    I think the graphics look pretty damn good. Have you seen the vidios? The animation is nice and smooth, and like everyone is saying, the game is still under development. Granted the game still looks alto like OFP...thats becose, esentially, it is. ArmA is OFP tarted up to the hilt with new animation, bigger islands, improved physics, new shadow system, better looking models and probably improved sounds eventually. I'll be buying it out of loyalty to flashpoint. I loved it then, i still love it now, it's the only game to have kept me interested for more than a week. Infact its kept me hooked for years. I'm sure to love every aspect of Armed Assault and hope to be addicted to that for years to come too. Untill Game2 is out, the it starts again!!

    Good point there. Â Fixed would be good for CQB i agreee. (Totally off topic;are there any bots/ AI in BF2? Â could you play it on your own, off line?)

    No clue, I haven't heard rank or procedure mentioned. With digi-camo now being worn by all forces it is tough to tell. It started with the Marines, and the Army and other branches have adopted using it. One of the few times the Marines got a toy first. But my guess with the forces on Sara is Army, just as OFP was. Hmmm...just did some detective work. ...i had a look on his blog theres a link there to Army TImes may be a fair guess that he is army rather than Navy Still have yet to see any civilains, we know there are civilain cars, so who drives them?

    The only 'problem' i found was that when the player respawns he has his pistol out but it isn't selected.  Other than that it works fine. Also { Might be nice to see:  Random sand storms (my system strugles with DAC but i think it would be worth it)  Armed Humvees instead of Jeeps  and thats about it. }

    hmmm..I buckled under the lack of ArmA and rushed out and bought Hitman:Blood Money only to find out the my GeForce 4 Ti4200 wouldn't run it. The ti4200 has pixel shading but this new Hitman uses shader 2.0. Â Go to Eidos the forums to see mine and many other's rants on how faulty this game is. THe game feels very amature and rushed for release. @BIA: Take you time with this one. OFP was a master piece and, while it may look dated, is still as good today as it was back then. Don't let a publisher push you as IOI did. I'm loath to upgrade for Hitman, but for ArmA I'll buy a complette new system if needed! Â (well...a new card anyway! ) Â

    I would like to know how much more it would improve the program with the card as opposed to w/o it. Since the cards are currently still quite expensive this becomes an interesting question! Â Yeah. I just bought Hitman:Blood Money but can't smegging play it due to my card!! I need a new one and would like to know what the best, long term option would be.

    This is going to be a war game rather than a hiking or site seeing game. When the bulets are ziping past you face, and smacking into the guy next to you, i doubt you'll care very much about the pretty seas or have time to look at the fluffy clouds floating by.

    Look at the blog photos, see the rising tide? Notice the small island behind the telegraph poll. See how the water level changes around it. This also happens in OFP if you look. Load up the desert island and place a gut at the waters edge. Now change the time of day and the level of the water will change. I have yet to watch this happen in game though, but i'm sure it'll happen.

    Impresive. Most impresive. (even if the liquid does look a bit thick (could be oil i guess)). This would look good in a game.

    About time!!!! Hooray!!! Nice images. Better upgrade my graphics (I anint got too much cash, think a geforce 6600 will be ok?) Also...Frank says the camera got nicked...but how did he get the photos off it...?

    1.96 problems

    I installed the latest driver for my GeForce 4. While i don't get any error messages, any vehicle you get into flashes! And the pistols!! very amusing, but very anoying. If you roll back all is ok.

    Does the player start on the East or the West side of the island? What are you planning on doing with Guba's House and the base on the same side of the fence?
