my God this game is awesome! enabled 360 controller as well, so im using keyboard while infantry, and controller when im piloting helis and planes. works like a charm!

hehe yea, i copyed the default profile (dont think ds's profile works on Tir5 software?) and disabled the z axes in the copyed one, i accidently zoomed nonstop with it on :p

jees, did anyone see the "medic" system? hold the med pack, and wait til you are auto healed... this game sure has ALOT more arcade elements than sim. was considering buying both a2 and fpdr, but after seeing these vids, i just saved myself some money to use on something else. (buying a2 ofc, just not dr)

any chance u can make a fast profile with that? and upload. im not good with all those stuff in the software :) i usualy play with the default configurations EDIT: by the way dslyecxi, do u have a custom profile for arma2, as you had with arma 1? i allways used the a1 profile, so just wonder if u got one for a2 as well? :)

Got MY TiR5 today :) tryed it in ArmA (1) and i gotta say, its alot smoother than TiR4, at least on what i feel cant wait for ArmA2 to come out now!

try set the AI behaviour to safe or careless, that is if its the same as in ofp/arma1. no idea if that is gonna work with what they do in A2, dont got it yet, so cant test it :)

despite not having a job atm, i ordered myself TiR5, mainly for ArmA2, but how is TiR5 compared to TiR4 in ArmA 1? is there any difference at all there? or will the "big improvement" come with ArmA 2?

according to this link, arma 2 will have FULL support (yaw,pitch,roll,x,y,z) while arma 1 is only yaw, pitch x,z so its gonna be even more lovely to play arma 2 with it

I got TrackIR yesterday and simply loving it, playing arma (as well as other supported game) gives a totaly new feeling, its awesome. tho, i forgot to get the proclip thing to clip on ur headset, so i only got the cap sensor atm. But i have ordered the proclip one, should have it on tuesday i think. anyway, what kinda difference am i gonna "feel" by using the cap version, til the headset clip one? is there any difference at all, or is it just so u dont need to wear a cap?

Same problem, just installed the game after i formatted the pc a couple of months ago. havent played the game on a while. but last time i had this, there was a patch that fixed it, worked like a charm. cant remember which patch tho. did the 1.14 bring the bug back? since it DID work a few patches back ago cant wait to start up the game again

il try to run all on max. When i had XP, i ran everything on V.high/high smooth, but now i got like low on AF, shadows, disabled AA, low terrain, normal high/v.high on some others. small lagg spikes. seems like its pretty big diff from xp to vista :P the mic prob i had with previouse drivers, was that, when i i.e used ventrilo, and tryed to talk, everyone just heard a "piiiiiiiiiiiiiiip" so getting the newest driver, resoloved it. guess i have to test some drivers here and there

All hotfixes mate, thats why they are there for Please try removing your arma.cfg and then starting the game. It will prolly resolve your issue with the Queens Gambit startup message/error aswell. After that change the hdrprecision to: HDRPrecision=32; Btw, which soundcard do you have? Im running X-Fi and it seems after updating my audio drivers to 2.15.0003 I get the bluescreen at exit aswell lol, still investigating though update when starting with -dsound parameter, I dont get the bluescreen when quiting game. It really seems the new audio driver I installed, or more probably an updated openAL that came with it. Will update when I know more 1) tryed deleteing the arma.cfg alot of times but i still cant find the hdrprecision in there. 2) got x-fi myself, with the newest drivers, since they fixed my Mic + vista prob. so guess its those drivers who are abit bugged then. il try the command you wrote, to see if it works EDIT. -dsound sure works. no bluescreen good find mate EDIT2: now i got more in teh config as well. gonna try the HDR one. updating soon EDIT3: still flashing HDR, just a bit different kinda flash. not so intense. but still really annoying :P EDIT4: do you got some odd sounds when using -dsound? i got some real odd sound everywhere. menu, campaign. everywhere :S its like tzzk trtrkk trk :P alot of odd noices EDIT5: seems like the sound got better after re-adding the maxmem command. EDIT6: nah. annoying sounds still there.. hmm

can you paste whats in your arma.cfg file here? i belive mine is.. not really full. here is mine (note the resolution says this low, because it sets itself to default every time i get the BS) language="English"; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=12000.000000; Resolution_W=800; Resolution_H=600; Resolution_Bpp=32; is it just me, or is it missing quite alot here? and out of curiousety, which hotfix did you install? i only installed the top one.

little update. i now, got newest version of my chipset, graphic card, sound card. still i get bluescreen and flashy HDR. just cheacked the bluescreen error, and it was exactly the same one as you got. so same prob i guess.. il test some more tomorrow

there was 2 optimal updates. one for my monitor, and one for vista itself. installing both, just to be sure just a question. when u play. do you got "flashing" HDR? like the monitor blinks alot white, makes it impossible to see things. gonna see if there is a update for my chipset drivers as well. il do anything to get arma running smooth :P
