I don't advertise Yoma, i use what works best for me. I did add a ticket a few weeks back, other than you RDC'ing into my computer and seeing for yourself it's not gonna go anywhere. -

Whilst I don't want to get into an argument about which updater is the best I do find your attitude rather blinkered. Not everyone can use your updater, I'm a software developer such as yourself and six-updater still refuses to work on my windows 7 platform. I totally support all the hard work you and the rest of the ACE team have done and that's why we run the YAS service but I do get rather annoyed with your constant 'use my software' argument. I'm sorry if this comes across badly for you but my opinion is shared by 3000 other users. -

create a folder called 'ACE' in 'userconfig' and copy the four files to it. -

Hi Norrin, thanks for the reply. Yeah if I look into the mission.sqm I see that ace wounds is active in the addOns[] but I've not dropped the ACE wounding module in the mission. I have attached the mission. What is odd is that I seem to be the only person with this issue, other player who have connected to the mission are fine. I'm running ACE 2 and only ace no other mods and 1.05. I can replicate this 100% of the time. If I run Vicious Villains 1.8 all works fine. It seems to point to a script issue but why does it affect just me?. Vanilla 1.05 + the latest ACE2, no addons. I can make a video if required. It would be really nice to find out what the problem is. I've hit a brick wall. .Chernarus.rar"]Download mission I'm downloading ACE2 again in case I have a corrupt file.

If I drop my gear peeps can see it, I can pick my gear backup but no one elses. I am invisible, invulnerable and cannot enter vehicles. I am running no other mods apart from ACE2

I'm using this new revive version on ACE2 and 1.05 and when I respawn I am invisible, invulnerable and cannot enter vehicles.

Two suggestions (but may not be the issue). Put @cba before @ace and @acex You name two -name= and -config= in your startup line.

You need to have a look in the server's .rpt file for a proper indication of the error. -

Please could an ACE developer explain the following line in the ACE_CARTRIDGES class definition. I'm not seeing the brass (enabled & fps above 15). max_distance = 0; // COMMENT: max. distance until cartridges become deleted by FIFO What does the distance unit represent? -

Yes we had an issue where I ran our updater script @ 18:12 and not all the updated files had replicated to the six updater mirrors. This resulted in our server and our YAS not being updated fully when we assumed it had. We have since re-run our update scripts and we have resynced to 189 fully. To update your client ACE YAS just run YAS again. -

As has been said the default server settings can be changed by the current admin to veteran whenever required. So whats the big deal?. Seems like this thread is going off at all tangents... @Blechreiz. Relating to your modified first post, fyi our public server's default setting is recruit not cadet.

We are running the ArmA2 beta server and what you describe happened on our server yesterday. -
Thats a separate mod in the addon pack, object draw distance not to be confused with view distance.

IMHO Public servers by nature need to be as accessible as possible and that generally means that 'noob' players should not be too heavily penalised for their lack of knowledge of the game. You might argue that anyone playing ACE might already possess the right level of skills to always play in veteran mode but this cannot be assumed. Just because the server default is in recruit mode by default does not mean that it's still not possible to start a veteran game if required and can be set by the currently logged admin. ---------- Post added at 04:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:53 PM ---------- If you download our Addon Pack you will find a mod to do just that at anytime during the game. We don't play PVP so we allow it on our server. Download it from our website and try it.
