RedKite: flying is much better (less arcadish) in ARMA, believe me snakebyte85: try putting the "deadzone" slider to the left in Options, that helped us.

Slovenian Peacekeepers: Operation Sahrani Current release: v0.9 (sneak peak) Story Island republic of Sahrani is destabilized in means of military and security after the major conflict, therefor they requested a help from other world. Slovenian Army is joining the other armies by sending their own squad, that will help make peace in Sahrani.... but its soon clear that mission will not be an easy one. Commander and his soldiers will in the upcoming months try to make people of Sahrani safe by doing different peace-keeping tasks. They set-up Camp Triglav, HQ in the Town of Estrella - in once abandoned villa, from where this team operates. Reinforcments come via airsupply on the main airport on the weekly basis. Main tasks of Slovenian Army: - recon, dealing with crisis situations like kindappings, accidents, terrorist acts; humanitarian actions like supllying food to ppl; convoy protection, helping resolve disputes between civilians; transfering equipment from airport and drop-off points to the Camp Triglav, raids on terrorist/smugglers/drug dealer hideouts, etc. Goal For internal SBP team training and other clans(squads) - to train soldiers(aka players) in intense and diverse combat and non-combat situations. Tool for C/Os and X/Os that train their members and see how individual member react in these situations where nerves, mental concentration and CQB/tactics knowledge is required. And not to forget - quick and smart response. Higher ranking members can act like civilians and see the whole mission in live, or even make it more complicated if that is required/ordered . Each mission is unique every time because of high random settings, therefor n00bs cannot learn it the easy way. We must update our dedicated server with ArmA and all SPOS missions will be in the playlist 24/7.

As I've said before: our SBP squad played around 4 hours on Thursday (we all have Czech version patched to English) and we didn't see any major bugs(!, we had *no* lag, even during bigger missions! Of course there are some glitches, shooting grenades with a boat is also strange and we drove a small boat for ~100 meters on the ground (uphill!, but that are funny bugs and we can live with them til the patch everything else feels great and AI can sometimes be very effective... and they even counter-attack.

We've played CTF on Thursday and we've enjoyed it... a lot. Of course, we had to hide a couple of minutes from Abrams that blew our T72s to the pieces, but we soon regained the area and stole 2 flags before the timer hit zero. Too bad that I've locked the server, because couple of guys disconnected and nobody couldn't join us after that. I dunno what would the dissapointment be, but we loved CTF as much as the new Hunting mode, not to mention teamdm & coop that really make this game much better than anything there's out there now.

EiZei: don't forget to put bin.pbo into Dta folder, not Addons. Language.pbo goes into Addon. Everything works great that way.

Yesterday we had our very first squadnight (SBP team) and i'm impressed that ArmA is almost bugless (well, major ones), pings around 30ms with no slowdown even with many units on the field... Shots from this squadnight will be available on www.arma.si when we release the website. We've been testing my mission pack - Slovenian Peacekeepers: Operation Sahrani (aka SPOS). It will be released to the public in a week or so.

Same as in OFP, sometimes you manage to land the chopper on "the head" and exit while the rotors slowly stop... couldn't this bug be eliminated in all this testing phase?

I'm getting my copy directly in Czech on Monday, along with team buddies so we can prepare missions for the rest of the guys in December Most of other team members will buy German version (Mediamarkt, 30.11., 45€) that has no starforce (hopefully). Placebo: we get different reports about serial keys. Some of publishers say you can use the czech key on english/german version, others (like Jiri) state that keys are localized, too. What is the truth? I'll probably buy german+english if I'll have problems with Czech version.
