  1. Well, more like we're not testing for 3rd party mod compatibility, and things that potentially modify cwr2 behaviour is the first thing you want to eliminate in the troubleshooting process. The first step is to send the bug back to the user asking him to try without other mods, and that's a waste of time.

    I really think you should be more concerned with your own behaviour. Coming into a mod maker's thread and bashing people who like the addon certainly is doing Icewindo no favours. If you think there is more value in an honest and detailed critique, by all means, go ahead. Icewindo will decide whether or not he agrees. Continue to bash other members and I promise you it will only end poorly for you, and who will give addon makers the feedback they need then?

    I was just wondering of it BI had conjured some limit on the DX11 side, or if perhaps it was a file format limit, or something to do with the tools. Hopefully the next version of O2 will not be limited in this way... although, I think it forces good real time modelling practices.

  10. Do you mean when using the helicopter optics or when seated in the helicopter? I do not believe the hind has night vision in real life. They used parachute flares to mark night targets in Afghanistan.

    Max's obj exporter is also quite excellent. I've found that .3ds files can have some funky triangulation issues.

  21. Yeah. At least formerly, the zoom function was part of the simulation. The zoomed in view is about what you would see if you had a window into the world the size of your monitor screen, at the same distance from your face as the monitor. This view is very restrictive, so you have the zoomed out view to help you navigate in the game world. Essentially you have a zoomed out view to simulate your nominal visual acuity, and a zoomed in view to make up for the shortcomings of that view. Now maybe they figure the size of monitors is larger, or maybe they reduced the zoom for game play purposes.

    To release altered objects someone else made you require permission. Note: you also require permission to alter them in the first place. Certain things are released under a license that gives you permission from the start, like the A1 example models, but also note that the license for those models requires that you make your altered addons available for others to alter if they so choose.
  23. I would hazard to guess that they reduced it slightly because the average size of monitors is bigger than when they first decided on what the 'un-zoomed' zoom level should be. Apparently you're not really zooming in so much as you are un-zooming out.
  24. In the CWR2 demo, the cobra would eat the tanks alive. I wonder if there have been weapon config changes.
