XAM *would* be great if an english manual came out finally. I downloaded the massive thing only to then not be able to figure all the good stuff out and ended up deleting the entire thing. The Swiss Mod, as nastros said, is not that massive, got some nice weapons plus the ghillie suit--although the two MP missions I've played (the police one and the one with the two mortar positions to be eliminated) with sniper slots I have yet been able to see what it looks like. (Maybe I'm missing something? )

I second that question as well. I downloaded it, and can't figure out diddly-squat. Not particularly fun considering the size and how long it took to download.

Hmmm you have a point...not 110% positive but I *think* so. Might remove everything I can find and try everything all over again just to be positive. See if that's what's wrong. I hope so. BTW--Yeah it's pretty damn good if you ask me. I actually like it a tad bit more than 28 Days believe it or not. Even liked the sound track as well. Then again Days had a real good one as well.

For some reason I couldn't even get the demo mission to work. Kept saying something about needing downloaded content or something. I'll have to try it again later and get the exact message. Been dying (pun not intended...or was it? lol) to get at least the demo mission working especially after watching 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later today, hehe

hi guys, I thought I'd post this here instead of opening up another thread wasting space. I just tried my hands at a squad.xml for the first time last night. I used the squad editor that you download to make them easily. I made a 256x256 .paa file and uploaded it to my clan's server with everything. when I press P to bring up that list, I see all the info plus the logo, but I don't see it in the game on the sleeve nor on any vehicles? I mean I tried this damn thing several times, following every tutorial I could find and STILL nothing! lol I even opened the xml file and verified everything was exact as it showed in BIS' wiki page for squad.xml files and it was. I just don't get it...? Is there anyone willing to lend a hand possibly, please? [edit] I even download an already made .paa flag and tried using that, and still nothing showed up in game on anything.

Heya Itzhak, Ahhh, so it was your site, cool. Glad to hear that was the reason for the downtime, not that you just got bored with everything and decided to let the site go down. Trust me when I say, it is 100% totally understandable, achi. A shame because some--like me--really hoped for such a release (if you read my addition to the "ArmA is just ... awesome!" thread you might understand a wee bit why I do). However, such a release, you just never know what could happen. So, yeah I understand where you're coming from, and respect your choice for sure. BTW in case if I never got a chance to tell you via your site, you did one hell of a great job on the things you did post on your site back when it was up and running. I remember I use to keep it tabbed on my Firefox and always checked back throughout the day sometimes, lol.

I hope so. I know that at one time there was a site that was showing progress shots of some IDF vehicles and such but suddenly one day the site was down and has never come back. I think there might be some makers out there that would consider such a project for ArmA but at the time the tools were an issue. I'm really hoping to see some things in the near future for sure. BTW... @Miles Teg Hehehe, I'm familiar with the LoBo mod for OFP but I never played OFP (though your mod has given me much interest in buying OFP so I can give it a good try for sure ) I certainly wish you all the best in finding the help you need in the future to get this excellent stuff into the world of Arma. Then I can die a happy man.

I'm unsure personally, but it would be a really good addition. I'm also hoping for a good IDF mod for Arma. The last time I saw one in development the website went down and never came back--so not sure if it was scrapped. Hopefully with the new tools, there will be some really awesome stuff coming out in the near future--like the hezbollah stuff. Just have to wait and hope, I guess. Like with any good thing.

I'm wondering/looking to find out if there are any pro-Israel units or "clans" or communities that are possibly based off of or modelled after the IDF (or any one particular unit within the IDF?) I was familiar with and had contact with the Egoz-Golani clan, but for one reason or another they disbanded before even really starting and went their own way. If there are, feel free to privately contact me with any information, please. Very much appreciated.

Well I'm kinda new and figured why not also add my positive view on ArmA. I personally love ArmA. Sure it's not 100% perfect--then again what game ever is? You may come close, but for me I haven't seen the big "IT" yet. I've played games like America's Army Online, BF2, etc--usually just stick to military games, but this by far blew me away. I haven't had the pleasure of coming over from OFP, though I wish I did as I could tell there was a great time of fun to be found there, so ArmA is the first major game I've come into contact with and enjoy it alot. I think a major reason for me, is being disabled with muscular dystrophy (please hold all tears and donations until later, folks.....on second thought give me your money now ). I had to give up a lot--especially dreams. I've always had a love of things military, and obviously I'll never get to serve. So for me ArmA gives a guy like me an opportunity to escape from all the BS in life and be that "soldier" I'll never be in real life--even if its for a few minutes or an hour. And for that I give BIS a huge thumbs up for putting together something that gives me some joy and escape. I guess thats why I like playing this kinda thing in a more milsim manner--just hard finding like minded guys lol. Thankfully, unlike my experiences on AAO and other games, ArmA provides a great environment to do such things, which makes it much more enjoyable for me than just random bunny hopping and going Rambo. And I also can't forget to give a to the excellent modding community that has and is producing some really incredible things that make an even bigger experience for people, especially guys like me. So at least in my book (and obvious improvements aside), ArmA is a great game to play.

I tried it last night and when I was playing the some of the SP missions I noticed when I moved the rifle around it was a bit sluggish and not smooth at all--maybe I need to edit my settings in the ATI CCC (I just have it defaulted at Balanced). I was wondering if also my CPU is a bit crappy? I don't know as I'm far from a PC guru here, lol. Maybe one of you guys could answer that. I mean I was able to play RB6 Vegas, GRAW and GRAW 2 all maxed out with no lag at all--well except for Vegas but that was because of that annoying blur effect setting which only made me nauseous anyway lol. Anyhoo, thanks a lot for settings suggestion OFP! I owe ya a round of beer n' pool.
