    Ambient Combat Module

    Im no expert on ACm yet, but i think you need to sync the ACM module to the 'player', so if your you have a multiplayer mission all playable units need to be linked to it. waitUntil {!isNil {BIS_ACM getVariable "initDone"}}; waitUntil {BIS_ACM getVariable "initDone"}; hint "started" (BIS_ACM is the name of the module) I'm not sure if you can check if its still running though. Hope this helps a little. :)
  3. Thanks for that. ..i think you might be right mate. I think i've set it up right, but no british troops turn up. In fact ALL West faction troops (US, CZ and German) show up, but no British ones. Im heading over tot he ACm thread to set those lot loose on it, cheers. PS, if any one still hasnt decided to get the BAF DLC yet, then i highly recomendyou get it. There are no support trucks, but still, its real good ;)
  4. Love the DLC, bit gutted there are no support units or Spec ops troops (sas would have been a nice touch ;) ) I have a questions though, how do you get them to spawn with the ACM module?   5. Hi guys, Is it atall possible to make a standard car or truck act like a support vehicle? i mean how do i make a car act like a refuel, repair or an ambulance? I'd like to do the same for a building too ( i know you can place a MASH tent, barrels and some ammo boxes, but waht about repairs?). I know about this script; http://www.kylania.com/ex/?p=28 It works, but i dont really like the way it does it (taking every mag off the vehicle, unit first, then putting back. Any ideas guys? :confused:
  6. interesting...I'll try it out. but wont the car then have a big huge tent on /in it?? guess i could do the same with ammo boxes and fuel barrels. Like I said, I'll try it out and see right now. I tried to drive the car but it shot up in to the air! hahahaha!! Flying car with a big old tent strapped to it. Well, it kind of works with ammo and fuel, but i cant get the AI drivers to work in a support capacity. Also, how do you add repair to a vehicle?
  7. the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, or MASH, allows players to heal them selves. A wounded person aproaches the tent and selecs heal from the action menu, exactly like a ambulance. Can you think of how to create such a script so i could attach it to another vehicle? EG, the BAF units dont have support vehicles, but they do have a landrover that could server the purpose ...
  8. Hmmm, guess we agree. I see what you mean about the long wounded bits now, and yeah MrN was on the ball with fixes, but gues RL is getting the way of the important things eh? Maybe i should pull my socks up and press on with my "DynaMish" then eh? ;)
  9. Sacrilege! I myself have followed this mission from the ground up. The steps taken to ensure an enjoyable experience have been painstakingly coded by Mr. Nasty over years and years of hard work. ..by the way, i am starting to import / adapt / recode (yeah right!) my own version of GW on Takistan, with BAF units. I will be using the ‘rescue me’ missions. You will be whisked off to another map (namely Shapur, located on the Karzeghistan side of disputed border with Takistan), randomly dropped into one of the area and rescued by one of the underused international SpecOps teams (German, CZ or US). The capture and escape missions make GW awesome

    Sorry if this was posted earlier, but there was a lot to look through..:o What is the faction for the BAF units? I guess its "BIS_BAF" is that right? [EDIT] i found out that BIS_BAF is correct, but when i pass that faction to the module no british troops turn up. In fact, ALL the other OA west troops show up (US, CZ, German, etc) but no British ones. Possibly no BAF troops have been set up in ACM? If not how could this be done, or would it need to be sorted in a patch??
  11. I didn’t spot this post before. This sounds promising! Hope you manage to do it mate. Be nice if someone could knock up a quick demo mission too, as I don’t have a clue how it works.

  13. I would also like to know how to do this. I do know that if you launch OA on its own, you get the Takis, but if you run it as Combined ops, you get the Russians. any one know?

    ArmA2:Oa Patch 1.54 released!

    Fortunate they look rather poo in the patch. I’m glad i spent the whopping £6 on the full DLC. Seriously though guys, if you haven’t got it, i fully recommend you do. My only bugbear is that there are no planes, tanks, specops or support vehicles. :( But still its worth the £6 you would probably spend on coffee or fags in a week anyway. Go get it this weekend lads.
  15. No good, i cant open the PBO. I have linked PBOs to the app, but when i right click and 'open with cpbo' nothing happens. what am i doing wrong, any ideas? ---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 PM ---------- I asked this in another thread, but got no answer so i'll try asking here aswell. Is it possible to get SOM working along with warfare module? I can get both to run, but the communication (8-2-1) wont show up. Only the warfare options are listed (they start at 3) Also i take it no one knows how to replce the default units with specific ones? I mean, we can do it with Ambient Combat Manager so why not SOM too? Any one got any ideas?

  18. Change of plan. again. I'm going to use BAF instead! Can you believe i paid for this DLC, when they went and released them for free in the patch anyway?! I am getting something funny happen though. at the start of the mission, when the base units are created, the chopper spawns, but the pilots die straight away and i get a warning "chopper is down, we need to find our own way back" Dont know why this is happening, i havnt touched the chopper scripts yet. and it has plenty of room, its not like its banging into a house or anything..odd eh?

  20. Yup, restart works. It wasnt anywhere to be found, but i restrted and now im downloading it. Do you guys know how long i've been waiting for some UK troops to ge in into these games? about 10years i'd say. I know there were mods and addons but nothing quite gave me a full UK force. Oh boy, this is gona be good!
  21. How do i do that? I tried using View PBO and UnPBO but neither would open it up. I managed to open it with notepad, but get the impression I’m not seeing the whole picture. What did you use?

  23. ..I also started to try and re code the whole thing...but i suck! So i'll go back to importing and adapting. I was thinking of inserting the player via Halo, you know like the single player training mission? By the time he hits the deck the base and other scripts will have finished and he'll have time to select his settings on the way down. This could take some time as my understanding of the web of codes in MrN's missions alone is poor to say the least. :(
  24. Actually, im stillgetting problems. When i load vanilla ArrowHead, i get the IslaDuala addons listed in the expansions. When i load CombinedOps, i only get Arma2, but the island and addons are still in the editor. How do i get Isla Duala & arma2 to show up in the expansions?
