I'd love a hierarchal (urr...spelling?) command system where you can have people in your squad who command a squad themselves. We already have this in Conquest using scripts, but I would prefer it to be in-engine.

Here ya go

The forums are down too ... they also give some weird database error. I'm quite sure though that I44 won't be cancelled right now ... with the 'limited' SDK CM spoke of in sight
-
Right ... it should work now There might be some problems with the site's header, because I'm doing some HTML re-design Thanks for the heads-up btw.
-
Nope it doesn't ... but thanks for the offer!

We were thinking of doing a thing like this unofficially on our web-site ... we would add such a poll and just give BIS the results (up to them whether they were to use it or not). However, due to some problems with Gamespy Networks ... they still haven't set-up my GS poll account and I don't want to use a free poll service which requires me to post its adds on the page

Yeah man this MOD sure looks great I knever knew my DaveBabe had such great modelling and texturing capabilities

What definatly would have to be in OFP

Although I really would like an in-game server browser, I voted for the more life thing I just love it in a game when you are walking around in a living world ... it makes you feel like part of a bigger whole and gets me totally immersed. I wouldn't just want civilian cars driving back and forth, but farmers milking their cows, having their daily meals, go hunting in the fields, run some errands in Montignac's HyperMarket (), etc. Basically each character then should have a real life of its own. -
Not a doubt in my mind ... MOD tools

can i put paracuts on Vehicles

Yep you are right RED, but it will never look real good, because you aren't actually attaching the chute to an unit or object ... instead you are contantly checking the object/unit's location and then setting the chute's location relative to that to make it look like it's attached It will look better when you decrease the pause value in your looping script ... but certain on slower PCs look like zapping. -
Conquest is still in the works ... we had a set-back when our previous forums went missing with a lot of ideas and concept and such on it ... but we'll get those back since they are all in our heads. When it's time for a beta-test I'll look into how we'll be doing that ... we might make it public or give it out to a selected few ... we don't know yet, but I'll be sure to let you know

I gave my beloved game a 10 ... naturally Like a lot of you said ... nothing else compared to it ... nothing even comes close!

Ok, what am I doing wrong here...........
DnA replied to Col Rambo SBS's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Yeah Reaper is right I think ... you use doMove to make a member of a squad move to a certain location (he is then actually ordered by his leader to go there ... there's yet another variant to this command ... commandMove which accompanies the command with a radio message ... or the other way around) while move just makes any unit move to that location without any squad orders being involved. Anyway, try move like Reaper said hehe -
HMm ... I understand what you are saying with reason number #2. There's been a lot of little tools coming out lately for OFP, a-lone-wolf started with the modelling part and we may have some more official tools incoming in the future ... with all that in mind I wouldn't cancel my MOD due to a lack of (tool) support, but that's just my opinion. As for the rest of yer post Aldega, a tad exaggerated ... but I do see your point
-
Yeah that sure would be cool ... and hopefully some of you can somewhere in the future make some new add-ons with such models/buildings. Like MadMike said: just make them blend in the ground real good.
-
Those shots look real tight! Good work
-
I love to see a Vietnam mod Nah seriously, I really would like to see a mod which turns OFP into a strategy game. We are trying to this with Conquest, but for certain awesome features you will need to add stuff to the core code I think.

I voted for mission editing aswell of course Althought, just like what Snake said ... scripting is an essential part of mission editing so tbat's a tad dubious one
