I agre. This would be a cool feature. I was thinking of porting the mission to the OFP world map (all 4 OFP islands on one map) youd need boats for that. Also, can I just say about the 3rd person / crosshair issue; I think we should drop it. Or start a new thread abou it. I only just mentioned it, but this thread is about Warfare. Lets stop talking of anything else before the admins tell us off,

Yeah, why don't Ballistic Addons Studio get back to making addons again, eh? They were fantastic. And when is Tonahl coming to ArmA? And yes, you have to tell the pilot to disembark. he lands, gets out. you get in, tell him to get in and fly off. Bit pants, but there we are.

[Rant] The only thing that really annoyed me, was that all the servers i played on had 3rd person turned off!! In real life you have spatial awareness. you know what’s around you, how far across the road your car is, etc. I know ArmA has those silly little light balls at the edge of the screen, but I need the 3rd person view. I don't find it more realistic, i find it a pain to not know how close to a wall i am. They also turn the cross hair off. That mimics your hand eye coordination. i know i cant see a magic floating cross hair in real life but ArmA is a game and, again, I need the cross hair!! Don't try to tell me I’m not a good player, or i need to practice like this. I've had 29 years of practicing my hand eye coordination and spatial awareness. To have no way (except the light balls) to replicate this in the game, I’m screwed. [/rant] <..cough..> Warfare is great. Well Done BI. Lets have three cheers for Bohemia Interactive. AH, splendid.  You answered my next question; "are there AI players too". I am real exited about this mission! I haven’t felt this way about ArmA for a long time!! I will be skipping home from work in about an hour!!

You know, i havn't played ArmA for quite some time. But this "Warfare" looks amazing! I will be playing it tonight! BUT I have some questions: 1) Are there any servers out there running it? Last time i played there was only Evolution. On almost all the servers out there!! 1a)Is there an official server running Warfare? 2)How long would a game last?

I would have put desert island closer to Nogovas Western shore as that was also desert ground... just a thought. But how easy would it be to move them around in visitor (or whatever)? Also how easy is it to retexture the islands? -

I like the island(s).  It's a Massive map!! My only 'issue' is that i think Kolgujev is in the wrong location. In Flashpoint the Russians invaded Everon, then Malden. It was my understanding that Everon was between Kolgujev and Malden. Then in a later mission, US forces fly North from Malden and arrive on the South shore of Kolgujev. It my personal opinion that the islands layout should look like this;       Kolgojev  Evaron          Malden                  Nogova What do people think of this? Finally, is it possible to change the snow texture of Nogova, as I don’t think it fits with the rest of the islands. Love the concept though. [EDIT: I've thought about this. I don't and can't expect you to rearrange the whole thing just for me. How hard would it be for a complete map making noob to move the land masses and retexture one island?] -

Noooooo! Just a thought, not sure if it works with ArmA, but in OFP you could run two instances on one machine. Try running a server and the client, it'll run slow but should run at least.. -

That would be fantastic if you would, in case you hadn't noticed I'm feckin useless at stuff like that. Oh no! I think I’ve chewed off more than i can bite! I'll do my best lads, perhaps I’ll get some time over the week end.

You could load up the mission, and press the '+' key a few times, and go make a cup of tea / coffee. This will speed up the game clock up to 4 times! Night time will soon fly by, and I find Chocolate hobnobs with the tea / coffee help pass the time nicely As for a 'field manual'.. perhaps I’ve found the best way for me to contribute to this great mission! I'll nock one up and PM it to you, MrN, and you can say 'Yay or Nay' about its inclusion..

Yep, worked fine, thanks. I would never have figured this out myself, there is nothing about it in the readme . Doesn’t it tell you to talk with him to get missions, talk with the pilot to get a flight, talk with the medic to heal and get troops and talk to the ammo dude to get ammo..? And i thought you get a line saying to visit the SpecOps guy to get intel... It used to do this anyway, is this missing in the newest version?

Nope, not yet. I've run out of fun with Arma at the mo, Dawn Of War is my mistress currently. I'm sure I'll be back... oh no! He's playing something else! ArmA is dead... Â (i shouldn't talk mind, im playing WoW and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and havnt looked at ArmA for a while! ) I'll load it up again soon, before i totally loose the feel for it.

Don`t like Realism Mod, and so many people have a lot of troubles as I heard. Step by step: 1) AMK Mod the latest version 2) A-Life Mod by Sanexx 3)M_BCCF_Full 1.2.1 Final (new monsters). This mod`s combination works well together. And there are more changes then in 3 patches taken together  I recomend all of these mods listed, especially A-Life mod by Sanexx, dont get confused with A-Life Alpha mod which screws up games. What it does? See it yourself.... watch mutants around you  Hi guys, I’m new to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but love it! It's so creepy. And the AI is rather good in the way they stay in cover and try to flank you. I haven’t got too far into it yet, but have read about some of these mods (including the vehicle mod). If i install them, will i have to restart? Also is the vehicle mod any good, or does it make the maps feel smaller? And finally, where is the best place to get them?

Sorry, I’ve missed the last month or so. I fell into World of Warcraft and have been lost in there for sometime. But I’m back now. I see there’s another update for your mission. Well done. I'll give it a go. Any news on the "finale mission"? Have you implemented it yet, or still trying to figure out how to?

Can't say I've experienced this...my choppers just sometimes bash into the side of the mountain. I have had a similar thing happen. when returning to base, the chopper would speed up, then pull back and slow down, then speed up, then pull back and slow down....all the way back to base. It was as though it could not calculate it's route or as if it was waiting for something or someone, like a slower unit.. nothing else to report.

of course they'll work. We're not about to (when I say we, I mean chris of course) model the bayonets just because it looks pretty. The bayonets will work as they did in OFP. we'll make our own animation, as we did with ofp. Splendid. However, i could never get the OFP ones to work, and i assumed you had used the inbuilt strokegun anim. This is good news. Another reason for the SLA to worry; "The British are coming", and the have bayonets!
