Those units are the USMC recon units that will be released with the mod. For the moment atleaset ACE requires only v1.09b. However I don't understand why people keep complaining about QG as a requirement. It's an official BI expansion, and anyone looking to stay up to date with addon/mod releases should just fork out the $30AUD for it (whether they deem it worthwhile or not). More and more addons/mods (especially islands) will have QG as a requirement. It's like people still asking if/why Resistance is a requirement for OFP stuff, it came out in 2002.

Quoting a post I made on the Pilfius forum on Dec 1 Creating profiles for any game/application is insanely easy, because after the 5-10 minutes it takes to train it you then only need to type the new commands in not say them. It can be set for either PTT or always on. Command lists can be broken up into sections like the ArmA radio menu (movement, mount, target, etc). I recommend PTT as always on can pick up many false commands (this also depends on your accuracy vs response time setting).

Now I understand better, I can't give you an OFP/ArmA example but if you've ever played the Full Spectrum Warrior Games then a squad control method like that would be awsome (I mean general unit movement not finding/using cover like AI do in FSW), however I don't even know if it would be possible.

Double posting and pointless thread bumping are frowned upon in this forum (and if it feels bad, don't do it). I really haven't had enough of a go of this yet but in the demo mission the UAV dialog is activated by (I assume having not looked) a blufor present trigger. Do I need to modify the script call for an addaction or radio trigger?

Benoist is right. Yes this is imported from OFP. The model was originally by Scars and donated for use by both RHS and FFUR (I believe). Despite being an OFP import it is a fantastic model and for me a BI game without a hind is just not right so this is a permanent addition to my mod folders. @Falcon 1: I too was hoping to see what RHS is upto at the moment but found their site down.

I would prefer not to have to read all 60 pages of this thread to find out if this has already been covered. Does RKSL plan to implement it's own UAV system or 'borrow' EMSI' one?

Additional to this, once the engine is turned on it falls to the ground. Also would it be possible to up the amount of damage required for the Alouette damage textures to be shown? Because I shot one round from the Star pistol and it swiss cheesed the windshield like it was firing 9mm fragmentation grenades. The first page of this thread also lists the Alouette III for download in 4 versions. Yet ArmAholic lists this as an addition to the next version. Just thought you were jumping the gun a bit with a clickable yet non-functional download link. Other than that, kickass release fellas. I've been looking forward to the Bush Wars Mod since it's announcement in OFP.

OK, just personally this is starting to suck (not XEH in general). I have about 10 different addons with (apparently) different versions of the Extended Eventhandler addons included. some that have the same main file name but different bisign names etc. what the hell am I meant to be installing? Forgive this post if it sounds shitty/shirty/snarky/rude, it's late and I'm drunk and confused. <span style='font-size:6pt;line-height:100%'>and yes wednesday is a good day to be drinking.</span>

I'm adamant the sky textures are changeable as they were in OFP but I'm pretty sure (based on assumption only) that the water would be hard coded, the water texture is changeable so perhaps a completely opaque texture could get what you're after. However I don't know if that would just leave the ocean floor visible or if a landless map even has an ocean floor. Having said that, a transparent ocean would certainly still allow you to crash into it.

You need Lowfly's EditorUpdate v1.02 to unlock a 22mx22m patch of water that can be setpos'd to the required height. This pic was made using the aforementioned EU and Kronzky's Object Placer script. I was hoping to flood Sarahni but the panels (using this script at least) don't sit properly, can look good in screen shots (from the correct angle) but looks crap in game. Also if the unit starts in the water sometimes the swiiming anim won't kick in until you've run to the edge of the next 22m panel (also AI aren't always affected by it). edit: Additionally, if you swim past the edge of your watered area the swim anim doesn't stop, leaving you swimming through the air at the height you setpos'd the water to.

Your pistol pack is now a permanent addition to my weapons mod folder and although have yet to download you rifles addons I plan to with your next release. The acronym RHS has long been given to Red Hammer Studios (purveyor of fine eastern bloc infantry, vehicles, weapons). Nobody's fault, just commenting. </offtopic> Go RH weapons

Surely it wouldn't be that hard to implement. Trigger based tripwires have been doable since day 1 of OFP and addons have been released that have tripwire mines (Mapfact Objects as one example).

About the addons included in the demo, can you list what these are? I would normally think nothing of 63mb but my internet's been screwy recently and it will take all night to download. Just wondering if these are already available addons or your own. If already available I may have them, see my point. Having said that I would still need you to upload an addon free archive. Never mind I'll just have to leave it running over night then to war tomorrow.
