Germanwings Airbus A320 Crashes in France

I know that investigators are always under a lot of pressure to find answers as soon as possible, but I'm surprised that they would come out and accuse someone of mass murder after only a few days of investigating, that seems like the sort of thing you'd need to be very sure about, having at least spent some time ruling out the alternatives, regardless of how unlikely.

    Leights OPFOR Pack

I think the 57mm problem might be to do with AllinArmA compatibility, as I also get the error when using allinArmA.

  7. Only thing it reminds me of is a Colonial Viper - but then I have been watching a lot of BSG of late it must be said. :p

    ArmA 2 site hacked

So a quick merging of the clues might be an Iranian and/or Chinese Invasion of Lemnos Island - with SBS Captain Miller dropped off by HMS Astute to lead a Guerilla War against the occupying force?

    ArmA 2 site hacked

Surely the Second World War started (the Invasion of Poland anyway) on the 1st of September 1939, not the 1st of August 1939? Also I wonder what relevance these dates have to the hacks - as the importance of them seems to vary, for example the Hague convention and the end of the Chinese Empire are mentioned, yet nothing about the Spanish Civil War (and there are probably more dates that aren't listed.)

    ArmA 2 site hacked

It's interesting how each new 'hack' seems to leave us more confused than we were previously. :p We've got HMS Astute, a Map of Europe with some sort of plan on it, and three YouTube music videos! Be interesting to see if/how each of these seperate clues (and any following ones) key together to reveal the bigger picture...

    ArmA 2 site hacked

Surely it must have something to do with the YouTube videos, as it's too big a coincidence that all three of the codes link to three seperate songs / music videos - especially if you consider that if you even put a YouTube code in with the wrong case on a single letter it will cause an error.

I can imagine some sort of 'Snatch' like episode of little gangs of people going around, all trying to get their hands on this mysterious package. Before 'Zee Germans' get there, of course!
  13. Just a quick screenshot from a mission where a four man British SF Patrol comes across a random DAC generated Takistani Militia group whilst en-route to their target. One of those things that reminds me why I love ArmA II so much. :p (Addons: Tier One Operators, RH M16/M4 Pack)
  14. Looks great! Can't wait. Personally I'd probably pay twice as much as that just for the British Radio Comms, but I'm odd like that. :p As for slight mismatches in equipment etc, I suppose you could look at it in so much as that the ArmA World is a different one than our own, for example the Chernarus conflict has happened, which may have had an impact on Budget decisions and the way certain technology is developed. That's the way I like to look at it anyway. :D
  15. I'm just glad to have a BIS combat sim with a name starting with "Operation: " Just like in ye olde' days. :P
  16. Apologies if this has been brought up before. The first suggestion I'd like to make is that, when the enemy AI surrender (using the current surrender game logic) you should be able to question them about their Troop movements, similar to how you can ask friendlies about targets. The usefulness of questioning however would vary depending on the skill and rank of your prisoners, for example a Veteran Special Forces Major would likely keep quiet, whereas a Lieutenant straight out of training might be more easily persuaded. In certain missions it could even be linked to hidden objectives that you can only learn about from taking prisoners perhaps. (Such as learning about an important convoy.) The other suggestion is that you should be able to heal enemy casualties and take them prisoner once you have healed them, as at the moment it seems if you heal an enemy casualty your AI comrades will wait until you finish healing the enemy, then blow his brains out. (Get the feeling the Geneva Convention might have something to say about that :D ) Which would then lead to the first suggestion about questioning them.
  17. You don't need to sync it to any units/teams, you just place it in the editor and it works for all units, at least it did with that example mission. I haven't had the player's team be forced to surrender yet, although there is a surrender animation keyboard key which plays the surrender animation, not that there'd be much to gain from the player surrendering I suppose. :D
  18. Here's a short video showing what happens when you use the Surrender Game Logic. It seems they try to retreat when they're in trouble anyway, it's just the surrender bit that the logic enables. Just a shame that you can't question prisoners about enemy Troop movements and such, yet. :p
  19. Here's a screenshot of the UAV FLIR when using the UAV Terminal:
  20. Here's my rubbish attempt at a Rally Stage, for some added randomness: The stock ArmA II Cars don't go very fast on gravel roads unfortunately, anyone planning a Rally Car mod? :p
  21. I've also been having this problem with an ATI 3870, it seems to happen more when I'm in built up city areas like Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk or other areas where alot of objects are loaded / loading quickly (like when I'm flying a jet). Card temperatures are between 60 - 70c while in game (Although afew days ago I noticed my fan only ran at 20% speed and was getting to 80 - 90c!, however I have it set at 45% speed now so the temperature is more stable, however the artefacts still show up.) Here's an example: http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/2264/graphicstear.jpg
  22. Here's a little video I put together to show the Artillery Game Logic: Personaly I'm loving ArmA II, it's a true successor to Operation Flashpoint, even if it was released early. :D

ArmA II Photography I - No images over 100kb

These aren't very good pictures, but I thought they might be of interest to those that want to see what the UAV turret looks like: Also some pictures of the MLRS firing as I know some people have wanted to see that: ArmA II v1.01
  24. For me it would be good AI which pretty much goes without saying. Other than that, a realy good dynamic war/campaign like those of the old Sim games like Falcon 4 and Enemy Engaged, where there's always a War going on with the system creating missions for all of the allied / enemy squads, offence, defence, supply, interdiction etc. Granted you'd need the most powerfull computer known to man to run it properly, but a guy can dream.
  25. I think I'm just going to replace the Textures with my own anyway as the Sat pics are abit too low res at ground level, plus I'd have to to make it Summer either way.
