Hmmm...you’re on. I think we'll need a new forum called "Conspiracy Theories". Inside we can open new threads "JFK", "Roswell", "Gulf War syndrome", "armed Assault release date" etc, etc. {realizing he's off topic} ...um...the demo was cool(?)

{on that note...} William has been quite as of late. Maybe something has happened, like friendly fire or a road side bomb. Hope he's ok, or we may never know whats going on 'over there'. I've heard that they'll be pulling out soon.... {...continuing the fantasy}

...what the hell is this all about! I think we finaaly gotten to the bottom of the extended development times: Â BIS are all mental!

Armed Assault is coming soon so; 1.Will you release any of you stuff for OFP? If not; 1a.Will you be holding off for ArmA? 1b.Will you be dropping the old stuff and starting from scratch for the new game? If so; 2.Will any one ever play OFP again? If not; 2a.Will any one ever see your hard work? 2b.Will you drop support in favour of ArmA? End IF; Exit

I kind of agree. It did feel dissjointed when you switched to the other roles. But I did like James' missions a lot. What would have worked better would have been four seperate takes on the 1985 campaign, with a new campaign for each bloke. And also; It's a game. If you want it to be that real join the Army. Seriously though, what do you want; get shot and die in a mission and the game is no longer playable? Resulting in you having a game you can no longer play and youe virtual life on 'Sarah' being over? It would be nice for you to be able to fail a mission but still move on the next one. But diying, come on..

Well, raj, Armed Assault is the new game under development by the creators of Operation :Flashpoint and due for release soon. The Second Generation Game (or Game2 as some call it) is also a new game under development by the same people. But this 'Game2' is aimed at the masivly powerfull pcs of the near future, capable of so much more than todays technology. In short, Armed Assault is for now, Game2 is for tomorrow. Hope you understand

It's only got to run for two more months. Then we can get out there and help old Will in the Armed Assault.
-
Yeah, I noticed that too. Maybe we can expect a more upto date demo soon on the front of a magazine or downloadable
-
Really? What will we be using instead? Not the yankie jeep surely?

Yes spot height often appear 'peaks'. What I mean is that you can't easily tell whether those peaks are lying in a wider depression or on an elevation A spot height is a lot more useful when you know the height of the surrounding terrain (usually indicated by the contours). e.g. Without elevations marked on the contours (and without refering to the wider map) you couldn't quickly tell the difference between a small hill in a valley or the peak of a small mountain. On paper they would both just be a bunch of circles with a spot height in the centre. Durring WWII the 101st named a hill after one of those marks/spots. It had a spot height of 30 hence "Hill 30".

"the fat man" Thats just nasty and clearly 'flamebating' The aforementioned "fat man" is actually Yoshiro! You nasty so-and-so

Then you'll have to make a 'real map mod' for ArmA. (that's two potential mods i've comeup with now!
-
Do you guys intend to make any Bedford trucks too?
-
Guys, have you noticed how "frank" isn't actually looking out of the front windshield? Interesting eh?

with new properities - big battles, many soldiers and new models and missions  - old stories  and nicer old islands (new textures, addos and etc. So your in too? {We'd better get a new thread going before we get "moved"} Also that image is surely PhotoShop. look at the trees in the front right...all blurred and stuff.
-
...Is this true? Â
-
I think you might be right, it doesn't specify the location of the new island, so prehaps i'm right... (even if it does have palm trees growing on it...)
-
I wonder what will come next? Â Why is that guy in a civilian pickup rather than a militery vehicle?
-
That's what I mean by a customized version -- if you were playing around with New Zealand's shape, and cut off most of South Island, then connected the two, and tweaked North Island to fill out a square better, you would get an island much like Sahrani. Â It's a bit of a stretch, I know (and i'm probably the only one who thinks this), but that's what Sahrani makes me think of. So what your saying is, if you change both of NewZlenad's islands completely and join them up together you end up with a single land mass that looks nothing like newzeland? Hmmm....you might be on to something there. Â Definetly a simularity with the Northern section.
-
Me too! Thank god I'm not alone. Hey Ziiip, shall we start a mod team called CWCmod? I can't make islands, model men, vehicles or weapons. I can't make 2d textures or make very good web sites. But other than that I'm pretty good. Oh, also i can't code or write scripts......
-
So is this not true (Found that here Down the bottom) ...loving the militery GTA idea!! @Placebo; We need some rumour control here. Â Please set us straight, Is there more than one island planned? Will the old OFP content be included?
-
Maybe the other islands are the Malden islands
