spot you know you'll get the answer you want. Tbh both games have their merrit, yes ArmA II is much more like OFP1, thats because it is OFP1, just heavily modified and its campaign quality lost. OFP2 has decided to focus on the ground combat and tbh I found the campaign in OFP2 more interesting. Having said that, ArmA's modability (and hopefully it will increase) gives it a good step up over OFP:DR's current non existant level and while OFP2 has alot of nifty features (not to mention an AI that seemed to react better and cheat less), ArmA's jack of all trades style keeps it in its own league. TBH I don't think the games can be compared, they've aimed for different styles of FPS, ArmA is a battlefield level game, OFP is a ground combat/squad level game. -

I agree its best to ask (atleast out of respect), and I always do myself, just pointing out a technicality :D After all in the end we're all here to mod and have fun. I wonder why BIS hasn't released the MLOD's for QG etc, after all with A2 out it would be nice :) -

The irony is that under that rule, ANY arma addon based off bis models (so every soldier, most vehicles and aircraft etc) can be modified by any member of the community and re-released (with credits ofcourse) without needing to seek permission from the author first since under the terms of the licence you have to licence your work under the same licence as the BIS models are, thus allow them to be modified and redistributed. Ofcourse claiming the work as your own would still be breaking the agreement and thus unacceptable. I wonder how many people have read the agreement and realise that. -

Twice and then some :( Game has potential but the silly issues that are left, like shadows and lods that are broken, really kills the immersion and fun. -
Mine hasnt crashed or had artifacts, I have a 4850, but ArmA II is still unoptimised and the fact that people accross the board are getting performance issues makes that a fact. If BIS would focus on improving the performance and fixing bugs like shadow issues, broken lods etc then A2 will be a great game, atm A1 is superior and I find myself playing it more which I dont see changing for awhile atleast.
