Most of Vilas vehicles like the OT-64 SKOT and his weapons like the AKM are quite well done, they just suffer from lack of material and normal maps. I think the vehicles would look 100% better with them.

I was looking into editing this into a mercenary style mission for our server, but when I tried to open the mission to just muck around and see how it worked I couldn't convince it to open in the editor. Is it encrypted somehow or did I just screw it up?

the support waypoint is not working 4 me

Try putting the support waypoint right on top of the unit, by clicking the unit its self when placing the waypoint. -

I would try and finish up a good part of it, as I imagine the new tools will be soon and you'll be able to import newer things using that. -
The only major NATO tank with a rifled gun I can think of is the Challenger. And the weight isnt pure armor, I remember early T-80s had comparable armor to early M1s against SABOT rounds but the T-80 weighed far less. But the big thing with Russian tanks in ERA which can completely deflect a SABOT round and makes most HEAT rounds nearly useless.

It will be hard to model Russian armor without some way of implenting ERA stopping SABOT rounds. Can we do custom armor selections yet? Im pretty sure the T-90 can shoot way further then 2km, but lets not turn this into an Abrams vs T-90 argument. :P

T-90 would wipe the floor with an M1A1. Its a pretty old tank.

I think its a problem with the ArmA flight model a bit, but the KA-50 is one of the few helicopters that can do a full flat turn at any speed, conventional tail rotor choppers have to do it at lower speeds. -

Hmm I'm having a weird bug, I made some config changes and the unit vanished from the list in the editor. When I went back to the old configs its still not there. Was something changed in 1.08?

is this a need for speed convert or using textures from there? Need for speed textures have an alpha channel which is used in ArmA for transparancy. Remove the alpha channel and the textures should be fine. Edit: Mucked around in the editor with it. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums....con.jpg
