  1. @ mark82101

Make sure all files mentioned in all .hpp or the description.ext files with a line like "#include "bla.hpp" are present.

If you don't need them, scrap the files AND delete the corresponding lines in the .hpp/.ext.

    Good luck!

    @ cuppa

Make sure you spell "SERGENT" correctly. Then it should be followed by your ingame name. Hope it'll work, let me know if it doesn't.

    Bye for now,

    Igor.

  2. Hi Mark -

Unpbo Black Sword and take a look at the AAHALO folder:  you'll see that mouseTracker.hpp and FreeFall.sqf have been modified by me (the changes have been commented). Use them if you want the minimap.

All credits must go to ManDay, he's the one who created this fantastic set of scripts.

    Take care,

    Igor.

  3. The source http://www.rferl.org/ can not call itself "independent" or "private". That's a ridiculous statement.

Let me state it clearly: the only thing www.rferl.org has got to do with the article is:

    1) to have translated it;

    2) to have selected it for publishing in this ocean of information we all drown in.

    The original link is here.

For your theory to be true, you need to prove that Yezhednevny Zhurnal is financed by the US Congress, and that Yulia Latynina, or her editors, are American stooges. I'm not saying it's not the case, but the burden of proof is on your shoulders.

In the meantime, I'll just sit back and read one of her other leaders, and take it for what it claims to be, i.e. a Russian, anti-Putin voice.

  4. @ Baddo

Interesting, though somewhat misleading, research. Just so we get the right bias clear (we're all grown-up to understand that everything is biased):

Yulia Latynina writes for Yezhednevny zhurnal and Novaya Gazeta, which are newspapers close to Kasparov's party, The Other Russia.

Her article has been quoted and translated by a website financed by the US Congress (I'll take your word for it, Baddo, I haven't checked).

I thought it was interesting to mention that point of view - but let's take it for what it is, shall we?

  5. Scubaman, I sympathise - but it's people like you who make this board an interesting read. Thanks for sharing your views and your experience.

For a less West-centered, less geopolitical, less apolcalyptical, yet uncomplacent, approach of the conflict, Yulia Latynina's analysis may be of some interest. Let's hope she won't follow Politkovskaya...

  6. Hey there -

Version 2.0's out with two minor changes/fixes, please see the first post for the D/L linkie.

    From the read me:

    Quote[/b] ]CHANGE LOG

    ----------

    Version 2.0

    * (NEW) Players no longer considered friendlies by the AI after boarding a UAZ;

    * (FIXED) Patrol countdowns no longer randomly go off for no reason (it used to happen occasionally)

    Bye for now,

    Igor.

  7. Kudos for the EU...

Nice try, but that doesn't count.    There a limit on the number of athletes per country that can participate! If the EU were to participate as a single entity, they are limited to 196, instead of the thousands that could have competed for the "EU".

Ah, thanks for pointing it out. Another dream down the gutter  biggrin_o.gif! I'd love to see the EU compete as one, though smile_o.gif.

  8. Hi RSV_Ecosse -

Thanks for your interest. I'm going to try to help you, but it's been a while, so I may not be that helpful...

    ***Spoilers***

You do need to find an officer (as in, a guy with a cap and no primary weapon). There are several dispatched on the map. Kill one and search his body.

As to the LD, you only need one battery. Turn it on, an action should appear ("use laptop" or something along those lines).

    ***End of spoilers***

    I hope it helps!

    Take care,

    Igor.

  9. Stalin is definitely no criminal. He was one of the most successful politicians of the last century. People loved him and a majority of the Russian people still do. In the west you learn something completely different about him. Open your eyes instead of repeating hollywood bullshit. And it's quite evident why I don't like Hitler. Or do you really think there's no difference between them?

This is as serious in my eyes as Holocaust denial. It sends chills down my spine to think of the sort of people this person claims to be the spokesperson for. Red Khmers maybe?

On how stalinism and nazism are two forms of one same régime, totalitarianism, the similarities in structures and methods decribed in Hannah Arendt's The Origins of Totalitarianism are baffling.

Of course, this, like the work of renowned historians and philosophers, will likely be dismissed as "Hollywood bullshit". Well, they're pretty high, the standards in Hollywood, these days...

  10. Thanks for your interest gentlemen. The mission has a learning curve, so feel free to ask me any questions about it (I'm thinking about the complex alarm system, which adds yet other time-critical objectives).

Spooner, I'm very flattered: I love your work mate, it's probably the most underrated of this community.

  11. I've never seen Germany give it all up like that. Bit of a myth falling to pieces for me.

I for one will blame it all on Ballack. His piss-poor performance, combined to his repeated fouls and his bad mood, seem to have shattered the team's morale (in no way a responsible behaviour for a captain. His injury should be no excuse, it's a bloody final of the Euro! ) - except maybe for Schweinsteiger, the only one I saw actually fighting and trying to cheer everybody up. Put him captain of the team, you won't regret it.

Spain played marvellously, and well deserve the cup. I was absolutely stunned by Sergio Ramos's performance throughout the competition. The bugger was absolutely everywhere on the field.

    My two pence,

    Igor.

  12. For serious alternative music live performances of ALL trends (from hardcore rock to free jazz and ambient electro), I'll recommand the Dour Festival.

Hype-free cutting-edge sound for four days and a very cheap price. I will go there again this year for the fifth time, I am an addict  inlove.gif .

  13. I for one stand at the MoD's disposal, should they need information on recent alien whereabouts.

I was myself abducted about 6 years ago by the well-known Mehobian Toudis (thought to have a base in Eastern Europe ), and have been force-fed pizzas and indigestible lines of code ever since.

  14. Hello Doppelganger -

You need to lay beacons to mark the D-Z. The number of beacons to lay (using your action "Lay Beacon") depends on the number of players smile_o.gif. Once enough beacons have been laid, the radio will be available.

I'm really glad you liked Black Sword. I dare hope Bleeding Skies will live up to your expectations!

    Regards,

    Igor.
