    New expansion?

Damn just bought Reinforcements and they are going to release another DLC ? :butbut: I don't see BIS releasing another huge expansion like OA while Arma3 is planned to be released in a year..

Steamworks, add it in or not?

I own around 130 games on Steam, so I do like this platform. Yet, I kind of agree with Celery and kylania opinions, hence why I bought all my BIS games on retail. I don't see how Steamworks features could benefit Arma3. The really good thing with Steam is that well it saves room, you have no download limit for you games and they never get old like when I broke my OFP CD "bought july 2001" about 3 or 4 years ago, while I had a urge to reinstall it. Wouldn't matter if I had it on Steam.. So now the broken CD rests in its box alongside its 7 brothers.. :butbut:

    Arma 3 content

I'm against for several reasons. Arma3 looks very ambitious to me, it would be a huge load of work to port old contents nobody but fanboys may buy. I'm all against DLC, I bought Reinforcement though and honestly it's not very good. Same goes with small expansions such as Red Hammer or Queen's Gambit which don't bring much to the game but can unnecessarly split the community. I would rather want BIS to focus on solid and innovative expansions the way Resistance was to OFP and OA is to Arma2. To me few but great quality contents is way better than a shit load of outdated and poorly detailed contents from previous games. So I think it's a terrible idea. I may add that the only reason OFP and his addons get to be ported by the community on Arma2 is because of the great solo experience they have to offer, which is definitely not the case with Armed Assault and Arma2.

    Ok, my bad then.

Do you want Laaagdoll Physics in ArmA 3?

Well it has been done way better, that these few samples of animations which featured BIS products since I bought OFP 10 years ago, in some games in which realism does matter.. It's just that some fanboys just don't know much about video games other than OFP and still think BF2 is the sole example of how ragdoll is done.. Seriously this pathetic discussion is pointless, you only see the same arguments over and over again while 80% think they are irrevelant considered the gain ragdoll brings to the game experience but wait those same fanboys do think they are cleverer than those 80% anyway and thus won't stop preaching their good sermon over and over again.. Seriously just give it a rest. Inb4 a 7-Feet long post of shaky arguments I already know like the back of my hand.

    PhysX

It's been said already, only some advanced effects could be reserved to Nvidia GFX cards. Most PhysX effects should be available for everyone.

    64 bit engine :-(

If you're right, and that a big "if" those people wouldn't be able to run Arma3 anyway, or even Arma2 ... X64 CPUs have been around for quite a while now.

    PhysX

Exactly. Fanboyism is something I personnaly profoundly despise. I'm not a Nvidia fan since as I usually buy the brand with the best value for money which has been ATI for quite a long time now... Still that since they are going to implement PhysX it would be retarded not to use Nvidia GPU's for hardware acceleration just so ATI fans won't whine...

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

Red Orchestra have full gore, never heard of them being sued because of that nor it is a "dumb dooom meat shooter".. You can choose the level of gore anyway. Btw wasn't "the nice sayings in OFP ... against war" actually to simulate the realities and horrors of war ?

FN 2000s for the US military?

Well it appears so... It could be worst though like when you cross Russian paratroopers jumping on US cities with their IMI Tavor TAR-21 on Coowaduty... I'm all for authenticity though, I already thought the XM8 on Arma2 was retarded, but the Commanche and US troops using the FN F2000 is even beyond.. :D

    Arma 3 Officially Announced!

Great  I wouldn't mind BIS taking their time to polish the game though even if it only get released in 2013, at least I'll have the time to save enough money to buy a new computer... :butbut:

Have you ever played Red Orchestra ? It's a very good example of how good ragdoll is if done properly.

    ARMA II Reinforcements Demo

Ok, I thought only the content needed to run both DLCs was in the DVD. :)

    ARMA II Reinforcements Demo

True, still don't get why they made it standalone though. Multiplayer-wise I mean.
  18. Anyway got it for almost 28€, pretty much the same price I bought OA. I think it's too much, couldn't care less about it being standalone. but I buy all BIS products since july 2001. I abstained from buying those DLCs and I'm glad BIS released a DVD package, but 28€ is way too expensive considering what it adds to the game... I have yet no valuable reason not to continu to support BIS though.

    J.S.R.S. 1.5

Now that I have Arma 2: reinforcements, I'll be glad to download one bigass package of pure awesomeness to play ACE like a boss.. :681:
  21. Obvious April fools' joke is obvious. Playing with the timeline was smart though, I was expecting something but this left me doubtful for about 30s... :p It's always funny to see butthurt they've been fooled people, "silly" enough to get into arguments over simple jokes though..

    DLC DVD Pack

Yeah but they charge 5£ of shipping fees, total is 23,70£ or ~28€ as for now.. Still cheaper than in France though. Apparently they dispatch it the 31 March.

    DLC DVD Pack

Pre-ordered it on Amazon.co.uk for 24£, I think it's kind of expensive but hey now that I can get a hard copy no reason not to buy it. :) Let's just hope the € is going to apprise.
  24. Same here. Paying for DLC is against my religion. I'll buy the DVD as soon as it's out though. :)
