Considering this beast is coming from the same stable that produced the top-notch M4/M16s, this will be something to behold.

Veni Vidi Vici Mod (Romans and Barbarians)
chops replied to ProfTournesol's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
It is possible to 'fake' sliding animations, if you place the animation axis far enough away from the plane being animated. Brsseb explained it well in his #9 of his O2 tutorials. I've uploaded it to Megaupload. I've got the whole lot, dunno if they're still hosted anywhere. If anyone wants them, let me know. Then you can give ProfTournesol a helping hand :) -
Very well said Vultar! My thoughts exactly.
-
Superb work as always mate. Top-notch quality!
-
Nice addon. A Mig-21 fits well with the theme of OFP.
-
You mean create an addon from scratch? It's a pretty long process. Do you already have a model for you mortar? There are a few addons around that use the CoC UA system. Have a look at the artillery in the Falklands mod and see how they did it. It's actually version 1.0 of UA that has the documentation on how to make an addon UA compatable. Good luck!

Fantastic looking work! Will be very interested to see the final product. -
If only there was a specific thread for requesting addons.
-
:j:Maybe it's worth having a look in the Arma: Cold War Assault Free Update 1.99 thread?
-
Nice screenshots! Are they from the new models? The textures on the tanks look different to those from the download on the first page.

There are a few bugs with Nocture's 3.2 models. Tanks with that damn spinning on the spot problem, some weird LOD issues, missing sounds etc. Is he looking for feedback transyt? This is not a political forum. Posting rubbish like this only leads to problems.

Interesting news. I was impressed with the PLA mod, looking forward to seeing how Virtual War Asia Mod turns out. Thanks for clearing that up transyt.

Operation Enduring Freedom - unofficial WGL expansion

darkdexter, it's just me and a couple of OFP die-hards playing over Hamachi mate. A few other people have enquired. There's been a few problems of late, but we'll be back in the saddle sometime next week if you're still interested. -
This Uzi addon has some kind of animations. I think it's something to do with hidden selections, but I'm guessing. In short, it isn't really possible to animate weapons in OFP. Weapons are animated in Arma and Arma II.

Operation Enduring Freedom - unofficial WGL expansion
chops replied to chops's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi G44, thanks for the kind words mate. I am in fact working on adding a generic Middle East conventional force, very loosely based on the Iraqi military. It's basically any Soviet/Russian equipment I can find in desert camo that wouldn't look too out of place in a Middle Eastern theatre. So far I have the T-55s and T-72s and an Mi24 from RHS configed with WGL weapons and armour values. There are a few other things I'll have to ask permission for. I have also used Sanctuary's great modder resource pack to knock together some Middle-East themed conventional infantry.:) I do have the WGL British units kindly provided by Mjolnir66 (see first page of this thread). I'll add them once I've got the Middle East OPFOR out the door. Also, we are always looking for MP COOP players who are interested in playing with this mod. We are around GMT +10. Cheers Chops -
Great work Faguss! It's exactly the kind of organisation that OFP needs, but I imagine it's very tedious work to do. Good on you!
-
Ahhh right! I thought you were Brazilian from having made Brazilian soldiers :D
-
A very nice surprise! I will be putting these to work in Afghanistan. I'm just curious, why did you chose to make Australian infantry?
-
Niiiiiice! Looking very good.
-
Isn't a valid link mate. Perhaps I can help, but not without a description of the error you're getting.

Wow! Looks like a hell of a lot of work there Prof. Great stuff. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread. Keep at it! -
Well that's what I'm saying my friend. BMPs painted in desert camo would be nice.
-
Wow! Some great work here, I'm really impressed. It looks like a lot of effort has gone into these. I particularly like the textures, as the vehicles look like they've been in use for a while, rather than new, shiny factory-fresh paint jobs. A nice touch with the animated rear doors too. The desert variants look great, but they look like green BMPs that have been through the desert, rather than purpose-painted camo like this There are a few little problems here and there, nothing major. Is AALEX planning on working on them any further? Good stuff!

I'm surprised people are still playing ArmaII:p They'll be back one day! I wish you father a speedy recovery MichelleG. Good to hear you're back on deck with this project.

Post the script here mate and somebody should be able to help you.:)
