    Hi everybody. I just tried to dl the Happy Warrior campaign but wasn't able to, because I was requested a username and a password. Is there any chance to dl it somewhere else? BTW I'm using DAP to dl, maybe it's not working for this reason. I just wanted to suggest another nice Sp mission, it's an old one but worth playing it. SP mission: 10th Air Cav. Author: Cumboy Description: You're supposed to clean a town held by russian forces after Helo insertion. Smart enemy placement. You gotta be very carefull. No Addons needed. It's a real pitty that only few people post in this thread, but as General Barron already said noone's playing missions anymore, because most members of the community are to busy with creating their own stuff. http://opflashpoint.org

    Hi MATRA! We are very glad about all the positive response we get. We were also quite surprised that you used the FFUR mod to play our campaign and that you had only in "RECON" problems. We designed our campaign with only BIS original stuff to avoid problems with incompatibility. Second the filesize is already huge. If we would have used all the newest addons, the filesize of this campaign would have been really to heavy to download. We think that there are still lots of people who don't have a fast internet connection and for those guys our campaign might be already to heavy to download just the way it is right now. Anyway we're glad you had some fun. Stay tuned mate

    Hi PopUpTarget! Sorry for replying late but I just got back from work. It's a real pitty that you can't play it smoothly. It was very frustating for me when I had lag problems playing OFP, since the enemy in our campaign is smart and very tough. It might be impossible to get through the end in this conditions and I guess it's no fun playing OFP when suffering lags. Thanks for commenting anyway. Stay tuned! Â Â

    Hi Matra ! Sorry couldn't reply earlier. Our congratulations. You finally made it. Saw that you did a massacre in Escape. Did both your buddies of misfortune also survive? Â The 20 hours are the effective campaign gameplay time, not counting the retries after being killed. Well the guy who plays the bass on the track in the credits is German and his name is Guido Block a friend of ours. but he had nothing to do with the making of TYTD and OFP. Cheers MATRA

    Hi MATRA! I know exactly what you mean. This was a real tough nut for me to crack when TOY passed me "ESCAPE" for a first test play. I went sometimes nuts because in the beginning I'd been killed a thousand times. IMO it's the hardest mission in our campaign. So we decided to enclose a strategic guide in version 0.2, just in case if someone gets stuck and can't proceed. we're still fixing some things and we think that we need to update our campaign to version 0.3, with the hope that this time it will be really the last one. We made also a stupid mistake in vers.0.2. And this bugs us quite heavily after all the work we did, we really want it to be perfect. It's really impossible to foresee every bug that could occur. We are also aware that some of you guys might get disappointed for having to download this one again, due to the heavy filesize. If you don't want to wait for the new update. Just post me and I will send the strategic guide to you so you don't have to download it again. In any case do you encountered any bugs while playing TYTD? It's really important to us.     Hi void_false! We are glad that you appreciate our campaign. [Why dont you use stringtable at all? There's always slight delay between what character say and what is written.] We were unware of this aspect, at least I was. Does the missing of the Stringtable.csv have a negative effect on the gameplay? Well if it's only a slight delay, Â it's a thing we can live with, if it would cause the display of text completly out of syncronization, well in that case we would have to fix it for sure. [Although it is antirussian plot. . .] First of all we used an antirussian plot because we both don't speak russian. A former work collegue of mine is russian and I asked him If he could do some voice acting for us when the campaign was still at the beginning, but then I changed job and he did too, and I simply lost his tracks. So we had to arrange ourselves. Second I don't know if I'm that good with imitating english with a russian accent (I'm not that good with the american accent either). It's not that we're considering the russians as the bad guys and the americans as the good ones. Since we used lots of speech and radio inside our campaign, I think it was more or less an instinctive decision we made, I guess. By the way, since you told us about the problems with the titles, Toy and me are checking everything, but we couldn't find anything wrong yet. We're thinking hard about what could be the reason for this. But we couldn't draw any conclusions until now, and it's a big mysterious to us. Maybe someone who's reading this topic can enlighten us how to fix it. Anyway, did you finish TYTD already? Thanks for replying, commenting and giving suggestions. Cheers!

    Thanks for replying. We're glad that at least the problems with the radio messages can be fixed. We still gotta check the titles problem yet. We never noticed it before. The next updated version hopefully will be without these bugs, We removed immedeatly all the stringtables after you posted in. Thanks once again for your input mate, it was very helpfully.     Hi Stuphor! I think we still got to update and fix a couple of things. The updated version 0.2 is not that much different from the first one, we just added some hidden objectives so they are visible in the briefing map when they're activated. We're supposed to do another update to our disappointment. But even having it beta tested there are still some improvements to do that we didn't foresee. I don't think that you'll solve the problems you encountered with the updated version. I just took a look at the Y2K3mod so now I got some information what's it all about. Well just let us know if you're able to play it with the Y2K3 mod. without problems. If the problems persist than try it with the OFP standard version.     Hi Stuphor! It's first time we hear someone using a mod playing our campaign.We think it has to do something with using the Y2K3mod. We never used a mod to play our campaign and we don't know much about the Y2K3 mod. I had always troubles using modifications, and it was always pretty annoying for me due to all error messages that appeared when using a mod. That was one of the reasons why we didn't use third party addons or a mod version. Do you use a sepperate mod folder with a shortcut when using Y2K3? For beeing honest we really don't know how to help you in this case. The only suggestion we can give you is try to play it in the OFP standard version and I'm pretty sure it won't crash anymore. Â

    Hi void_false. Thanks for making us notice all this and sending bug reports. We realize right now that there are still some things to correct, and we appreciate all your comments, because it permits us to fix these things. Even we tried to prevent all things and make everything fully functionable there are always something that we never thought of. Well you were the first one who told us about the radio messages. We think that it might have to do something with the stringtables in the campaign. We used Cool editor to get everything together,and in this programm the default settings when editing sound and radio are "Hello This is my..." Did you already unpboed our campaign, if so, try to remove temporarily the stringtable.csv, just to see if removing them you can fix this bug, since in our campaign only the english language is supported and no other. The problems with the titles during the cinematic and cutscenes might be due to your different settings of your screen resolution. If it's possible for you to use a resolution 1024 X 768 pixel the titles won't go beyond the screen anymore, at least we suppose so. If you want to experiment a little, these might fix the bugs you encountered. We already working on it to fix at least the radio messages. For the screen resolution it will take us weeks or even months to fix it. Anyway thanks for replying and your help. Cheers!

    Hi void_false! Man you make us really scared, this is a real bad news. We never encountered such a thing when we Beta tested it. May we ask, if you d/lded the 0.1 or 0.2 updated version?     Hi PopUpTarget! We're sorry you can't play it in a smooth way. Furtheron we don't know what your Computer specs are. There are lots of things moving in our campaign, and for this reason it is very RAM demanding. We're sorry you downloaded this heavy filesize campaign and that you're unable to play it without lags, but we advised everybody about it. Anyway once you've upgraded your system give it a try. I loved this one mostly for the great atmosphere these missions have, One of the first user missions with some voice acting. Check it out, it's real cool. Fixed link - Placebo.

    Hi Matra. You probably downloaded and played the 0.1 version We already uploaded an updated version on OFPEC. We received already some feedback and suggestions to work more on briefings and objectives. Some things we fixed in the updated version Several bugs found and fixed in "RECON". Hidden Objectives and fireffects added in "Patrol St Marie", (We updated the objectives in the briefing, now you're supposed to know exactly what to do and where to go). The same in "Invasion". Strategic Guide for "RECON" and "ESCAPE" Tactics we used to complete the missions.. Added some ingame screenshots Well when we started working on this campaign we had a certain point of view, on how it should be, playing it.We tried to create a realistic atmosphere. First mission there was no briefing because you were taken by surprise. All information you need is inside the mission via radiofiles. It seems to confuse people. The situation evolves when playing the missions. If you pay attention to some details you can find every information you need. That' s how we saw it in our first version. I must admitt that we took a slight diversion to standard mission or campaign making. We got some real low points in the overview when "Deep Coast"(MEC Finalist mission) has been reviewed on OFPEC. Because we didn't use an ingame screenshot like everybody else does. We put an odd picture with no description. We just wanted to make some different things. Now in the updated version, everything you are ordered to, is now a hidden objective and it's supposed to appear in your map.Same thing we did with mission number 2. It's not that we are unable to make good briefings. Deep Coast has a very extensive briefing.But for your disappointment in "Too Young To Die" remains one single objective "Get the hell out of there" But how you do that? You got to figure it out on your own. You're alone on Malden, noone's left, only the enemy. There's no radio contact with head quaters, no one who can help you. You are alone and lost. Try to transfer yourself in this situation.You don't know where exactly you are. The enemy is chasing on you they don't let you breathe and in all this mess you are supposed to find something you know nothing about. What would you do? Well if I give you an objective it would spoil all the atmosphere and the tension we tried to create BTW, there is one hint in the beginning of the mission. Look don't give up, retry once again because we did this mission on purpose just the way it is. We're sorry for that mate. Thanks for replying I hope you like it at this point to give it another try. BTW do you find the missions hard to complete?

    Thanks ExtracTioN. We would if we could. During the making of Too Young To Die, our social life was reduced to nothing. TOYs girlfriend will send him to hell if we start on a new thing. It took us so much time to create just this mini campaign of 7 missions, we don't dare thinking of how long it would take to make a real big one with 30 missions or so. We released this campaign because we love OFP and it's our contribution to the community. In any case we're glad you liked it, and thanks for posting. Cheers m8!

    Hi Rommel. After the attack started you receive a radiomessage from your commander to get to "Delta Outpost". And you don't have much time to do that, after a certain amount of time passed, mission failes (If you loose your bearings it's gonna be a mess). We made this on purpose you got to obey orders. Yes a soldiers life can be hard sometimes You're not supposed to go to Vigny as the major part of the retreating troops. Give it another try. Hope you like it.

    Hi Stealth3. Glad you enjoy it and it was indeed very hard work to get everything together. It took us a long time just to make it. We never had anyone who beta tested it so we appreciate any comment about stuff we could have done better. We had fun too, first creating it, and second testing it.
