It's for AMD Dual cores. Example, I can not play several older games without enabling "Gaming Mode" with it. The games load up to a video glitch, and will not go past that point. Its for AMD dual core cpus on XP. Not Vista.

Used to happen to me, sometimes gamespy plays up. I solved the prob by making sure I had the gamespy ports opened in my modem.

Just installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit, added another 2 gig ram (4 total) updated Vista and installed the Sp1 RC. Installed Arma and no probs at all. Using Forceware 169.25 drivers.

Have you gone into your profile and edited it to have the custom face? Also how big is the face.jpg? Most servers have size limits, you are safe with most if file size is under 100kb.

GSA and OGN have their own TS servers, Im pretty sure a few of your AEF lads have the addys and pws

Im getting same issues since 1.08, not only confined to the ground, sometimes there will be a spike/spikes in mid-air. AMD 3800 x2 2 gb ram x1950 pro 512 pcie win xp pro x64 catalyst 7.5 and hotfix both same, yet to try 7.6 All settings normal except terrain and post process (low), res at 1280x1024, VD 1500. ALT-TABing out off and back in to game always makes it go away for me. Not overheating, card isnt going over 60-63 degrees. (Everest lets me see the temps in G15 LCD) Will get some screenies.

Id say you would need a dual core cpu to run ded on same machine as playing. I have AMD 3800x2, 2 gb ram and x1950 pro, I run a ded server on one core and my game runs on the other, most of the time load is at 100% on both cores, ram usage sits at 90-95 %. I have zero lag, even EVO running for 4 days didnt produce any, mind you I have config set to only 8 players, maybe that has something to do with it?

I saw the same clips, even near misses were creating enough of a shockwave to do serious damage.

Probably because you have AMD, seems to be mainly INTEL users with the problem.

Maybe they should go down the path of Supreme Commander, they just released a patch that removes the securom CP.

You email them at the address given in your email from them, include the email addy you used when buying the game and the order number they gave you, they ask for a reason why you need the new activation number, you reply, they send you another email saying 'we strongly suggest you get your pc into proper working order blah blah" with another email with the new activation. Basically, make sure you have an activation whenever you reinstall arma, or windows, or patch arma, they can take a few days giving you the new one.

I have seen the info on a forum, its a well known warez info site. Basically the pirates are playing the game no worries at all, patched to 1.05 AND online, while us legit users are being shafted.

I got the same from morphicon/metaboli, I replied that I had reinstalled windows twice and had reinstalled the game once because of various reasons, including trying to improve the performance of the game, they sent me an email back saying "we strongly suggest you get your pc into proper working order" They gave me another 3 activations but who the hell are they to say how many times I can reinstall windows or uninstall/reinstall a game I have paid for. I, like many many others, will not be purchasing a sprocket/morphicon title ever again.

Theres also the fact that the setup is only messing up us legit users, the warez scene are using the pirated images and a keygen no worries, even with the updated cp in the 1.05 patch. They are even playing online with it no problems. The copy protection doesnt work, its only irritating those of us who have purchased the game. Whoever had this bright idea should be ashamed of themselves and be demoted to gofer.

If u let windows create its own, its putting it all over your partition, its not in one block. This means your pagefile is fragmented, therefore slower to access. 1024 min/max seems good for most ram amounts, even my kids pc mith 512 ram works fine with this setting. Just experiment and see what works best for your own setup.
