Crap Crap Crap. I come home from vacation and I have ArmA 2 all loaded up: I defragged my rig. Cleared all unnecessary items off my PC. Installed. Patched. & defragged again... Ran the game on low settings, crashed. Ran the game on Medium/Normal settings, crashed. High, Crashed, Highest, beautiful crash. - Core Duo 2 -E6840 Gigabyte P35 ® Mobo. 1gb OCZ 1600 DDR2 (Platinum, my other gig is bad, pos OCZ, never buying that sh*t again - I'll probably buy 4 gb soon.) BFG 8800GTS 640mb I can run basically any other game without a damn issue, ArmA 2 is crashing like mad on me...Any recommendations? ---------- Post added at 10:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 PM ---------- Faulting application arma2.exe, version 1.2.0.58134, faulting module arma2.exe, version 1.2.0.58134, fault address 0x0054b367. This is what its telling me in the event viewer.

I am getting some odd crashing still, have a huge rpt file to mark it up with.

No...No...

Yeah, we'll see what happens, I am going to run some tests. :|

Oh, I know I need 2 or more gb of Ram...But in this dire time (i.e. waiting) I doubt 2gb will remedy random CTD/lockup crashes that shut my monitor off. I was thinking of getting Windows 7rc Ultimate, but why do I need to change everything to remedy it? I should be able to run this on Normal Settings without hassle.

Do you have any black metal faces? Like Mayhem corpse paint, or anything like Gorgorath or something.... Corpse paint seems to be bad ass...For me...

Amazing thread.

On a lighter note: Great WIP's, very detailed and I cannot wait to use these in game. Will you be making them for conversion as well?

WIPMAN: First and foremost, last night I was playing this bad boy, insane how nice the short barreled M4' is....I really enjoy it for reflexive stuff...Thank you very much.

I keep getting the BSOD with my system on normal settings (Default card settings and low settings to test with). I also get complete lock ups... My system: Pentium e6850 cd2 (3.0) SB Audigy 2 ZS (platinum) 2.0GB of OCZ Ram (dual chan ddr platinum) 75gb hdd (raptor) Gigabyte Mobo... BFG 8800GTS 640mb vga... Now explain to me why!!! Is it the sound card?

This is starting to become my number one gripe about this game: My system is friggen awesome, can run Crysis on High with little trouble, and still I have issues with ArmA on all High Settings @ 3500+/-m settings!! I checked for memory dumps, and from it looks like, I get pretty much the same error, I don't know what the I/O error could be, but it must be something to do with processing via GPU or god only knows...Next time it happens I'll be sure to post a copy/paste of it. Nonetheless, for those who have a BFG 8800 GTS 640mb version Video card, and figured a way to remedy the gfx issue, can you please help a fellow arma addict out? Thank you, Enven

Serb paramilitary fighters v1.0
enven replied to EUROFIGHTERX's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Wow, unbelievable.....Remove this thread already, "Terrorists" this is really offensive. -
Thats a real shame, I wish there was a dump log of all the errors that happen, I want to know if its a buffer issue, or some sort of memory leak, it just doesn't compute in my mind these infernal issues persisting, I have played Crysis and other games on full load and never had a CTD...This game is great, and I feel that my groin has been literally dessimated by Nvidia and bis' proverbial bppt.
-
Can someone explain the significance of MAXMEM? I have the new beta drivers for Nvidia, and my CTD's are a tad minimal than before...I don't know the issue involved...but I'd like to know if Maxmem @ 768 works better with it? Why not 1.5gb?
-
Pretty ticked about my CTD's lately.
-
Wipman, Can you make an assface with balls on it? Similar to that character in south park, how funny would that be to do that.
