  1. Description: This is a crCTI Mod, with german, russian & american addons of the community. I think pictures say more than 1000 words, so check the pictures and you will see which addons i took for the game. This Mods comes with own configs addons which brings all addons togehter for a better balance, and give the game a better performance. And after all, some sounds and "gimmicks" were realized by the "dvd_config" & "dvd_us_config" addon. No original addon was modified, all mod. were made in the configs. Installation: Extract the files from the archives into your Operation Flashpoint: Resistance â„¢ Addons folder or (better) a mod folder of your choice and the missions in your MPMissions folder. I would create a extra mod folder for the needed islands (IslandPack v2 + OFland + Anilym ver3). All needed downloads here

    crCTI 1.0 @DVD

    the old school crCTI Mod v1.1 Description: This is crCTI with improved units. Based on the latest crCTI 1.0 @ArmA 0.57. This Mod comes with an own config addon for a better balance. Also over 90% of all sounds were replaced, new units and some new "gimmicks" realized. No original addon was modified, all mod. were made in the configs. As 3rd party addons, @DVD 1.1 includes: Marpat Marines by HePCaT, Everon 0.5 beta by Sgt.Ace, Mapfact South Sahrani by Lester, FIA Troops 1.2 by Rellikki & beta M72 LAW by Indy. AT weapons, the infantry won't fire on enemy inf. with AT136/RPG7 - M136 and RPG7 fire looks better, also the Ai wont fire over 250m, - removed the recoil of MK19 and AGS30, so they shot correctly now, - created FIA vehicles (T72, BMP 2 & UAZG), - and use the Resistance Troops 1.1 reskin by Rellikki, as FIA, - created camoflaged buildings & static defence, - replaced ACU Army soldier to Marpat Marines, reskin by HePCaT, - removed some dust FX or reduced some, - added GPS for Officers and Squadleader (the player units in crCTI) - removed all original weapon transport, in all vehicles but ... - ** ... added bigger cargospace for magazines and weapons, to avoid the "ammo bug" - MGuns >= DShKM / M2 Browning aim and fire on helicopters, so they can be used as AA Guns now - removed the FFAR for Helicopter and Planes, - added 1500rnd instead of 300 to Harrier GAU12, - the SU34 got 8AT rockets now, - both sides got the RHIB as boat (west and east version) - US troops got M68 handgrante instead of the timed M67, because the AI can't handle the timed HG well. ** = outdated by ArmA patches (v1.08) about the coop option: If "Easy Coop" is selected, there are just a few resistance troops, and the AI opponent side, got only double startmoney as the player side. If "Hard Coop" is selected, there are a lot resistance troops, and the AI opponent side, got 200 times startmoney as the player side. If both sides are with player, and "Hard Coop" is selected, each player side got normal startmoney, but way more resistance are in the game. Its allmost like a "3 sides CTI". Bugfix in v1.1: - missing vehiclescanner for BI tanks in v0.52, This bug was a result of ArmA patches. Known issues & Comments: - JIP dont work correctly, so it is off. JIP is W.I.P., no ETA yet, (but master Cleanrock may got a solution already .. ) - AI needs performance, if the server frames drop under 20 fps, the AI will stop, they don't move. - Javalin is not in, it would take away the challenge to kill a tank.   4. I didn't brother reading all here, because this topic was counteracted from the start by bigoted people who never played the great PvP maps for years in OFP. Just wanna say, if ArmA II has the same stiff animations, movement and aiming, the PvP part of the game will fail again. And it has noting to do with the quality of maps. The problem is the controles and the aim. OFP is still the reference here.
  5. I saw a few previews of ArmA2 now, and all got a green HUD. Hornestly it looks nasty. Please change if to good old OFP grey or add a option to change the colour of the HUD. compare picture @Mods: Plz remove the "The" of this topic title, i was a bit to fast ...
  6. The last 2 days, the serverbrowser didn't worked. Today it shows 6-8 servers, but thats just may 10-20% off all. Can BIS contact Gamespy to fix that problem?

  8. @colossus For me those pistols look more like a M9 baretta & QSZ-92, and for me the SCAR LB looks more like the old FN FAL, even if i know that makes no sence. The SCAR magazin is longer... well it is hard to figure it out by this bad picture quality.
  9. True. But the question for me is, why they changed OFP so much that ArmA became a complete differend game?! OFP 1.96 is perfect. All what OFP 1.96 had needed, were more or less improvements in grafic, netcode & physics. And some gimmicks that OFP Mods already done with their work, like lean and roll animations, animated tank guns, tank suspension simulations, burning simulations ect. Let me call it "love for details, of already working features". But no, instead of having an advanced OFP, they changed all core elements and called it ArmA. The game feels complete differend, and not enough BI seems rather invest more time and manpower in counterproductive stuff, than on stuff that the most player want. For example, working luxury features like Track IR have a higher priority over a correct simulation of rifles recoil. The new 3D sound simulation works neither better, nor is it more realistic as the plain solution of OFP. Not to mention the lousy stock weapon and vehicle sounds. For me, people are "forced" to use sound mods in ArmA, while sound mods were a optional alternative of personal taste in OFP. The stock sounds were ok, not super, but ok. However, i know i buy ArmA2, i don't worry about 45€. But after ArmA, i don't believe Bohemia Interactive knows what the strengths of OFP were. May they never played their own game in the past, i don't know, but something went wrong.
  10. The OFP2 developer walkthrough vid looks impressive. And if ArmA2 doesn't have proper controles, better LODs and a better audio-simulation as now in ArmA1, i am happy there is a alternatve in development, and i can forget ArmA2.

    The improvements on recoil were right. Who thinks, modern rifles have a recoil like WW2 weapons is wrong. But, compare to OFP, BI has still a long way to go, and i hope ARMA2 will have a recoil simulation like in the good old days of OFP. youtube clip ^^

    Yup, if i had never played OFP since 6 years, i may also never cared. But i did, and so i know CTI had a huge fanbase in OFP. Same as CTF. And ~ 95% of them don't like ArmA, because they know, Bohemia made a better job in the past as today. Again, there is still a CTI league, and they still play OFP, even if ArmA CTI missions are done now. For a reason. Evolution is just a reaction, on ArmAs slow & camper friendly gameplay. Killing AI is the last way to have fun, when your soldier act like a C-3PO robot.

    Bah come on, we have 15. Dez. 2007. I have my ArmA copy since ehmm over 1 year. No fixes for e.g. AI pathfining, or eighter for simple config bugs like this grenade machine gun recoil crap. I made clip for that ones (one year ago). http://www.myvideo.de/watch/588555 No i am not happy with this uncomplete software. I wished BI had made just a small GFX update of OFP 1.96, not more. They had their money, and time to dev. something new. But instead of this change all a little, and add some new bugs... pff.

    I my time at german bundeswehr, i could hit with a G36 in up to 600m, without any big problem. Even 800m was not impossible. G3 was harder, but with training and knowlege how this bumbstick shots, 300m wasn't a big deal. MG3 .. well 4 target on 400m in less than 10sec. Pistol P8, 50m one hand no problem (looked Hollywood like, but is a regular exercise for out of area missions) I have the feeling, that the most guys who think ArmA is so ueber-realistic, never hold a gun longer than 10min (or my never at all). A soldier holds his gun as solid he can, fixed in his shoulder. But if i fire a gun in ArmA, i don't have the feeling my avatar is holding his gun solid.

    ArmA is not more realistic, as long only the shoulders move while recoil. OFP weapon moved allways back to nearly the same spot after a shot, correct. Why didn't fixed Bohemia this little issue? However, i know if there will be the same poor weapon behavoir in the ArmA2 demo, like in ArmA1 is now, then i am not a customer of BI again.

    Huh?!.. you blame the wrong ones. The broken animations, performance issues and the odd weapon handling are the reason. OFP is better in this things, and CTI player still play CTI in OFP. Even CTITC season 8 will still use OFP, and not ArmA.

    Frontlines

    Desert Combat was the best mod for BF1942. I wished BI had the helicopter flight model form this one in ArmA... Anyhow, i think Frontlines will give me something play, till OFP2 comes out.
