    Hi Mathias thank you for having played Hammer of Thor and all the valuable feedback you have given. Yeah the tank thingy is a bad trigger setup something I did wrong here. I hope it wasn't too painful to play through. I'm sorry for all the bugs I introduced in the last update. I had just a burnout during editing that time around and my only desire was to get it done and release it. I was forcing it which in the end resulted plain wrong. I did more harm than good at least in the missions. I'm quite satisfied with all the cut-scenes . . . the missions need an overhaul and I know where I have to change things to improve it. I just need to do it. That's the difficult part. LOL:crazy_o: Once again thanks buddy. I surely appreciated your feedback. all the best. :)

Hammer of Thor -- ArmA combined operations vers. 1.3 by nettrucker addons needed: Ufficial ARMA CO --- no third party addons needed Islands: Desert - Zargabad 16 mission US SP campaign - Infantry Language English factions involved: - US army - Takistan army - Takistan Militia Featuring: - story driven SP campaign - 16 mission - different custom combat ambiance sounds - over 500 custom speech and radio files - custom soundtrack by Alchemy Divine - 16 songs - First aid modules - Intro's -- Outro's - Briefings - Debriefings WARNING: This campaign has not a realistic mission design. I designed it on purpose to be a more fun centric player experience. In case you are looking for realistic mission design this campaign might be not for you Known Issues: from time to time the AI group leader is swaying of course and is not following the given waypoints. I've tried it also with scripted waypoints with the same results. These are flaws of the Vanilla AI's path finding and I can't do very much about it because it happens random which makes it impossible to reproduce it for me. Sometimes the AI leader gets stuck for no apparent reason. The only thing which works is shooting the leader in the Arm to get him unstuck. Once he gets healed he will proceed. pay attention to not kill him or shot him in legs. Sometimes the AI doesn't get healed completely and they have to crawl then and will slow you down. Glitches of animations during the cinematics. Nothing I can do about Installation: Extract and Copy only the "Hammer of Thor" pbo in your main Arma CO campaigns folder. If you haven't one . . . create one. Only the pbo file must be copied into the campaign folder. In case you can't hear the speech and radio files clearly, please adjust your music volume until it's balanced. Changelog 1.3 - Performance improved in general - implemented over 5oo custom speech and radio files - Every Mission has his own custom title track - 16 custom songs by Alchemy Divine - Increased image size of overview pic for each mission. - Added debriefing to all missions - Missions are starting now with units already on board of their respective vehicles. - Fixed issues with Strykers causing friendly casualties during disembarking. In case there are still some friendly casualties due to AI driving it's unfortunate and I can't do much about it. But it has been definitely improved. - Player starts with Saw as default weapon during night missions. - since convoy driving is sometimes still a mess I've ungrouped all vehicles to gain more control. - Reworked all intros and outros and converted them from sqs to sqf format. - Added delete waypoint in case a friendly group accomplishes the target before your group does. - fixed seIdentity issue in players init field. - added some functions which AZCoder wrote. Reworked several briefings and links to respective markers Reworked objectives for mission 08 Fixed triggers in mission 09 and reduced units in buildings Fixed tasks in mission 1 reworked slightly missions 11-12-13-14-15 Performance optimized a bit thanks to code provided by SaOk changed some Intro's and Outro's Story: The main character is Vincent Vega, PVT 1st class - 25th mechanized Infantry Division Alpha company. Vicent's father is a carrier officer in the US Army stationed in Heidelberg Germany and married to a German woman. Vincent was born and raised in Germany. Shortly before the second Gulf war starts his family is moving back to the United States where a complete new life is waiting for him. As the 2nd gulf war breaks out his father deploys in the middle East and gets killed in action. His mother dies of heartbreak a year later. All on his own Vincent finds himself in a difficult situation, he needs to find a job to survive but fails to do so. The only choice he sees to get out of this awful situation is to join the US Army so he decides to sign up. He enlists in US Army and is going to be assigned to the 25th mechanized Infantry Division. Takistan 2012 General Hassan Jafar staged a successful coup d'etat. He removed the corrupt politicians controlled by the US from their power by force. Zargabad is under Martial Law. He managed to unite the leaders In a secret meeting and forced them to cooperate to end the occupation by the US forces. The whole country is in turmoil. Militia forces are reinforcing the Takistani Army in the fight against the foreign oppression. General Jafar supplied every man willing to fight the infedel with a weapon. 25th mechanized Infantry Division deploys to Takistan in the beginning of 2012. Vicents unit has been send in to remove the general from his powers and restore order in Zargabad. He will be part of operation "Hammer of Thor". As soon as the combat starts the harsh reality of war catches up with him. As he starts loosing his first friends during combat action he realized for the first time that war was different from how he imagined it. His unit sees major combat action and is constantly advancing onto Zargabad, the capitol of Takistan. In the process Alpha company is taking heavy casualties in combat action. Vincent looses more and more of his friends and his moral starts to drop. He realizes that he has been lucky so far, but every day could be the last one. His survival is mostly merit of their groupleader Sgt. Mike Williams a man who cares about his men under his command. In the final phase of Operation Hammer of Thor Vincents moral has reached an all time low. Most of his friends are either dead or wounded and the only thing that counts . . . is to survive. I intended to create this campaign with the thought in mind, that the player is only a small part in a big fighting force. The mission design is on purpose. You don't have to take care of every mission objective on your own. In case other squads fail in their attempt to succeed the mision objective then you should intervene. There is no teamswitch available . . . live with it. There is no weapons choice in the briefing, since you are not in command. Not withstanding several requests from players I decided to leave it as it is. You start with what you're given and you end up with whatever you can scrounge. The campaign is infantry based it is not intended to be realistic, it should be fun to play. So you are not a superhuman special force soldier, You are a simple machinegunner in a mechanized Infantry division. I tried to recreate the feeling of a huge conflict where the player is just a single soldier doing his part in the ongoing war. This campaign has a plot which evolves. Intro and outros are an important part of this campaign. The campaign is quite easy and not to challenging, forces are mostly balanced. Progress on the campaign was extremely slow due to RL issues and my destracted nature when it comes to ArmA. The modding community is hyperactive.   3. You need to synchronize F5 the first heli waypoint with the radio trigger. Trigger activated by radio alpha must be set to switch. Now in case the player uses the radio command only then the heli will move to its position. Make sure the radio trigger is set to switch when you synchronize it to the waypoint. This will work only in case the player is team leader. Hope that helps. cheers

Thanks for all your feedback. @dovemann I need to research what was the last non steam beta patch I have no clue which one it was. @ Mathias Thanks for your constant feedback. It helped me to understand where the missions need to be checked. There is still a huge amount of work to be done. @ sbg Hello my friend. First of all I have to apologize to you, for not having you contacted for the voice acting. During the update OFPEC was down and I wasn't sure if you had the time to do voice overs. My bad and I'm really sorry for that. I assumed you were too busy . . . wrong assumption on my side. I should have contacted you but I can't give you a valid explanation why I did not. If you are willing to help with some other missions of mine that would be great. I did some damage during the last update. Especially the overlaying text. That was introduced in 1.3. I can't explain what went wrong there. My rpt doesn't give any clues in regards. I'm using normally the description ext for all text messages but after the update some of them didn't work and never showed on my screen so I found a workaround. It is obvious that this problem was something on my side because the overlaying text is the proof. I gotta look into that. 1st mission Concerning steam I don't want to go into that. It is not an issue to me. I've made up my mind and it won't change. . . I don't buy from companies with that kind of license agreement. That's it. It is my own choice. There are so many things that can still be done in ArmA 2. So many great mods no one ever created missions for. UNSUNG 2.6 has just been released. Would like to do maybe a single player mission pack. The basics are already laid. I drop you a PM soon. all the best :D

I was trying to download the non Installer version as well but the link seems to be broken can't access the page. The video trailer is frigging awesome . . . a real masterpiece . . . simply stunning.     Hi tom yeah I have a lot of missions and unfinished campaigns. unfortunately they are not finished and therefore they are not fit for release. For being honest there is little to no stimulus, to finish them and moreover I can only edit them with the 1.62 patch which is completely outdated. I still refuse to open a steam account as I said above and it's most unlikely that I finish them soon. cheers

    Yeah that's the first thing we should be concerned about. :rolleyes: You are really a funny guy. @ Vilas I agree with most what you've said. IMO WW III will be a result due to the economic destruction of our countries. Not for those who are profiteering from it e.g the banks and the military Industrial complex. Have you ever thought how much profits would increase if Europe (NATO) was about to be dragged into a conflict?

    Hello Mathias yes of course I still appreciate your feedback. It will be helpful in case I decide to fix all the bugs I introduced in the latest version. I haven't taken a decision though in regards to it. For the rest I've got a huge amount of unfinished missions on my hard drive. Some are in a pretty advanced state others have only a basic setup. Just to give you an idea about some unfinished campaigns which are WIP 1.) Dark Ages - 17 mission campaign Terrain - Quesh Kibrul Addons used - DAC - Quesh Kibrul status: 80% done 2.) Silent Corps - 16 missions Terrain - Tora Bora Addons used - DAC - BAF status: 70 % done 3.) Valley of death - over 28 missions Terrain - Namalsk Addons used - can't recall at the moment would have to take a look - Namalsk Status: 50% done 4.) Operation Starlite - 8 missions RWO project Terrain - Razoreniya Addons used - UNSUNG MOD - Razoreniya Status : 40% done 5.) SP Mission pack - 10 missions Terrain - All UNSUNG terrains Addons used. UNSUNG Mod Status : 50% done 6) Campaign with no name - 8 missions Terrain - Thirsk Winter Addons used - Kuki's winter camo - Kutznetsov and some others I can't recall right now. There are over 50 basic single missions all WIP. These are just the results from me fooling around in the editor since ArmA 2 has been released. Who knows I might be that crazy to finish some of them especially the more advanced ones. LOL cheers :)

    Well seems that the US is convinced they could win WW III by a preemptive strike . . . so no the principle of M.A.D. is not necessarily hold true anymore. IMHO the Bankers and the Industrial Military complex are itching for war because they are the ones that gain from it the most. Watch the American Politicians Senate, Congress . . . the most part of them are warmongers because they do the bidding to their masters. The US and Nato are constantly violating International law. The propaganda machine is in full swing on both sides and it's up to us to figure out who is lying and who not. You can't trust any politician especially not Americans. They are lying through their teeth every time they open their mouth. Wikileaks cables have proven what American diplomats think about their so called allies. IMHO WW III will start as soon as our financial system collapses, maybe even before, in order to disguise the people from the financial meltdown. So yeah I think that we have never been so close to WW III since the Cuban missile crisis in the '60's

    Hi Mathias I do not own ArmA 3, therefore it is impossible to me, to get an ArmA 3 version of the campaign. I have no intentions to buy it in the future. I don't support BI anymore. The main reason is Steam though. I don't make business with companies like Steam due to their license agreement period. Worst thing is that I'm also unable to update my ArmA CO to the latest patch. There is no 1.63 no Steam patch so that's it. I'm also quite unsure if it's really worth to go through the hassle to improve it further when 1.63 might break some things. I will be stuck with 1.62 patch forever. Bi devs have confirmed that there won't be a patch for non steam users. Furthermore I very much dislike when things are being shown down my throat . . . like being forced to open a steam account. I know what's the reasoning behind it and I don't care too much for being honest. One good thing that I see in Steam is that I don't waste my money anymore on games that might be interesting to me. Steam is growing and they are getting bigger and bigger. More and more games require a Steam account which I don't buy. So there is definitely a benefit for me in terms of saving money. LOL;) Well I'm pretty much done with ArmA. I have still a lot of good games that I never really played due to RL issues and ArmA I guess it's time to dedicate my attention to some other stuff.     Hi Mathias There won't be any ArmA 3 version. If I ever overhaul it it will be done in the outdated official version of Arma CO 1.62. I can't upgrade further than that. :)

    Yes definitely yes. I have games I never played or maybe started and than uninstalled them. OFP-Arma kept me more busy than any other game. I found other games most of the time restrictive and I missed the freedom I had in the BI franchise. Thanks to Steam I'm off the hook. Yeah Steam is the greatest invention after sliced bread . . .     I followed the story of Rick Simpson at the time. There's a video . . . a documentary called "Run from the cure". I wish I had known before some of the things. Google the documentary it's worth a watch. Moreover I'm convinced that there are millions of other things, which could have changed the world for better, have been suppressed for private interests.

    It was a boring tactical final. No one opened up. If somebody would have scored early on . . . the game would have been lot more interesting. It was time for Germany to win after all the past editions were they came really close but then never made it. Great gol by the Germans.

    Hi AZCoder Let me ask you a question? how many month of work and effort have you invested in DT since you started with the project? If it is really only a matter of few more month than you should finish it and conclude your ArmA CO tour of duty in honor by a releasing a worthy AZCoder campaign. Now given your difficulties with patch 1.63 I can only advice to roll back to 1.62 and finish your campaign. After that you will have still a lot of time to switch over to ArmA 3. Now you might ask yourself what you would gain. My 2 cents on that - First if you finish this your time wasn't wasted. I know that you have already invested a lot of time working on this project . . . now no good use of time is when you can't finish the project . . . I would say it's a complete waste of time. - You are paying homage to one of the Veteran modding groups the CSLA MOD team by using their mod in your campaign and some other mod or terrain makers. It's the only thing they can get back from the community if people are making campaigns with the stuff they create. People are more likely to use a couple of Mods in a campaign rather than a single missions. A single mission won't make a difference. I thought you had created the plot somehow around the CSLA mod so what's the point in trying to use the overall story which was originally tailored for the CSLA mod. You are not suffering from lack of ideas you should start something fresh from scratch instead of recycling it. In any case it's up to you . . . you know I'm speaking always my mind. :)
