  1. For some reason i was under the impression that I needed to use the Addon Builder with the P:\ drive. But Ive found out that it doesn't work that way. Everything links to the actual steam/tools dir. Only path used from P drive was for the "Path to project folder".
  2. Thanks to all you guys that made this vehicle pack possible. Really enjoying it. Lots of questions but Im going to save them for a later time.

VBS2/3 Discussion thread - the one and only

Dont forget assets. just sayin. But I dont know what that really has to do with anything in general. But what do i know. Heres a random thought. Unity is making alot of sense right now.
  5. Im thinking Unity3d. One of the tools that was used to make ARMA Tactics. Its multiplatform aswell. But thats just me thinking.

    P:/ Drive for Arma 3

I personally recommend using it. I know you mentioned you didnt want one. But its so easy to use. Maybe some info to change your mind. Understanding of a "Substitute drive" Files to play with. Substitute drive.zip You will need to make a project folder that your going to use for the Sub drive. This will be where your addons an such will be. You can make this folder anywhere you want. Place the two bat files from the zip into the folder you made an right click on the "Enable X Drive" an select edit. Change the X: to what ever letter you want. Like P: for example. Then change the path "G:\A3Work" to the path where you made your project folder. save an close. Next edit the "Disable X Drive" bat file same way. All you need to change is the X: to what ever letter you used for the "Enable X Drive" bat file. Save an close. Double click the "Enable X Drive" an you should see it display in a second or so. Small tip thou. When you delete something from your sub drive I think it permanently deletes it.So you wont be able to recover from the recycle bin if needed. But its easy to setup a sub drive.

    texture pathing for ports.

I was just stating what I would do. Using the Mass texturing option doesn't change the texture paths in the .rvmats. It only changes the path to the main texture an the path to the .rvmats. Your still going to need paths changed inside the .rvmats as you figured out. Thats why I mentioned opening all those .rvmats an replace the paths as needed with one click after defining the path of course.

    texture pathing for ports.

If I have to change names for textures paths I just open all models an .rvmats with something like notepad++ an do the "Replace" an use the "Replace All in All Open documents" with the paths I need to change then Save All an Close All. Done. its that simple. Unless you mess up. Just sayin...

    MRAP Maxxpro-Light armoed Vehicle

I was going to do some type of source port using sample info but backed down since I dont really have time for it at the moment. Might poke it more at a later time. http://barbermods.com/namn.html

This will be interesting. Im curious what changes they will do or if they plan to just port the content as it is.
  13. Im not positive, just guessing the first thing I think of. Could your path's be to long in means of Text used an get canceled out when getting Bin'ed? Shorten the path to something short an sweet.
  14. Think I was wrong with what I posted. Um hit me up on skype if you want maybe we can resolve this issue.
  15. Add these startup commands to your Buldozer.exe in Oxygen. -profiles=X:\profiles\ -name=Buldozer Start the viewer an it will make the files for you now the trick is to go into the "profiles\Users\Buldozer" folder an open the Buldozer.cfg file. Paste in version=1; blood=1; singleVoice=0; maxSamplesPlayed=96; anisoFilter=4; textureQuality=10; shadowQuality=3; tripleHead=0; useExtendetInfoType=1; language="English"; forcedAdapterId=-1; detectedAdapterId=0; detectedAdapterVendorId=4318; detectedAdapterDeviceId=4676; detectedAdapterSubSysId=358168642; detectedAdapterRevision=161; detectedAdapterBenchmark=237; winX=16; winY=32; winWidth=1024; winHeight=768; winDefWidth=1024; winDefHeight=768; fullScreenWidth=1920; fullScreenHeight=1080; renderWidth=1920; renderHeight=1080; multiSampleCount=1; multiSampleQuality=0; particlesQuality=1; GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; HDRPrecision=16; vsync=1; AToC=0; cloudsQuality=10; pipQuality=2; dynamicLightsQuality=1; PPAA=0; ppSSAO=0; ppCaustics=1; ppBloom=1; ppRotBlur=1; ppRadialBlur=1; ppDOF=1; tripleBuffering=0; sceneComplexity=300000; shadowZDistance=100; viewDistance=1600; preferredObjectViewDistance=1300; terrainGrid=25; volumeCD=10; volumeFX=10; volumeSpeech=10; volumeVoN=10; vonRecThreshold=0.029999999; gamma=1; brightness=1; fovTop=0.75; fovLeft=1; uiTopLeftX=0.074999988; uiTopLeftY=0.074999988; uiBottomRightX=0.92500001; uiBottomRightY=0.92500001; IGUIScale=0.85000002; Make adjustments that you need an save the file. The main trick is to select the buldozer.cfg an right click select properties and in the Generals tab at the bottom check the "Read-Only" box. If you do not do this O2 will overwrite the file back to default. After all thats done your ready to go. Start The Viewer. But remember when makeing adjustments to the .cfg file dont forget to keep it on "Read-Only" when your not editing it to your needs.
  16. Adjust your "posun wheel_X_X" memory points. One should be at the center of the wheel like the wheel axis an the other should be above it. The one above is the one to adjust in Y-axis. Well thats what I adjusted to fix my floating problem.
  17. Can all the Samples be used for VBS2 projects for PE users? If not is their anyone to talk about considering releasing a license to do so?

    PhysX LOD Causing Crashing

Im wondering what the lod "Geometry Buoyancy" is for?
  24. Did you know that Arrowhead was 29.99 when it was a released as a standalone title? So why cant DayZ be at the same price? Im sure you wish to see the Series continue in its development right? Im sure you also know it take's revenue to fund a project like DayZ. If it was another Studio doing a standalone title based from a previous game or what ever it would be priced at 59.99 with 29.99 DLC packages an other horse shit DLC's that was ready to download when the title was released. Besides 29.99 US, is such a small price for many years of entertainment.
