    Mk-82 vs. GBU-38 JDAM

    I always figured the lack of JDAM visibly on the bomb was due to lazy developers, but apparently a Mk-82 can fly to a target dead-on every time. I guess us Harrier pilots are gods who control winds at a very precise level. :p I was wondering about that. The RF hasn't used RPG-18s for some time now.

    I haven't really tested it much yet but I am digging around in the .pbos at the moment and I see there are a lot of sounds not listed by you in here: Abrams, Bradley, FFAR, M9, and FN FAL just to name a few. You've done all these sounds too or are they just placeholders?

    Exactly. Go up to an Airman or Marine (me) and ask if a Mk-82 is a JDAM. We'll say "No, in fact a Mk-82 is a dumb bomb. Once a 500lb bomb is outfitted with a JDAM guidance system it's then called a GBU-38." The G in GBU is Guided, which a Mk82 is not.

    Looking For Decent AI Mod

    What about that old annoying bug where AI gunners would automatically change weapons and you had no control over it. That fixed by now?
  7. Hey there. I'm looking for a mod that enables AI going into buildings automatically for cover, gets rid of that annoying bug where troops stay in "combat mode" for about five minutes, and a mod that decreases time for AI to board vehicles. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Hmmm AI don't seem to take advantage of the rooftops, balconies, or other urban structures. They don't even go inside the houses for cover much. :(

    ERROR: "Addon 'RWS_HK416' requires addon 'acex_main'" What's that about? Alright cool. I need to put this mod higher in the list right? So all I need is the one .rar on the front page right? I don't need some sort of patch or other file not listed? Seems a lot of modders are doing that now. They release their mods at three locations and only update one location, then get mad when you have an issue with an older version. Oh I heard in the Youtube video an A10/GAU8 that sounded really good. Is that in the mod as well?

    Would it be possible to somehow run this mod with J.S.R.S soundmod? I ask because your sounds are so much better but all you've got done so far is some BLUFOR weapons, whereas J.S.R.S. has pretty much every sound reworked. Basically I'd like to run the other soundmod for all sounds you do not currently support.

    JarHead, don't forget to change the A10 engine sounds. That's one of my biggest complaints about your mod. :(

  17. Why does the ACE2 A10 have two timed burst fire modes for the GAU8 cannon? In real life it's a fully automatic weapon system; tap it and short burst, hold for longer.

    So does this attempt to fix the boarding AI taking three hours to board a vehicle? Does it also attempt to fix the AI being stuck in "combat mode" for a prolonged period of time?

    Wait a second, are you folks talking about Bon's mission? I'm running WarFX with JSRS and I can build anything, and get ammo in my vehicles.

    Oh wow hurr totally missed that. Thanks. :) So does this actually fix the annoying issue where AI troops take about three minutes to board a vehicle seven meters away?

  22. So uuh I do not have ACE2. Could somebody walk me through the installation of this mod? It seems different than the standard @modfolders approach.

    So do I need to download and install TS3 to install the most recent version of this mod? Could somebody upload it to a filesharing site if so? My readme says "Last modified: 04.10.2010".

    JarHead you should really add some more bass and volume to the Chinooks featured in the game. I've been in, out, and under one of those big babies in the air and my god they are loud. One flew over my house with a UH-60 escort, pictures and ceramics in my house were literally rattling and shaking. EDIT: Sorry for the double post. I didn't realize I had the previous post.
