I find these two paragraphs kind of contradict each other with the whole it's our franchise and idea but if you want flashpoint go to the original developers. I don't think the flashpoint is proud to have PR people like Sion. That whole article was painful to read. The graphics aren't bad but watch shit hit the fan when people play the real thing.

I like steam for just about every game I own on it but I do not have ArmA2 on steam because of all the workarounds and gbs of data you have to download in order for a simple few hundred mb patch. If ArmA2 is more steam friendly with mods, updates, and maybe steamworks, I think I'll be more likely to get it off there. As for now I'll stay with my dvds for pretty much just ArmA.

I really wish you could use the leaf sight like in infiltration for UT99. It made sense and worked. I can barely aim the leaf sight in ArmA2 because I have to aim it at a 45 degree angle and have to make adjustments based on which cloud I'm aiming at.

So I was playing the PMC campaign with a buddy. I was host with the AS50 and he was Asano with the TWS xm8. At the beginning, we swapped weapons so he could shoot engine blocks while I spotted. We screwed up at one point (couldn't tell where the engine block of the T34 was due to HDR screwing around with flir) and reloaded. My buddy and I both spawn with TWS xm8s... with no AS50 in sight to kill tanks. What can I do? I tried Shift+numpad - Endmission but it just goes to the mission select screen and doesn't go to the next mission. Do we really need to spend another hour killing tanks again?

So anyone having issues downloading from Sprocket? I'm from the US and the US mirror is netting me about 2-5kb/sec. I can't connect to the EU mirror and the CZ mirror is getting me the best speeds at 15kb/sec... But yeah, I feel a bit misled since the BAF campaign wasn't included for free and this dlc's campaign was free (lower quality I guess but still).

So I've been trying this out with some 5.1 speakers and the output of voices seems to be muffled and always projecting through the center front speaker. It is not nearly as clear as headphones. Surround sound is definitely working for ArmA2 sounds but the rear speaker sounds are weak in comparison to other games where the sound is working fine. Any ideas?

this looks promising. I dislike vanilla arma2's collision system. Does this mod do collision for when you have your rifle up? Infiltration (ut 99 mod) had this where you'd never collide with the environment when hipped but would collide if you had your weapon aimed.

I played ArmA2 with a Clevo M860tu. It ran alright but I had to make many many tweaks and turn settings down to off or normal. The mission and island also made a huge difference on performance. But yeah that laptop barely works now due to being too hot (ran at ~80-90C before I realized the heatsink was clogged up by dust. I now have a desktop that runs ArmA2 pretty well now.

Yeah I got it working but it keeps losing and finding the tracking and I have a light directly in my face a little to the right. I don't know what to do to maintain the track. I figured out the flickering issue which was due to having low exposure so that I would have 30fps.

Alright going to try this out. neato it worked. Now I gotta get this thing to find my face and track it :). Well my camera likes to flash a lot. I have a vx-3000 and the exposure is going nuts trying to find my face. It finds it occasionally but it keeps changing the exposure nonstop. :/ nvm it works now.

I uninstalled everything and installed the demo, api, and facetracknoir 1.3 with the patch. Same error. :/

I had this working in an earlier version and I thought I'd give it another go on my new computer. The thing is, it won't work. I'm getting a "No DLLs were found in the Waterfall Procedure" and then a press ok to terminate prompt. I installed using the full 1.3 installation and installed the IP5.4.3 thing and this problem keeps coming up. I also installed the faceapi thing. I'm also running windows 7 64-bit. What should I do?

So I was going to buy the dlc and I noticed that sprocket has the price at 12.67 USD while everywhere else has it at 9.99 USD. Is this correct? The euro conversion on the sprocket site is 11.44 USD. If this is the case, can I get it from another service even though I only have the retail cd version? I know I can't get it from steam.

This just happened to me. I ran out of ammo and there were a few men lingering around here and there. I guess some of the T55s were just damaged and not completely destroyed but the crew bailed so... I guess I will cheat to end the mission. I think there should be some sort of trigger where the mission ends based on force strength but I guess that's hard to make.

So do you guys still play ArmA coop? Today is the first chance I've been able to play since I don't have work (you guys play at 11am my time).
