  1. hmm...OK, the most obvious reason seems to be that ArmA3 tools installation ran faulty in some way, and I missed to let ArmA3P run over the tools right after installation. The latest binarizon worked well.
  2. Could please one of the Terrain Experts here explain why Binarize keeps crashing for no reasons? That would be too kind. I dont get it, If I keep a _ in the WRP name as I have named it while export the .wrp file and defined it in the config, it keeps crashing. If I remove the _ it does not crash...Sorry but that is so annoying and makes no sense. I really would like to reproduce the reason for a crash, but this is not possible. So could please anybody explain what it is all about?

  5. well, the configs are now included, but the clutter issue still persists...however, no reason to feel stupid ;). I just need to dig deeper in order to locate the reason for this issue. EDIT: removed the "dick" :D
  6. I´ve added the class Defaultclutter to the cfgClutter.h and now there are no Errors anymore in the config, cfgsurfaces and cfgclutter (Eliteness LintCheck). No Clutter ingame nonetheless. I believe that there must be somethings wrong deep in my Island. I also encountered somethings strange about binarize crashes. I cant tell it at the Moment, but I try to explain that a Little later. But I can tell so far...the reason for the Binarize crashes I came across today made no sense :(

    OK, may the other guys here correct me if I am wrong, but you can skip the normal map. Do you got your steam running while using Terrain Builder? What I have read about this error message is that it mostley appears when steam is not running while one is using a steam product. Google results

    As far as I know, so normal map is not really necessary, but what I wonder about in the first place...you got a satellite map (Satmap)? what filetype is your Terrain file? EDIT: you got running an active steam account while using TB?

Before I try the mentioned things I wanted to ask whether this might cause some things...I just made the lintCheck with Eliteness (latest version) and it sayed no errors for the config.cpp and the cfgsurfaces.h, but it does for the Clutter. h. This is what it has said...might this be responsible for the issue? This is how it looks like in the config class CAWorld; class Stratis: CAWorld I am going to do that reporting back as soon as I got new results. Thanks for your advices so far guys.
  10. OK, I tried it and I now got the configs having included into the config.cpp, so this issue can be skipped now. The clutters are not showing up nonetheless...I have checked everythings and dont really know what the reason is for this. so this leaves me holding on for a while and start looking for typing issues or other reasons for this issue to happen. But the thing with the .h instead of .hpp is somethings I really wonder about. Most of the terrain guys here are using hpp filetype, isnt´t it?

  13. how do you manage to get your clutter showing up ingame...I mean this cant be black magic, I did always manage to get them working earlier by the include commands...Interesting to know what has been changed that it is no more working.
  14. yes, I did...for what I understand from this, I´d say PboProject means everything is fine: MEM\MEM_IslaSorna\cfgClutter.hpp 1 file(s) copied MEM\MEM_IslaSorna\cfgSurfaces.hpp 1 file(s) copied rapify x32UnicodeVersion 1.75, Dll 4.91 "config.cpp" scanning cfgPatches...ok (altered) No Error(s) Output is to config.bin whereas I am not sure whether its a correct process when the files have just been copied...but thats out of my knowledge about this
  15. no, it didnt worked at all so far. I tried everythings from including up to having the classes in the config already. Nothings worked so far. I also checked whether the texture names are correckt by the way...just if the question should come up. I will take a look into the thread you´ve posted.

    Buldozer runs perfectly for me. This is how my preferences are set: -buldozer -name=Buldozer -window -exThreads=0 -disableSteam -noAsserts -cfg=p:\buldozer.cfg -showScriptErrors my be copy it to your preferences and see what happens...I am not sure what the "-connect=pipe\1A041E,8EDB" is about that you have set in your preferences.
  17. Same for me here, I have two projects with the same terrain.xyz file. The one does but have just 1 texture while the other Island has 4, the one with 4 textures keeps crashing since yesterday, the other runs perfectly through binarize. the second one ran perfectly before. I only had made some changes at the config that has let the binarize keeps crashing until now. Even with a working config it keeps crashing and all I got from the logfile is MEM\MEM_IslaNubla\texHeaders.bin 1 file(s) copied 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. ...crash.. what is the reason for the crash?...this makes no sense :mad::mad:

    Nevermind, my Problem was caused by Addon Builder. By using PboProject, everythings works fine.

Hey there, I know that some of you now might wonder why I ask this, espacially because there are so many clutter.hpp posted in here already...the answer is, that I simply like to have a basic example of all possible clutter and I also like to have the latest example of clutter.hpp like BIS is handling this. The Clutter folder in plants_f provides a lot of them and as the surfaces.hpp is hidden and seperated in map_data.pbo, so I wonder where the Clutter config has been hidden. I searched the config first and thought that I´d found the class clutter right in there as it was used to in ArmA2 config. Then I have unpacked lots of pbos, but I still cant find the clutter definitions. But for ArmA3 the config seems to be ripped apart and stored in different pbos (what is the advantage of this actually?). So, does anybofy knows in which pbo I can find the class clutter?

Thank you M1lkm8n after a longer search I finally found what I was looking for...it was a bit hard to realize that the surface and clutterdefinitions are packed together in one pbo seperated from the config, where in ArmA2 the surfaces and clutters has been part of the same config...nice to know, no wonder that I havent found what I was looking for, thanks.

    Generating title problems...

    did you changed anythings at the pathes? Did you changed any textures and forgot to change a reference in one of the related files? In other words, did you checked and double checked whether everythings is OK on your side?

    Map Not in Game?

    I need a little advice sirs, I got all my stuff done but the Map is not ingame due to a faulty packing process. I am using AddonBuilder but have downloaded all the pboprojects stuff. But in this case I assume that the Problem does not rest on the packing Programm but more by any mistake that I cant find. The RVMAT´s in the data/layer folder are not generated AddonBuilder.Tasks.ProcessBuildTask.process_ErrorDataReceived - Cannot load material file mem\mem_islanubla\data\layers\p_010-010_l02.rvmat. I have also experienced, that the Temp output says not mem\mem_islanubla\...it just says mem_islanubla\... Same for the unpacked pbo file I have but checked all pathes and files and cant finbd any path related issue as the layer generation and texture creating via Buldozer runs without any issues. do you guys got any ideas? config: http://pastebin.com/VEWNza6J

  24. Hey there, I searched around a lot in the forums for the question why the heck my hightfileds are not shown up or even are beeing used in Terrain Builder. If I import an Hightfield it is not shown in the scene view Window, it is but existing in the layers window. Even if I set the respective coordinates and zoom all the way out I can see only an edge that does not corrospond to an actualy square map (See screenshot in the spoiler below). If I am going further and import the Sat Map and load up all this in Buldozer, so I got my world..yes, with Textures, SatMap, everythings...but its flat...there is no hightfield beeing used and it rests under a few feet of water. Now I wonder whether it has somethings to do with a messed up Terrain Builder or is there an other issue that is causing this? I would follow any Tutorial...but I cant find any good Terrain Builder specified Tutorials anymore in the Forums...the ressources I knew so far are either outdated (Visitor 3) or have been deleted or are not available anymore for any other reasons. (I do know about the Visitor 4 Tutorial that still does exist...but it also doesnt answer my question) So if anyone could help me in both matters (may be knowing what went wrong with my Hightfield issue and may be point me to good tutorials I havent found yet...if they exist) So, I´d be very thankfull. regards Memphis
  25. I have answered to this in your other thread, that one should be used to discuss your issue. I dont know whether it is a bug as it doesnt seem to happen quite often..I dont know, thats just a guess.
