Difference between init, on act/deac and scripts
ChevyVanDude replied to ChevyVanDude's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Thank you Myke. Although it isn't the exact answer to my question, it helped to clearify stuff. -
Difference between init, on act/deac and scripts
ChevyVanDude posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Hi all With great power comes great responsability. Well ok, just a nice cite, but this is my question: When you add something in the mission editor, you will have: Condition Initialisation On Activation On deactivation Scipt But what is the difference between all of those? I mean: Can I put something out of this page: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Category:ArmA_2:_New_Scripting_Commands_List in the On Activation? And is there a part in the Biki which explains all those options in enough detail? Thanks -

How to let a group join you
ChevyVanDude posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Hi all I seem to be doing something wrong when it comes to letting a group join me. Say: the player's name is: leader, and I want that man1,man2 and man3 join me when I'm in a 2 meter range. How do I do this? -

How to unbind connections between units
ChevyVanDude posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Hi Sometimes when i place two units of the same side, it will make a connection between them. An blue line appears and then your units are bound together. I don' t want that. How do I fix this? -
Getting units into buildings
ChevyVanDude replied to Mandingo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Or you can place them near the building and assign a waypoint to the unit that goes in the building. -
Voice actors forum group - find actors or become one!
ChevyVanDude replied to celery's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
I volunteer as a Dutch voice actor. I could do a English voice act as well (with or without a Dutch accent). -
Hello BI (and fans), I'm absolutely staggered by the simplicity, but powerfull mission editor. But there is one simple thing missing: An possibility to put notes inside the editor. So for example: you want to make a large mission, you type some charateristics in the notes section so you can review them later. I think it won't be too hard, just another screen (like Edit Unit) with one text field. I'm not a coder however.....

Hi, I believe there are cheats for this game, but I don't know how to activate it. I noticed:
-
CWR... I think it will be brought back if it is beeing ported to ArmA II. Personally, I'd like the idea of a laptop, but the mood of the game was all decisive.

I'm exactly at the same point. I saw that I could mount a vehicle, whilst not giving the order, and that was on grid reference:0909. Frustrating -
Getting team mate cover fire.
ChevyVanDude replied to vshadow's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
They do cover automatic. At least on Regular. -
A very stupid question :P. Well as far as I know, there is only ONE OFFICIAL campaign; Harvest Red.
-
See the other forum; Razor 2 (or Two). It covers the same mission.

What happens at a location near Visneya? I was under fire.

505 Version: Release Date & Other topics - EU/Aus/NZ/SA/ME/Israel etc.
ChevyVanDude replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Called three of four major game stores, one, Dixons, is not going to have it. Free Record Shop is unsure, the third one that I called, Nijmegen specific, assumes it will recieve it. Recapping: I don't know more than before..grr. -

ChevyVanDude replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Oh yeah. But if a crappy publisher want to make a bit of revenue, not saying 505 is, than the release the game a.s.a.p? Right. ArmA 2 is good so why not release it in 3 days I wonder? -

Why does Bohemia push some release dates back? I know that there are some bugs and where people have been complaining about, but is there ONE game which released totally bug-less? I doubt it. So if all the copies are made, all the maps are printed and all the suppliers informed, why not send it? -

Hello all, First off; yeah this game can rock balls, but I wonder: Would an OfP enthousiast, like me, like ArmA II / 2? What would be the main (or more) differences between ArmA 2 and Operation Flashpoint 2? Though I assume there will be lots of mod's which can turn ArmA 2 into OfP-ish, I'd rather buy some original. Does it has the '80s feeling? And there is an resistance civillian group right? That makes it even more realistic. If there ain't civilians (which I believe there were) it would just be another boring 1PS/3PS shooter.

Well, didn't read the whole topic, but I guess: Asus P43 motherboard with Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.6 (standard) and Asus HD4850 512 MB (standard) together with 4 GB of RAM and Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 would do the trick (on high settings). -
