  1. New update ! Â I am really curious about the AAV P7A1 and the BMP-3 In some circumstances, it is normal that tanks slide down hills. They are heavy machines so the ground beneath may collapse.

    - Laser rangefinders and ballistic fire-control computer for attack helicopters, infantry fighting vehicles and tanks It has already been done for VBS2 so it can't be an impossible task to put this into Arma II. It would be disappointing if we had to aim manually with modern weapon systems in Arma II. Â

    Fluid Stance(Better cover system)

    Welcome to Hell's controls seems better, at least to me  . With his controls, you can adjust your body position and aim/shoot at the same time. Keyboard for the body and mouse for aiming, it seems more "natural" and efficient... With your controls, either you adjust your stance, either you aim and shoot. Therefore you need a good coordination (and it is something hard to have when you get shot at ) and sometimes the mouse inputs needed to adjust your stance could be opposite to the mouse inputs required to aim at your target (could be confusing! ! I also think it would add too much mouse moves into the game. I doubt the fluid stance will make it into Arma II, maybe a mod could add it later, or an expansion for AA2 by BIS.

    Voted Yes. I don't think BIS, or any company, will have the time and dedication to give a truly competitive, human-like AI. This is a job for the community Â

    Agreed, good suggestion. And I like your idea for the controls. It would be perfect for urban firefights. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be implemented into ARMA 2 (I would like BIS to prove me wrong though ) +1, this should be improved too

    Modern Combat - SLX Mod version 1.1

    Hi all! Can anybody tell me if the javelin works correctly in version 1.1 ? Or, better, can anybody tell me how to use the javelin ? Even when I lock the target (T-90, for example), the missile will consistently miss the target and hit the dirt on the target's left (direct attack or top attack makes no difference). Same thing with the friendly AI, their missile always miss their target. Right now, I am still playing v1.02 but I will upgrade when I have some time. Aside from this small problem, I think it's a great mod, thanks Big-Rooney.

    Nature addon -released-

    Good work ! But is it possible to incorporate those sounds with Highres islands. IMO its a shame to use such good sounds with the low resolution trees and bush from the defaults BIS islands. I tried to unpbo the nature pack, deleted the nat_islands and replaced them with the islands i wanted (cain, abel,eden) Modified the "config.cpp" by deleting all the references to 'nat_' then i created a new "nature.pbo" which i placed in my addon folder, but OFP wouldn't launch and gave me the message :"nature\config.cpp/cfg.worlds.eden:member alredy defined" I will make some more tries to put those those highres sounds with my highres islands, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    AI Movement command system???

    00 : is the heading read on your compass (G key) and 35 : is 350 meter the distance to walk. if i am wrong on the distance, someone will correct me

    Y2K3 Version 7.3

    I have been testing this mod since yesterday and i really like it . My only problem is why the AI (machine gunners and RPGs) won't engage enemy combat helicopter such as Cobra and Apache ? I have 'designed' a mission which i play with FFUR mod or Y2K3 mod : played under FFUR, the enemy infantry will fight back at me firing everything they have (i have been downed by small arms fire numerous time when i was too cocky...); but played under Y2k3, the enemy infantry will not fight back. It will fight against helicopters such as Blackhawk be not against Cobra and Apache... Is there a way too change that ?

    Thanks very much, i played a bit with it and this is some nicely scripted stuff. Too bad it seems that it can't be incorporated in the default missions and campaigns.

    Yes there is a way, Custom Formations from General Barron It looks like a very good script but the readme doesn't say how to install the files. And then how to call the script while you are playing the mission. Anyone can help?

    This is due to the High reso Islands packs, if you read its readme , you'd notice that the AI don't drive correctly in these islands. When i had this problem, i removed the Hires islands from my install and I reinstalled BIS old ones. The problem was still here, that's why i think it could be related to the 1985 woodland pack only. When i will have more time i will reinstall this pack and test again the 3rd mission and see if I still notice the problem. Also, i noticed that the lag has been reduced tremandously, thanks for that.

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

    I am currently enjoying the winter pack which gives a very nice and unusual look to OFP. Unfortunately, i have a bug with US and Russian parachute whenever I or the AI want to eject from a plane/chopper. The parachute unit is invisible and i float in the sky like air. OFP gives me the message : "error loading otw_haloru/ffur_halopara.p3d (magic)" for russian units or "error loading otw_halo/ffur_halopara.p3d (magic)" for american units. What can i do to correct this error : redownload winter pack ? reinstall ? changing file ? Thanks for any help. ps: also with the 1985 woodland, for some reasons, the 3rd single mission doesn't work anymore : the convoy wich must be destroyed with satchel charges doesn't depart correctly from the town.

    FFUR Incoming HUGE RELEASE !!!

    Yay cool, the releases are very close But take your time to test the installer(s) plz, the installer for FFUR woodland (downloaded from filefront) didn't work correctly for me last time : if i chose anything but "Powerful configuration" (so strictly the 1st download option) the install wouldn't be done correctly and FFUR would give me some missing file on startup. So in order to launch FFUR without "surrendering script" and "talking" and without missing files, i had to swap some files in OFP folder after completing the FULL install. Anyway keep up the good work

I just want to make sure that you are fully aware of the reciprocity of those feelings you described. The world is not a one-way street. Moreover, your previous post about the live bait was stupid. Did france lost international respect in the last years, mmmh probably but not much (and do we care about the 'respect' YOU could have for our country...guess the answer). On the contrary, the US and British government did lost their share of respect for reasons that i won't go into. Also, the use of live bait is already banned but guess what : some locals on Reunion islands don't care because they consider animals as objects and not as pet. Moreover French associations for the defense of the animals didn't wait for their english counterparts to raise this problem, ask stronger laws to the government and start petitions : They are the associations who denounced this shocking practice which most French people were not aware of/ or believed it belong to the past.
