    Awesome! Great work, Im actually just now reinstalling ArmA and figured Id check the forum for new stuff love mgs4 so this is a great find. You should seriously look into getting them Scars, it'd be a really nice finishing touch and you know you now have to model the Irvings[gekkou], right? :P Hehe, thanks again

    Any way to easily replace the ACU standard units with the new MARPAT marines camo used in WARFARE 1.0? Probably a simple config replacement addon[that I dont know how to do], but Id appreciate if someone could whip that up for me :P Thanks in advance, hope this was the best place to put it

    1st Infantry Division

    Sorry if this has been said, but I just downloaded these and found a slight bug/problem on my computer... When you make your character look straight down, and then look at his shoulders, his shoulderblades stick far up above his uniform. Now, Im not saying its the addon for sure, it might just be my system[i *think* I have seen this problem on the standard BIS models as well].. Ill get pics in an hour or so and put up a link to an image. if you could let me know if its the animations, my computer , or something else, that would be awesome! Till then, These are AWESOME!
  10. In the format in which it has been distributed, you'd have to replace some of the installed stuff to get it to work. You'd have to un-pbo <ArmA>/AddOns/weapons.pbo, overwrite the "<ArmA>/AddOns/weapons/sound" directory with the new one in this pack then re-pbo to make a new weapons.pbo. Thanks, although, as I said, thats not something Im willing to do when there are easier sound mods to install. Especially since I havent heard any samples or youtube clips containing this one. Look forward to an addon folder release of these so I can check them out and still play online.

  12. "Just replace Addons\weapons\sound folder with this folder." Thats all that the readme says.... in the addons folder... there arent folders....what do I do? Im not about to replace the addons folder stuff either, thats ridiculous. Id like to hear these and check them out, but I'm not about to replace the originals or open up .pbo's.

    Could we see a pic of the plants in the south/desert area? This looks awesome, as I sometimes tire of the palm tree desert look.. Just wouldn't mind seeing how the south part looks, as you said it was a bit "meh" Thanks, looks great!

    Check your shortcut E:\games\ArmA\beta\arma.exe -mod=beta;dbe1 -nosplash Heh, yeah. Just got help from another. I feel like an idiot... Didnt know it changed exe's Thanks Aside from that, as I said in the other post, this patch has done wonders on my end!

    Your shortcut is probably pointing to the old 1.08 exe. It should be ArmA\beta\arma.exe, not ArmA\arma.exe. Heh, a very helpful first post if I may say so myself. :doh: Thanks, aside from that, this patch has done wonders.

    This is the error I get when trying to run the patch w/ Queen's Gambit. At first, I was getting another error, about another beta addition, but I realized I had Queen's Gambit being loaded in the mod list before the beta. So I switched it and now i get this similar but different (referenced file) error. I know it says in the readme that it can "only" be opened from the beta shortcut created, but that doesnt load up QG, and all is has different is the added line of "beta" in the added mod/addon listing. Am I just an idiot? I hope not Help? I hope this is the right thread? I figured it didnt belong in 1.09 beta feedback... *edit* It DOES work in original ArmA for me though, but I'd like to get it running for Queen's Gambit...

    Well, A+ from me also. Mouse is massively more smooth and realistic to move around. Aiming is now something that feels natural. Firefights are not so feared now that I know I can aim Yeah, the compass should be close to your face, especially if youre using the needle (not on the compass, but on the case) to line up a path and check its heading. You put it close to your eye. Theres also another way to hold it I learned, which was further from the eye, but in short, the compass is close to the eye in some methods. not to mention, as said, we can read it much easier now Do the AI use grenades more often now for anyone else? I noticed SEVERAL handfuls of grenades being thrown at me. It wasnt annoying, and its prolly somewhat realistic, but they were really starting to spam them FPS have been drastically improved for me in the north as said in the beta release info. Im really starting to love playing ara more and more. I loved it to start, but these things just make it better and better! I'll post back later after Ive had some more fun with it, but dang!!!! Only thing I had so far was for some reason, I couldnt start up QG with the beta. Is that correct? it gave me an error... Finally I got it to work by making a new shortcut to my original arma with only -beta addon activated... Any suggestions? Overall, amazing job!!!

    Ghillie snipers - by xam mod

    They look like the normal XAM ones, which means, they sometimes have that invisible area around them. Its never looked as bad as in wipmans pic for me though. One thing that bugs the hell outta me is when you "focus" with them (zooming in) they immediately start breathing heavily. This is very annoying and...not realistic? i dont even know what it simulates... maybe its another addon Im just now noticing, but yeah, even when they run, they immediately start breathing heavily, and FAST! I think a sniper/spotter would be more fit than the average soldier, but thats just me guessing

    Ummm, how do you determine which one you want without having to load up each one and look at it? I dont have a .pbo opener and dont want to have to deal with that... a screenshot in each one would have been nice and easy. Or am I missing something? Im liking the sounds of this though, and if I read correctly, the scope fix, itself, is also included, right?

    Fromz's Chinese Stuff

    These are awesome. I'm so glad to see something worth using as Opfor over the standard Russian type soldiers. I love the weapon variants and the inclusion of the scoped QB-rifle puts them on par with the US Blufor soldiers using the ACOG! The Chinese machine gun has such a great feel to it when firing out on troops maneuvering in the distance!!! Thank you! Looking forward to maybe an eventual inclusion of some tanks and such. Or if anything, just the refinement of these soldiers. i dont mind using non accurate tanks alongside these guys. Great work, keep it up!!!!

    Looking for a mod.

    The slider fixes the hands and rifle in the center of the screen, but it will still look terrible when you look straight up. I think the movement of the hands/arms when looking up is a bit too over done, because then the rifle gets right in front of your "screen", is really large, and looks really fake. I would like to see a mod made that reduces the extent of which the players arms move (even when the float zone is 0). To see what I want taken out, look straight up, your gun is covering your whole screen.. This thread is in the wrong place...

    Wow... not cool....? Not to be a dick, but you really shouldnt be generalizing about a country like that. i dont know if youre from here, but come on... comments like this are incredibly rude, regardless of what you think about the country(whats that quote? "I might not agree with your opinion, but I'll fight to the death for your right to have it"... something along that...). Especially since this thread is about a sound mod and nothing to do with the United States... Very uncalled for.

    Not to beat a dead horse because I know you replied once already to this in the negative, but as far as trees being run over, am I correct in that there is a crashing tree sound played? If so, would that mean that SOMETHING knows a tree is falling and therefore, you could just tack on the dust/dirt kickup on where the sound is cued? I cant remember if there is a sound or not... maybe it is just the sound the tank calls up when it hits a tree.. in which case I think that wouldnt help.. sorry! Id just like to see that in if at all possible.. tearing up the earth in a tank in ArmA is still too squeaky clean Thanks for the great addon though!!
