  1. Will do. Seems weird that the same server can fire up the other Alive default mission on Stratis no issues. I'll look into it, thanks!
  2. Has anyone had issues getting the Apex Getting Started mission to run with TADST? It works fine if I start it in SP, and I tried the Stratis default Alive mission on TADST and it worked too, but whenever I try to run the Tanoa version my client Arma locks up on the loading screen after selecting a role... Any ideas?

I'll give the new version a try tonight, thanks Heroes!
  4. This sounds awesome, thanks very much guys! I'm especially excited to mess around with the Logistics update; thanks friznit! Also, having profiled units take damage is a great idea... that'll add to the immersion big time.

Well now that I know I can get a local server running with TADST I'd sure be interested in trying out some new missions!

Missed this post earlier, but thanks for the clarification spyder. It's certainly not a huge deal, and it's good to know I'm not doing something wrong with regards to that feature. Yes, I've been getting it too (not sure if it's been since the CUP update, but that seems likely) but it hasn't caused any crashes or other issues for me. Quick question: when requesting reinforcements through the Logistics menu, there are options for vehicles and such, but none of the UK vehicles are available. Is it possible to allow ALIVE to recognize them? Other than that, things are working pretty darn good. I try to get a couple hours of play each night (assuming my kids go to bed on time :P ) and have a great time!

The night-time combat felt believable - the insurgents had trouble spotting my troops until they opened fire outside of town. Inside town they got the drop on me once (due to streetlights I assume). Another thing to consider that the time of the mission takes place when the moon is not visible (could have been cloudy, I can't recall) so it was BLACK. I'm assuming when the moon is out the insurgents have a bit more luck. One gamey trick is to use the Action command on your teammates, scroll through to the end, and see if there's a 'Read Intel' option. That way your AI can find the intel off the bodies for you. But, again, it's kind of cheap so use it at your own discretion (or to see what you're looking for) Last time I checked there wasn't an option to Reinforce or Garisson or anything. I've seen it on other missions though

Still having a blast with your mission! Set a goal of pushing into a larger town via one of the smaller FOBs in the east. Packed up a reinforced squad into two vehicles (one Jackal, one MRAP) and cautiously drove on. Made it through several small hamlets without incident, spreading goodwill the entire way no doubt, until I reached the target village. Set up some observation, but didn't see much movement other than civilians, so I decided to drive on in. Of course, that meant driving right into a roadblock and small ambush set in the middle of town (hidden from my observation point!) Thankfully, it was night, and I figure that's what gave my guys the advantage they needed to open up on the enemy's HMGs before they could do much damage to my Jackal. After dismounting most of the squad, leaving a couple on overwatch with the big guns, I cautiously searched the buildings around the roadblock. After a panicked exchange of fire at point-blank range with a surprised Taliban sniper, we discovered a small IED bomb-making factory! Two sticks of explosive charge later, and the IED building was no more! I requested some reinforcements to garrison the town, and packed up my own squad to RTB. Just as the helicopters touched down, a hail of gunfire from the trees outside of town peppered the helos. Apparently the enemy mustered some reinforcements as well! Unfortunately for them, the NVG advantage paid off again, and the fresh squad of troops were more than happy to return fire, driving off the enemy forces. I finished my session by ordering the new unit to move to the liberated town, while my guys headed back to the FOB to refit. Not a bad night! One question I had, isn't there a way to order reinforcements to garrison an objective? I didn't see an option when calling them in, so I simply used the Operations menu to set their waypoint on the town. But that probably won't stop the OPCOM from moving them out later, right?

I haven't had much luck with this, mainly the Join Group feature... If I click the button, sometimes it teleports me to the right position for a minute, then teleports me back to base. Sometimes it says "Joining Group Echo 2-1" but that usually means I get stuck with a headbug and am forced to disconnect to fix it... Joining the squad through the Personnel menu works okay, but it won't let me take control of the group for longer than 30 seconds before 'demoting' me back to last place haha. Maybe the soldiers don't appreciate a strange Private showing up and usurping command :) These may not be tied to this mission, however. Could be just an ALIVE bug on my end that happens on any map.

Hah, it works! Awesome fun, even in SP! Just played for a quick session, scouted and cleared a small village, scared off some enemy reinforcements with my vehicle-mounted MGs, and just as I get the 'area clear' from my AI troop the call the prayer starts. Like something out of a movie :) Thanks, HeroesandvillainsOS!

Thanks for the reply! The 'auto-included' just means that the launcher automatically detected the new mod from my 'watched folder' and included it in the list. Doesn't indicate any dependencies for the mod... I definitely am using the foxhound version you uploaded, but I'll try to direct download the CUP Terrains. Hopefully that'll fix it; I'll let you know either way.

Alrighty, here's a screenshot of my Arma mod list. I did update the 3CB Vehicles, although it still says version 4 for some reason. http://imgur.com/6pNATIc

Is there any easy way to tell what addons I have that are missing/corrupt that wouldn't allow this mission to load? I'm not having any luck :(
