    One small thing that always bugs me is when trees get run over they just simply fall... would it be easy to add a sort of dirt explosion at the base of the tree? Sort of like, roots being uprooted and sending just a little bit of dirt up? Nothing huge, but come on, a tank knocking over a tree is not just gonna turn it over in the cheesy way thats shown now... just a little suggestion seeing as you're so good at making ArmA look good Thanks for the great updates!

    So, I hate to come across as a total noob, but I am still unsure as to what this fixes. I don't mean to be a dick, because if theres something being fixed thats a problem, I am of course, incredibly grateful. But, I guess I'm unsure as to what was wrong... The standing animations and such never looked wrong to me... any one get a video or something showing a before and after maybe? Haha, I'm sorry, but this must be something I am just TOTALLY oblivious to! Thanks!

    Wow. Simply...Wow. This has seriously renewed my love for ArmA. Tank battles on Sarhani lite are AMAZING. Searching for enemy t72's as you roll through a sand storm, crash landing your cobra in the middle of a sandstorm and running for your life from behind enemy lines, seeing your infantry support in the distance just appear out of the sand. This is amazing stuff. I will never create another mission without throwing one of these effects in! EVER! Thank You!

    Ill put this here because it seems to be the most relevant... How hard would it be to simplify the AI? Not make them dumber or anything, but remove some coding that seems to bog them down. like, not drop to the ground after every shot, stop thinking somuch in general. Its terrible to see them in the middle of a street dropping to the ground, getting up, dropping to the ground, then running for cover... They seem to be programmed to think too much... I just wonder if theres a way to make them just a bit more decicisve and just run for cover OR drop to the ground and start firing... Things like that... The AI is a hog, and to me, I think they dont need much of the coding that they have (in all honesty i dont know the extent of their code, I just know they look ridiculous and I think its due to them trying to do too many things at once) This is talking about standard AI< not yours, I like yoursr.

    beautiful! I feel like Im actually firing a gun, and I feel like im actually in control of it! I hated how the gun would lower itself from some random recoil effect... But now, thats all gone. I was downing baddies out to a good distance (realistic distance, not ridiculous) To a distance I thought was about right for the rate at which I was firing. Only problem for me in ArmA now is the fact that AI still hogs my CPU... need a good AI script cleaner or something, make them not "think" so much and just "act".

    Forgive my stupidity, but whats the main dif between True View Original and True View Accurate? Do they more or less try to do the same thing, just slightly different so theres two versions?     UNA British Mod

    Wow. I WAS excited about finally getting a British pack (after playing so much Project Reality, I've grown to love Brit weapons) But now all of this. I'm inclined to side with the OP, but thats just me not wanting to cause problems and believe. Anyway, I know that Im not in a position to say, but come on, IMO, they are just models. Yeah, sure, if he did in fact take them without permission, shame on him, but really, they are just models... Im sure they take tons of time and yes, one should ask before taking it, but really... Its an addon. For a game. A buggy game at that. (please dont take this as my looking down on modding or saying its easy or that I agree with theft of work. I'm not. Dont make unreasonable jumps for these statements. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into mods.) Now, I hope this gets settled, and for the sake of being honest, I wont DL until this is all cleared up, but... smile... *edit* what I mean to say is that the OP and the person who was allegedly stolen from should take this into private matters and resolve it. It wont help with all the abuse from both sides jumping in when its not your models. That being said, im gonna duck out and not get involved any more... I should have listened to my own words and not jumped in at all but, im an idiot.

    Great. I just cleared the first city after a few hours... had to track em all down and ranked up twice! But, I saved after... im just worried it wont keep my rank. I took a SS of it, but it shows up blank in the text field (top left) Maybe i took it a second too late If the save doesnt work, I might be back in here asking for a PM of the first city and first two rank ups Just lettin you all know.. oops, forgot to say how much i love it. everything was great. clearing that first town on my own was intense... i went from m16a1 to dragunov to ak... even took over an enemy disabled tank and used its main gun! now im moving in to Somato(right?) with an MH-6 full of my squad!!! love it!! just hoping the save works...

    quick probably useless question: when installing, it only mentions to move the pbo file into the missions folder. Done. But what about the EvolutionSP.sara Folder that is included in the zip? anything done with it? or is it there for reference for modders...? thanks. for some reason i find adding mods into arma a tad confusing at times...even though i KNOW its pretty straight forward looking forward to having A LOT of fun with this

    Whats the point!

    Im new to the addon world of arma, but when I download an addon, its annoying how i will never see it in singleplayer... are there ways to override the old textures/models so that you see them in singleplayer/already made missions? This is probably a dumb question, but i was just wondering... i get all these sweet addons and the only way i get to use them is to make my own mission in the editor... and my missions are incredibly straight forward Thanks

    Zoom levels

    lack of zoom in Red Orchestra worked out fine. You dont need to see insane detail on the enemy, just get the iron sight on him and shoot. miss? try again. if hes that far, of course it might be a bit difficult to get him. then when you use scopes and such, use the realistic values and everything is cool. (even though Red Orchesra lost my gametime to BF2's Project Reality and ArmA) : ) *edit* this isnt meant to complain more or anything. I was just stating that I liked Red Orchestras use of zoom and lack-of zoom. Dont know what they used as your default view (1x or whatnot, maybe less... cuz you had a good FOV...)
  18. It has been annoying me since I got the game. When you hold a weapon with an underslung grenade launcher, your hand glitches through the bottom of the launcher and goes right where your hand would be if the launcher were not there. It also happens to a lesser extent on rifles with an added rail underneath and some others. It is not too serious, but it really takes away from the realism and screams "Hey, I'm playing a video game that can't work out its models!" Love the game, but yeah, wish this could be fixed, any info on fixing this would be appreciated... It may have been mentioned before, but I couldnt find any mention of it...

    i understand that, i know they use a 3d style/full body... but what i dont get is how people are like "omg, they dont need to fix it" yeah, take your time, i was just putting it out there... i just fail to understand why people are so defensive and lax about this getting fixed... (i can live with it, and i will... i guess theres no need for further discussion, seeing as it would be SOOO hard for them to do it.....) surely they have animators who could get that done in no time..

    WHAT!? how terrible of a game would that be??!! i hope that isnt true, if so, how do they deal with pistols? anti tank? there IS a way.. there has to be. im not saying its terrible of them to not get on it, im just suprised.. not EVERY gun shares the same animation. if it did, thatd be awful...

    I agree here. I mean, i dont need a different anim for an m16 and also an m4... You could just get one for all rifle classes, all assault, all grenade launcher... they would line up pretty well. its fine if a hand glitches a little bit, like, at the fingers, thats just minute... but when your hand sticks between the launcher and the barrel...thats just absurd..you know? im not trying to be a dick when i say people were defensive. i totally understand how it might not need to be fixed right away, but when i show people the game and try to "sell" it in a way... people see that and what are they supposed to think? you know? I really just think it would help the game out in those ways... right? Okita

    wow... i didnt think people would get so defensive, i mean, sorry for wishing a product was a bit less glitchy... honestly, the hand is the least of my problems, it is just something that, in my opinion, should never have made it into the final build... its not like im always watching it, but honestly, its pretty unsightly for a game based on realism... and its something ive never seen in any other game... take it easy

    so, they are updating the game but cant/wont do something as simple as changing a little hand position? hmm... well, i hope someone with the knowledge gets on that when the tools arrive... it seems like it would be one of the first things noticed and fixed... shouldnt have even made it as far as the release..and to 1.05... but yeah, i can live with it, and I will... but one can hope...

    Zmod (Crappy Zombie Mod)

    nothin' on my end either... I have a Woodland Camo pack installed (shows up on the US (what is that.. BLUFOR? (what the hell does that mean anyway??))) But that shouldnt keep it from showing up under independent... and frankly, if my having other mods keeps this from showing up, i think ill wait till thats not the case! : ) Loving the idea though, and honestly cant wait to get it working on my PC...

    Zmod (Crappy Zombie Mod)

    so, i found my missions directory is different... it is in my documents/arma/mossions anway, i made the mission, placed it in, and it brought up: Bad vehicle type NeM_Zombie1_Slow (i also tried it with zombie_1Slow, in case it was a typo, just in case) anyway, i dont know why it wouldnt be working... the installation, if you can even call it that, is so incredibly simple....ughh... oh well... ill wait it out till the next update maybe...
