  1. My post crossed yours. Cannot/did not see it in the list because you have put it in the wrong project. You want A.C.E. 2 project.

    Arma 2 Linux server performance

There were 30'ish players on at the time on co@54 ACE W Nightstrike 1.09. Yeah the #2 core is more loaded but most of the time 0-3 cores are evenly spread.

    Arma 2 Linux server performance

Ours looks quite different to yours Whisper. We messed around with affinity when ArmA2 first came out and we found no difference in performance in real terms. We leave ours on default (no affinity) and it spreads load across all 4 cores quite effectively. For info:
  5. Just seen this. Yes I experienced the same issue after I'd picked up 3 chemsticks and put 2 in my backpack. The remaining chemstick in my inventory would not select with 'F'. What I did to be able to use it again was drop it and then pick it up again then I could select it with 'F'.

If you have specifiled a folder using the '-profiles' switch in your server startup line then it will be in that folder.

    Time Stamp in .log files

I'm afraid there is no support for that functionality at the moment.

ArmA II Dedicated server + addons help

You need to place your "defaultArma2.cfg" & "defaultserver.cfg" files into "ArmA2\default" folder as this folder is now defined as the folder where your cfg & profile files reside with those parameters.
  12. I have setup an RSS feed to give out information regarding our Yoma Addon Sync 2009 repository status and the YAS ACE beta revision number to the community. Our ACE gameserver runs the same revision. Kellys Heroes RSS Feed | kellys @ Feedburner If there are any problems please goto our thread
  13. Yes, thank you Sickboy and the ACE team it's a fantastic mod!. KH will continue to support you and your team as much as we can. Our YAS server has distributed 1.3 TB's of data to the community so far!. Keep up the good work :) The server that you are connecting to has signature checking enabled and does not have the ACE beta keys installed therefore it is blocking clients connecting with the ACE beta mod.

  15. Yes, yes I don't need a lesson on all that I've been administering server's for 15 years. All I am asking for is for some kind of advance warning of updates or at least a daily release time so someone qualified in KH can grab the new server files and update the server etc etc. Respect.
  16. Our server actually has OpenSSH and Rsync services running and offered up to the six-updater mirror list that's not the issue it's as Crawler says, "the problem with updating daily is -> not all servers managed 24/7 as updating requires a procedure of stopping the server and running the updater." At least with the ArmA2 beta's they are backwards compatible to 1.04
  17. yeah what the hell may as well... standby your beds
  18. Can i push you for a designated time window for an update release? at least that way we will get a head up when it's gonna happen ;)
  19. Sickboy, The issue is not whether to use six-updater (I support it although there are issues in windows 7) it's the fact that if there are many updates per day as is perhaps the intention with six-updater then server admins just cannot keep up... Perhaps you could post whether an update is a milestone and we could just update servers to the milestones thus cutting down on said leg work.
  20. I'm aware. Please read my post We will only be updating our server and YAS when our server is not full (or at least has more than 5-10 players) AND there is an qualified KH admin around to do it. It is impractical and very time consuming (unless someone wants to pay me to sit here 24/7 monitoring for updates)
  21. Sickboy, I fully understand the reason for the six update process but we cannot keep up with the update process as it stands now. We don't know when these updates will happen and as so any servers running will not accept players with an updated client. This evening is a case in point. The first update we heard about, we updated our server then our YAS, as process that takes quiet a lot of time (and we have been working with yoma to speed up the process a little)... then a second update appeared as soon as we'd addressed that one. Thus we have a situation where only client's who have sync'd to our YAS can now connect to our server. This issue is going to affect all server admins. Whilst it is not my place to question the necessity of updates so close together, I wonder if you might consider only releasing one update a day at a designated time? I know this may not be practical for you but I see the community multiplayer ACE beta testing becoming impossible to keep in step with.
