I thought you didn't like being referred to as Rock... Ontopic, superb lineup you have there. I was just wondering however, who's gonna make your pilots?.
-
I registered in the bug traker, but then i thought this was too minor to report there. As you are probably aware the tracers for the cannons are the default ones. Will you be using Sickboys tracers for the next version. Excellent addon. Two thumbs up

You mean there's more!!!!. This just keeps getting better.

It's a great update, and like others have already said, there's some superb lookng models. Actually it all looks very professional. When i was getting closer to the bottom of the post i was licking my lips for screens of your soldier models. Maybe in the next update eh guys, eh.

I had an error reporting something along the lines of "M113 skeleton". The gunners turret will not rotate. Other than that, this is a high quality set of units.

Ahh, sweet memories from the good old Flashpoint days. Thankyou Turkish Union Mod, very much appreciated.

Clarifacation on my previous post. I can clearly see that a lot of work has gone into this project but it struck me as somewhat odd that you would remake all of the US men and vehicles when we for some time knew that the Cold War Rearmed mod was already going to produce these. Also the fact that Fischkopp is producing marines from the mid 80s makes me wonder if all this hard work will be wasted. Taking note of threads like this is what promted me to make this comment in the first place.click me please However, having read Shadow NXs' post i now understand this. I appologise if my comment offended anyone as i meant no disrespect.

Gore Limb Dismemberment Mod? WIP?
mr reality replied to =Spetsnaz='s topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I served in the British army 87-93 and that's how i remember it. We were training to fight against a massive army of the soviet union and injuring one soldier is equal to taking three soldiers of the battlefield. This has nothing to do with the introduction of the 5.56mm round in the mid eighties however. The smaller round was introduced to standardize the UK with the US and NATO. -

How did this thread escape me. There are some excellent models on show in here. Superb work guys. Are there any beta images of the german soldiers. That bunker looks very imposing, awsome work. -
More unification in addon-making needed!
mr reality replied to Ezekiel's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This sort of thing eventually happens towards the end of a games life. Looking at OFP, we had the FFUR mods and there where two other very good mods that included all the best addons to date. Modding for ArmA has only just taken off, it's mainly been reskins and the overall look of these new addons looks very promising. -
I noticed from the first post by Vilas that the mod is making US soldiers, I ask why?. The cold war rearmed US soldiers will be more than adaquet. Then you could spend that time making mid 80s British soldiers...
-
Actually they did serve in WWII but the majority of the serving soldeirs where on the wrong side...spanish serving in WWII Nice looking AAV7 you guys have there. I'll be happy with any one of thoses models...

It does look sweet, but i just hope it lasts a bit longer than the BIS hummers. There death traps and in the hands of the AI there pretty crap.

I'm keeping a close watch on this thread, but i don't see the point in posting unless i've anything usefull to say.

Stupid question. I've installed 1.14 but i cant locate the desert marines or the woodland soldiers. What the differance between southern sahrani and the sahrani light from the demo. Go easy on me as i'm having a dumb day... EDIT. Fixed. I originally downloaded the patch from Armed assault.info but when i redownloaded the patch from a different mirror, after installing i have now got the marines and woodland BDU.

Erm, maybe that's because you never got around to releasing half of your addons for flashpoint because you never finnished them.. Joking aside though, it is very good news indeed that we will be seeing some much needed British addons in ArmA. On a side note however, your team does seem to be quite secretive with what addons your producing, except for the landrovers which is the only addon we really know anything about. Would it be presumpsious of me to ask for a list or atleast some teaser screenshots, pretty please...

Couple of questions, Do they work with patch 1.12 beta. Are they compatible with six senses tracers. In the editor menu i'm not getting any empty/ofrp objects names, it's just blank.

Ahhh watch out for that huge head....

Excellent, my all time favorite flashpoint units are now in ArmA. Unfortunatly i can't download them right now but i know they'll be worth that little extra wait..

If i remember correctly this is the problem. On Jerry Hoppers Sahrani radio interview with Suma i'm sure Suma mentioned that there a little tired of the military based game. You can tell this by just looking at the units used in Arma, there seems to be no real commitment with regards to authentic unit designations. Suma even stated that they don't really care that much if an M4 sounds right, as long as it sounds like a rifle. For a game which states "ultimate simulation" there's an awful lot of slap-dash with ArmA. I too shuddered at the sight of those videos, it's deja vous all over again. I for one assumed ArmA would be closer to Game2 than OFP so i was more than a little dissapointed when i bought ArmA, mainly due to the same bugs we had erradicated in flashpoint had returned to haunt us in ArmA. Now this couldn't happen again could it. ArmAII is closing in on us and it's looking very likely that it will be more like ArmA than this holy grail game2. I keep telling myself that ArmAII isn't going to be that much better than ArmA because VBS2 isn't that much better than ArmA. If ArmAII is going to be the mutts nuts then we would see a VBS3 first, cynical yes, but understandable from where i'm sitting. I'm still a fan because i've just bought QG

Finnish Defence Forces Mod
mr reality replied to feersum.endjinn's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
But what if you start out as the PK gunner and after expending your ammo you pick up an assault rifle, having the ammo cases would look out of place. Especially if it's an intenese firefight you wouldn't want that extra weight on you.I'm just thinking out loud really so feel free to tell me to shut the hell up... -
I'll give credit were its due and say that Suma does indeed come across as an honest and realistic guy, but...there's nothing in that interview that made me go "I can't wait for ArmAII". If anything i'm beginning to think ArmAII will turn out more like COD4.. In reply to a question regarding the updating of tank/vehicle combat, Suma said a few times about a certain type of gameplay that there aiming for, but i wanted to know what this was. Does it mean more focus on squad combat and less on vehicles. As it stands vehicle combat in ArmA is totally unrealistic so to not develope it any further isn't realy what I wanted to hear. It was atleast good to hear about the tracers but this game will be released in about a year or so, VBS2 was released over 6 months ago. So to hear Sumas' exact words on this question wasn't exactly mouthwatering. It was pretty much expected. When i heard the question regarding continued support i nearly fell of my chair. Were still getting support for ArmA so that it works like it was supposed to. If BIS only released one patch then they wouldn't have a community full stop. This is my understanding atleast. Hearing about the lack of interest in military games didn't suprise me one bit. ArmA is a perfect example of a military game with virtually no realism (with regards to military spec). ArmA was a must buy game after the success of Flashpoint, ArmAII is certainly not. It wasn't all doom and gloom........hold on a minute ...it was..

Superb. Theres a couple of images there that i thought were of real A10s, absofuckinglutly stunning.....

Just looking at thoses pictures of the infantry gives you the impression Turkey has some magnificent landscapes, that's assuming all the pictures were taken in Turkey. There were a few pictures that reminded me of what it was like while serving in the armed forces. It doesn't matter what country or army we serve in because deep down were all the same and it's good to see that. @eagleusa Maybe thoses pictures were taken of turkish soldiers playing the part of OPFOR in an exercise.

So that's why they made Porto island for MP.... . I think even the GRAW engine could handle a larger enviroment than that.
