    ACE for OA 1.13

    I tried looking up the documentation but couldn't find anything on this issue. I cannot eject from anything with the "eject" option, only when it says "jump out". I've tried using my mouse key shortcut and also manually clicking "eject" from the action menu. No luck. Quite frustrating when you're unable to eject.

    I have no idea if this is ACE related specifically, but what the heck is this? I get it every so often and it impairs movement. The error changes a bit too. Sometimes it will say "overall" like it does in the picture. Sometimes it says Takistani civilian, or whatever.

    EDIT: Now I understand why it's not working. Also there are many other undesirable strange behaviors happening. I opened up my shortcuts target line and realized it reached its character limit before everything is written! Why a target line has a character limit I'll never know, but at least I know what the problem is. Is there a way to get around this shortcoming? I think the reason why it's so long is because it's CO running with the beta patch. Those commands take up a lot of space in the target line, not leaving enough space for all of the mods to fit. I've been using Spirited Machine's ArmA II Launcher to create shortcuts.

    Ah I see thank you for the info. After playing around on my server with ACE it's officially awesome again. We're having a real blast! The only downside I've seen is the incompatibility with WarFX Blastcore. It really is a shame looking at the default BIS effects.

    So every time I spawn in an MP game I have to find an ammo crate with those in it, put it in my inventory, and then go through the menu to put them in? Ear plugs should be 'activated' normally, then have the option to be taken out manually. Anybody I've ever seen puts ear plugs in before they are in a combat zone so they don't have to screw with it later. The effect is greatly exaggerated anyway compared to real life. I've never known anybody to go deaf from firing even an M2 without ear plugs.

    My friend and I want to get back into ACE because... well it's simply awesome! We've just got one question however. Is there a way to tone down or disable the annoying effects of your ears ringing and such? That high squeal noise when you fire a machine gun is much more subtle in real life. In ACE mod it's quite unbearable. It is so bad (and unrealistic) I stopped using ACE just for that reason. If it happened every once in a while it'd be fine, but it happens so often it's unbearable! If a tank fires, a machine gun fires, or anything too loud happens nearby happens.I've fired a KSVK and an M240 with no ear protection. I've only had a little ringing in my ears afterwards so I don't know where your incredibly obnoxious noises came from.

    I don't mean to sound like a complete noob, but what exactly are the differences between GITS Evolution and Hohei Evolution 2 found here? Which one should I host?

    COOP 20 Takistan Force (OA)

    Glad to see it updated to 1.07! I've got a fairly sizable complaint though. Using the ACE version it seems medics, medical tents, ambulances, etc do not work as they used to. When you disable the ACE wounding system it works great, but then you lose the detailed ACE wounding system. Also I seem to be unable to drive any vehicles already existing in the game world. (Civilian Vehicles, UH-60, MTVRs at base for example)

    MCC Sandbox - The Mod

    Six Updater? I thought that was for ACE mod. I use Spirited Machine's ArmA II Launcher for all my mods (JSRS, WarFX, JTD, and hopefully this). Works fine, though there is quite a bit of hassle involved. I don't really know anything about Six Updater.

    MCC Sandbox - The Mod

    I copy the mod folder to the game directory as any other. My addon launcher cannot see the mod because there is no "addons" folder within the mod folder. How do I get this thing to work? I feel pretty dense not figuring this out on my own. Thank you. I know the mission version worked on a locally created server (not dedicated). Does this mod version have the same flexibility?
  14. Is it just me or did other players weapon sounds get muted in the most recent beta patch? I can hear bullet impact etc, but no weapon sounds themselves.

    That would be phenomenal, thank you. Is there any way to implement this ourselves? I'm a pretty patient guy, but it's been a long while since the last release.
  16. I've only got two warfare missions available to me in Operation Arrowhead. I have all ArmA games and all DLC, yet still the BAF Warfare missions will not show up in my missions list for each appropriate map. Here is a picture from the Warfare Manual. Just for clarification, the missing missions are Crimson Lance and Operation Serpent. If you need, I can provide a screenshot of my available MP missions to show the lack of the BAF CTI Warfare missions. Thank you for any and all assistance with this matter.
  17. How do I verify I'm running the fully patched game to 1.60 and not the RC 1.60 which I used previously?
  18. When I logged into Steam today it downloaded an update to BAF, but that's it. Could it be because I'm running the RC for 1.60?

    I guess with ArmA III we won't have "authentic" sound mods since everything will be futuristic. Of course you can still mod higher quality sounds in. I think this will make choosing the "best" sound mod quite difficult.

    JTD improved grenade effect

    Does this affect all grenades such as vehicle mounted automatic grenade launchers and thrown hand grenades? Also is this compatible with WarFX? (I know you hate these questions but I gotta ask)

    JTD Fire And Smoke

    Is there a way to get rid of the smoke after the emitter is gone? For example I blow up a tank in multiplayer then after x minutes the wreck disappears. The fire or smoke is still billowing up from where the wreck used to be even though there is no longer a wreck present.
  23. A friend of mine is trying to join my server. He can download the mission file just fine, but hangs when receiving mission data. What is wrong here? None of my other buddies have this problem.

    It seems to only be occurring after I've updated to 1.60 RC. When I was on 1.59 it was fine. He said he updated the game right, but I'm not so sure.
