After playing Arma for a very long time, I suddenly start getting just before the launcher starts, although the file named could be any random file. I have tried loads of different ways to join a server, used various launchers all to no avail. If there's anyone out there that could help, it would be gratefully received and as reward you could choose any of my children.

Mine is W10 x64 although I don't believe this is an operating system problem, more so it seem to be an Nvidia problem as a couple of guys in the server I play in, http://typhoongamers.enjin.com/home , have the same problem and both have Nvidia graphics cards. -

It would seem that this issue isn't limited to any one thing as I'm getting it as well.. If you still need help, I would be happy to offer my assistance. I am a native English person with very good English skills, ie grammar, punctuation and spelling. I could also offer proofing of your missions on our own TheUnXploitables [TUX1] dedicated server, currently running dev version, we were beta testers for several of Kiljoy's, Dwarden's and others missions, under a previouse guise of SuicidESquad [sES] and have been involved with the whole OFP,ArmA scene since its inception, as well as having several foreign nationals that could help with translation of grammar and spelling. -

im trying to start a dedicated server on diff pc, accessible for friends online but everytime i try to start it i get 'cannot start host on port 2302', however when i start it as a lan server i have no problems. im working behind a router with all ports open but cant seem to get this working. i have a problem with some menu buttons 'vanishing' in my in game menus, they are there at the start of the game but after a few mins they're not. any ideas? im running a 550Ti with drivers version 295.73 -
ive installed a vanilla version in safe mode, tried to patch it to 1.05 and i get nothing but errors. redownloaded the patches from various sites and i still get the same problems, try to run and i get either ' error whilst trying to extract' or patch is corrupt

this is a good idea but like most ideas it only looks good on paper. you cant have a PVP with uneven weapons and equipment, both sides have good and bad, you would need to play any map 3/5 times to get any real result and find some way of making it a level and even playing field, ie swapping sides and places on map which would then make the need to play each map position twice, which would then mean you'd be playing somewhere in the region of 8 games and up. In my opinion if you wanted to do a true Tournament Warfare Game, you need to create 2 sides with exactly the same number and type of equipment (and i dont just mean make 1 side with just Russian or American equipment, chose a random selection from both sides, for both sides) and then chose 2 start points and alternate them ( to even any benefit gained from terrain placement although it wouldnt stop a Commander from moving anywhere else on map) -

just run the beta and get 3-5 fps increase on ingame benchmarks..seems more stable but will give it thrashing tonite!! -
We are not a clan and we dont take part in any PvP activites, however we are a Global Gaming Group and have 2 ArmA II servers, as well as a Teamspeak 3 Server, running permanently. We have members from all over the globe, with varying levels of skill, including military, serving and non-serving and we just love the taking part of Co-Op and having a good laugh. We only take on regulars that have been around for a month or so and use Team Speak 3, We do this so we can understand how you play and get on with the other guys. With regards the bugs and such in Arma, unfortunately not everyone has the exact same machine, hell can you imagine trying to build a test rig that would cover every possibility of hardware and software compatibility! damn impossible I think! so yes there will always be bugs, if a human being is writing the code, there will always be bugs, and unfortunately the nature of the accountant is get it out sooner rather than later, so once again there will always be bugs! personally I think they did a damn fine job, carry on the good work guys! And I gotta admit it would be good to be able to lean around the cockpits in helos whilst the flight engines are good and the models look fantastic, dont think I'd like to scrath my nice new shiney helo on a tight landing area! -
Since doing an update install of Vista 64, from XP 32, everytime I run ArmA now I get some strange and jittery grfx effects, sometimes fps is almost 1!! When you say your gonna try to put a 'Black Market' sales person or two in, does this mean you can get all weapons and vehicles from them, regardless of side? and does it mean that they may, or may not, work?? ie Delboy from 'Only Fools and Horses' or 'this bloke from down the pub' fame. OH! and thanks for a cool mission, and carry on the good work.

Tinking about that... Would it be possible then, if not the Helos, to 'Reclaim' Enemy vehicles that have been repaired, as when we take a weapon off the dead enemy they stay with us till game end or we swap again. And would it be possible to have a larger choice of vehicles won from finishing side missions, as when I was playing on SES server the other night, we got about 6 Harriers.....which whilst nice are bloody useless with out L D's! Â Â oh and the prototype tank mission at Arcadia is bugged...when we destroy the tank, with either Satchel or RPG, we kept getting the 'The SLA have decided to destroy it themselves' message, and hence end up with nothing won. Thanx

Not possible. There is no isAdmin command or something like this. is this just in your mission as there is an admin spectate in Kiljoys Evolution? and not a good idea to 'force' people to use a patch that is still in beta testing stage, methinks? oh and thanks for a fantastic mission...I especially like the side missions. Â

would it be possible to allow the use of vehicles to be used as distractions ie fill them with explosives and allow them to be rolled, pushed or similar into a camp or such?
