    How did 1.60 supposedly drop the "precisionEnemy parameter". I still see it within my A2/OA Profile file (and can adjust it). Does it simply not have any impact after 1.60?

I'm noticing in many towns most buildings you can't go inside them (which somewhat sucks).....However, what happens when you place a guy inside a building during set up / editor and give them a "guard" order? Will they be placed inside the building (but with no ability to exit).....Will they be placed directly outside and just guard it?
  4. Not many reviews on the 590 series drivers for Nvidia yet (other than bad ones). Is anyone using the newest drivers and have them working well??

  6. I have a new Alienware system - A2/OA runs great performance wise - Yet, I've never been able to see any rain or snow while playing - I hear it rain but doesn't show up? I have latest NVIDIA drivers (have used several versions). I'm running a GTX 590 video card. Any simple tricks or things I may be missing?
  7. Anyone having any good reviews with latest Nvidia Driver 295 series? I currently have 285.63 but I'm having an issue that my Nvidia Control Panel won't open....so I may look to upgrade to latest drivers (but have heard some bad reviews). I'm running an GTX 590 card. Also, what is Z-fighting I've heard mentioned above??
  8. really enjoy this mod - Very helpful - Dumb question but just to clearify, with the skill ratigns 0-1 (1 is always the best, correct). Was just curious when it comes to "aiming speed". If perhaps the lower the number meant the quicker (in real time). Likely not, but just wanted to understand for sure that 1.0 ratings are always the best....
  9. Liking this addon quite a bit since getting it installed and running - Works great for tweaking specifics for OPFOR units..... I have also learned or it appears that if you do give in your default skill level slider that comes with A2/OA (within the editor). If you do slide a unit all the way to full, all his subset skill levels do show up as 1.0 within this enhanced slider mod - I was under the impression that, that wasn't necessarily the case. That other factors also have influence. But it does let me know that if you give your BLUFOR units a full skill rating within the default editor all their subset skill ratings (such as aiming, courage, generalship, reloading, etc) are all at a 1.0 (full as well).

    Thanks for the info - I wasn't sure if I had to create the UserConfig file on my own (or if there already should have been one). That is where I was confused. So I simply create a folder named "userconfig" and place the asr_ai hpp file within it..... Thanks...

    I understand how to install my @ASR_AI folder (into my main C:ARMA2) - But where do I exactly place my USERCONFIG folder - Which has the asr_ai_settings (HPP File). Does this go within my created mission file? (for each created mission) or does it go in its own @mod file? Thanks Also if I edit my userconfig file (asr_ai_settings file). How do I save it? As a text file? Can I do this in notepad?

I've been away from A2/OA for a little while - Since patch 1.6 came out - Just getting back into it - With all the AI tweaks / increases since 1.60 patch.....I'm wondering which Mod to install - Basically I play SP - I want the ability to increase my BLUFOR AI teammates overall AI (as well as tweak enemy AI, of course). Can someone give me advice, which is easier to use for this - This Enhanced Skill Slider Mod or ASR_AI Skill settign Mod. Thanks for the advice...

    ASR AI Skills

    Just getting back into ARMA 2 / OA - Have been away for about 6 months - Really want to learn how to use this mod / addon - But I"m confused as to how to use it (tweak it for my units). I understand how to install an addon Mod - but from there with this I'm confused - I mainly play SP - If I install this and create missions is it automatically running or do I need to place a file/s into my mission folder each and every time? How do I know what are the skill settings for my (Blue) AI teammates? I mainly use Tier-1 units (where does their skill ratings fall under within ASR AI skill ratings? Is it under the class level_1 { // sf 1 ?? Thanks for any help on a walk through on how to get started....

    RH M14 pack 1.0 for OA / CO

    Is there an updated version of this Mod. At Armaholic I see there is a 1.0 version to DL - However, above there was a link for an updated version (correcting some glitches with soliders arms/hands on some weapons). But the link does not work. Just wondering if the 1.0 version Armaholic has is the lastest or if there is a 1.1 Thanks

  16. Can someone explain to me what this effects under the options section. Called Aming deadzone, I believe. I've recently purchased a new mouse and now my aiming abilities have gone to shit. Bought a wireless mouse, logitech, $50, so not a top of the line but not cheap either..... but my control now is all to sh*t. I've tried tweaking mouse sensetitivty.....but I'm also wondering about aiming deadzone option.

    Can someone explan this new option to me?? FXAA Anti-Aliasing mode - Where do I find it? I don't see it within the video options......Does it fall under my own video card option (within Nvidia control panel).
  18. Dumb quesiton....I feel brain dead tonight - Do I place the 1.60exe file INTO my main C:\A2 folder and then double click it?? Or do I run it from my desktop and extract it from there?

    I was not aware of this? Is BIS looking to have this fixed? I do know friendly AI is awful at most times with firing accuracy. Absurdly so at times...
  20. Map is fantastic...... Though while I get good fram rates....it seems to hit the hell out of my GTX 590 more so than other maps.... Has me hitting close to 90c's ....where most other maps I'm in the high 70cs...

When using UPSON on the Tora Bora map - I routinely get all my OPFOR units ending up in the same place amongst one another - I have Zones say 800 X 800.....and yet I often stumble into large groups together - These groups are placed on the map, seperate from one another with (random) in their placement.... I have found this quite often....It seems the AI all tend to gather and patrol together. Not exactly what I'm looking for...
  22. I run a GTX 590, the only flashing I have.....is when launching a mission. Right during the launch phase, before you start up (recieving information/data)...I 50% of the time get the black and white screen flashes.....but once the mission is loaded all is well and the game runs great. All settings on high (except I set visual distance to lower, no need to see that far away). I'm running the latest WHQL 285.XX drivers..

    @Robalo - Thanks much - I think I get it. So for my 4-Man unit (which are the Tier One, addons), I could simply name my other members SEAL1, SEAL2, SEAL3 - From there, within my UserConfig folder (which should be placed with my MAIN A2 folder, C:Programfiles/Bohemia/A2 folder .....Not my, MYDocuments/A2 folder...correct?). But within my UserConfig folder, I simply scroll down to..."asr_ai_sys_aiskill_sets =" and put the following /* 0 (perfect) */ ["SEAL1","SEAL2","SEAL3"] ["aimingAccuracy",[1.00,0.00],"aimingShake",[1.00,0.00],"aimingSpeed",[1.00,0.00],"spotDistance",[1.00,0.00],"spotTime",[1.00,0.00],"general",[1.00,0.00]], Do I have it correct? Thanks again.

    Question - Say I wanted to make all of my BluFor 4 man unit as good as could be when using ASR AI - What would I need to tweak to make this so? I see in the UserConfig folder that comes with the Download a skill ratings for asr_ai_sys_aiskill_sets = [ /* 0 (perfect) */ ["aimingAccuracy",[1.00,0.00],"aimingShake",[1.00,0.00],"aimingSpeed",[1.00,0.00],"spotDistance",[1.00,0.00],"spotTime",[1.00,0.00],"general",[1.00,0.00]], But how would I make certain all my 4 man AI teammembers were rated as the above? I'm really looking forward to using this excellent addon....I'm just confused with how to edit (and what exactly to edit). Figure if I start with something small, like my 4 man unit specifically...learn from there it would be very helpful.... Also do I need a PBO program to do an editing or is notepad alone fine?
  25. When your solider has sun glasses I think there should be much less sun glare than there currently is - How it is now, it is like you don't have any sun glasses on -
