A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment Public Release!
silent_64 replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
So I just played it in MP today - had a few problems. The most annoying bit was that the medical system didn't work. We were to guys playing, and it was always my buddy who got examined, even when he was trying to examine me. That meant he couldn't treat me, so I would bleed out. He also couldn't use the NV auto adjust unless he was close to me. What am I missing? -
I've just been hugging these for no real reason. Dunno why I wanted to make an Aussie retexture, but I figured I might as well put it out there. Picture 1 Picture 2 Also contains a more normal looking Aussie bloke Download here Mirror 1 Mirror 2

Awesome work, but I couldn't get the cargo scripts to work with the 90 and 110 Landies, worked fine with the WMIKs but I just got unsupported vehicle with the other Landies.

Reinstall, error looks to becaused by the pbo file. O which is a pbo file from the resistance upgrade.
-
Vixer, one of the truly valued members of the comunity, you say that these infantry may not be the best, I have complete confidence in Vixers skill that by the time he's done with these they will be amongst some of the best.
-
The pbo goes into the addon folder in OFP and the unwar_testgrass2.noe goes into your User -> Your name -> Missions folder, or something along those lines, then you will find a mission named unwar testgrass in the editor when you open novgova

Hahahaahah, sorry, can't help laughing about that whole STGN joke, I was just thinking that as I read the post. Great Nemesis6, can't say I've been looking forward to this but it should be good fun to see some of the OFP terms translated. Just one thing no direct translations, like the once we see on TV.

What detail? Maybe they are a little dark, nothing I can do about that, I even added brightness in Photoshop. Either turn up the brightness on your monitor or wait untill next time, nothing more I can do.
-
I am sorry, did you only load one picture, I have no trouble seeing the soldiers the pictures, there's one siluette picture yes, but only one

*Feels the pain* I'm so sorry, here's what I promised Enjoy, these units simply rocks

About the Deltas, I don't hope Pathy minds me posting abit of extra information. The Deltas are the result of many many hours of work, and you can look forward to them. They will feature enough weapons to supply a small army with diffrent loadouts and set-ups. The last I heard from Pathy was that he was prepearing a Special Forces Weapon Pack, but you never know with him, it could have changed by now. It will included, Earls M4's retextured by pathy himself, and C8 and C7's just to add to the varity Currently we're fixing a few bugs, we've also gotten some profesional feedback on them so we're takeing steps to makeing them even more realistic. Further more, I would like to tell you of all the wonderfull revolutionary features the deltas will have, but I can't, not now anyway, it's still a work in progress. I would like to tell you all about the things we have planed but I can't you can just sit back and remember, we have these blokes on your harddrives And if you should wonder, yes I was bored and I need to post. I will do my Nightstalker duty and post some pictures tomorrow.

Nasty Class 80' Vietnam PTF Boat
silent_64 replied to Pappy Boyington's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I'm getting an error <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">|_browning setpos [_posx,_posy,_posz]|#|':Error Type Any, expected number -
It could be possible. Well everything you do is STOTAT, but back on topic. I don't think we should se our sights on helicopters or planes simply becouse of the speed they move at, the cpu useage qould be to intensive if you want the gunner to say onboard. As it has been shown everything is posible in OFP, it's just how big a machine you have.

Yes a really good idea. I'm working on the cargo  for transportation, however the method of getting up and down movement relies on cargo proxies to calculate this, and causes other problems. At the moment I'm not working towards this as the boats are primarily test weapons platforms, although it would be nice to do this but will add more time that I dont really have at the moment. My biggest problem is that my scripting knowledge is ok, but has limits. When the boats are released I would hope that someone out there will be able to refine them even further. Optimisation will be the key to making these universally acceptable to most users. In the meantime I am working on the lower view lods and fire geo lods. Klink, if you can't do it, no one can. You are probably the record holder for most engine limitations broken for any single addon maker. As always, we are looking forward to the Falklands War mod, but your personal work makes the wait a bit shorter. I reckon we should all make a dedicated Col. Klink day, to honor this man and his complete dedication to the comunity. It isn't just like he's everyother addon maker, this man makes the imposible posible. Klink you have my deepest respect and admiration. Plus two thumbs up for your breath takeing work.

The map is realy good, there's a nice swamp just north of the airport. But none the less - I think it sounds like a very nice idea to add an old fort, you could edit it off the old bis castle, as long as you give them credit and change it there isn't any problems is there? Anyway, keep up the good work!

Are we intel owners forced to buy new motherboard
silent_64 replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in OFFTOPIC
Well I have to say that I've gone for 64 bit cpu, I've just bought a FX-53 together with a Asus SK8V Motherboard, I'm getting entirely new system, and from my perspective Intel is just to slow, the P4EE is even having trouble keeping up now and Presscot is a huge failure it shows potentiel but so far it's just not fast enough. I think that if Intel isn't going to do some big soon AMD is going to dominate the market from low to high-end. And AMD has said that they are turning their focus back to the low-end market, and with the FX-55 and 939 socket, Intel is in trouble. AMD all the way  -
Yeah, me and one of my mates used the old version for mp, but it doesn't take long before the lag makes the map unplayable, please do what you can to reduce the lag But the map is great and full of detail. Great simply great.

Downloading, I just saw the "history" of it and I rembember it. Anyway I looks great, can't wait to try it.
