Oh God, oh God, oh God! <s>[EDIT]; um slight question(s) Â how do you request HALO? Â and where is the 'mission hut'? I love the fact you now respawn with your old weapon load out. </s> [EDIT 2]; WHAT! I went back onto Jolt.co.uk today (the only playable ping result i can get keeps me going back), only to be told the new Evolution has been taken off because it crashes the server!! is this true?!!

I found it in Game in the UK for 20pound (Thats 40 Euros)! Â Think i'll wait a few months before i spend that much on 6 new characters, a Hummer limo, a DC10 and a grenade launcher thank you very much. EDIT: why can't i enter a pound sign? it just comes up as this; £

PS...there is an evolution blue!! must be one of those unofficial version.
-
Remember not to look directly at it! It could permanently damage your eyes!

Try it and let us know. You may need to check this out first though; Eclipse info

Shall we start calling is EVO Blue? I'm not being sarcastic, just if we have an EVO Red (presumably for OpFor) then it makes sense to call the other one EVO Blue...

Are the campaigns better than the standard ones?
-
That will depend on where and when you will call it. The down side of this is that you might get put in the bananaphone room simply for calling for ammo drop. Also you could get demoted a rank for doing the same.. Could you prehaps sort it so that support calls don't take your score past zero, or lower than your current rank..?

"GQ"? Â "The Gamit Queens" !! Sounds like a band /group! Â Cool! How about Ammo trucks being able to build ammo boxes?

Hotfix for Vista related to out of memory errors
stegman replied to suma's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I had a quick look at doing so, but i think the sata / raid is causing an issue. I need to sit down and have a fiddle with it. hi, why would the sata/raid prevent you from doing this if you already considered it? just make sure you get all the xp drivers for your hardware and from the chipset driver package extract the plain sata/ide/raid drivers to a separate floppy. most chipsets even have their own makedisk tool for that. i just downgraded a brand new vista machine down to xp home for a m8 this way and it worked like a charm. most sata setups work out of the box with any sp2-patched xp install disk. some rare chipsets and most raid setups just need the floppy disk and require pressing f6 during the inital boot. anyway, sounds like im lucky or something since i run xp+vista on a dualboot machine and i can play arma on either os (nforce 570sli, 8800gts running xp home sp2 and vista home premium 32bit with the microsoft hotixes and latest nvidia drivers) like i said i havn't really looked into it yet, but thanks for the pointers. I only have XP without SP2, I'll see how it goes. -
Cool! Can't wait. You know what might be interesting? If you could call in friendly troops, for a fee of points. Racs wouldn't be as good as US troops, who in turn would not be as good as Spec ops. An AI group of friendlys could be inserted x meters away from a hostile town and proceed with a S&D waypoint towards the centre of the town...(after a while, they could be extracted, or simply deleted) just a thought. What do you think?

LOL! Isn't tere a shilka though?

I wouldnt worry about that mate, I think that more than 99% of troops in the US army are unable to respawn after death! So how is that "being realistic for Evolution play" ? Also is this new version on the Jolt server yet?

Nice, thanks for th update.

Looks good, maybe a little too beat up or dirty... ...no, forget it. Â It looks great. [EDIT] Ambulance too?

Hotfix for Vista related to out of memory errors

You can't actually install XP over the top of Vista. A newer OS wont allow you to overwrite with older boot files. You could try a dual boot, but that is a pain as you need to partition, format the partition, install from CD. Then insert the Vista DVD and run 'Bootsect.exe' to replace the 'old' XP files to allow the dual boot (if you don't do this bit you can only boot into XP). Or you’d have to wipe the whole lot and start again. That’s what i think I might try... -

Nice cheers fella. Â I'll let you all know how it goes... [EDIT] sorry to be a tool, but what does this -maxmem do? I take it goes on the end of your shortcut right? Well, I didt it. But nothing seems any different at all. never mind eh? no harm done. -
...you don't spawn on the runway. You spawn in front of the terminal building and respawn in the barracks, don't you?

I did read that there is a new patch on the way. Fixes quite few issues, but i can't remember where i read it now...D'oh!

Amongst other things it also fixes the Motor bike instant death in mulitplayer! if it works, could we please see bikes in Evo version 4.0? Please??

Sickboy, Thanks. I had a look at the thread you pointed out, but it seems to be for nVidia as well as Vista Do you know if there is an ATI fix too? Or if i run the Vista Fix, will it still work?
