Feint: I'm really glad you managed to synchronise the breathing to bubbles. As a diver myself, I can't wait to try this! tpw: did you ever release your "foggy breath" script? the reason is that Rube has just released an amazingly detailed weather system which sounds like it could really benefit from your script, i.e. when the temperature and humidity are low enough your script could activate?

@Enzo: it's all explained in the readme but IIRC if you want to run slx_wounds you need to run slx_netcode, slx_shout and slx_anim_death. You might also want to run slx_anim_death -

Honestly I think making a RIB any more agile that the default is fairly unrealistic. You have to remember just how heavy they are and inertia caused by the fluid mechanics of water. They're not cars.

BIS' lead developer and others beg to differ. 2GB should be fine for all single-screen resolutions up 1920x1200. -

Yes I was thinking last night that percentages would be a better way of managing the differing levels of skills between low quality (conscripts) and high trained (spec ops) units. As for deciding between client and serverside, I'd opt for the simplest, client-side! -

Many thanks for the clarification As he said, editing .cfg file is beyond the abilities and/or inclination of most mainstream gamers. And the more gamers that play OA the better for us all :p -

OA, e.g. Soak's Grim Reaper). I can also help you with your scripts too as I've got solid writing skills (teacher, journo, technical writer) and I read/write French perfectly (j'habite ici depuis 10+ ans). -

Previously I used FXAA=1 and FXAASharp=0. But now if I want to keep this, I need to change it to: PPAA=1, PPAA_Level=0, FXAA=1 and FXAASharp=0. Can someone confirm this? -

That's precisely what flashleitz is trying to say, i.e. in all likelihood it will NOT have a significant impact on your performance. If you're serious about improving your OA/A3 experience then you'd be better off putting that $100 towards an SSD or TrackIR. -

This looks awesome although I'm sad to see that it couldn't be implemented by BIS (it SO fundamental to a good gaming experience). Am I right in thinking that this is a GUI to the values store in the arma2oa.cfg file? Also, am I right in guessing that this does not significantly impact framerates? Finally, I appreciate your efforts to make this compatible with Robalo's ASR AI mod as it has become practically indispensable. -

Does this mean that, provided we run this new version of Zeus AI and the current ASR AI, we can increase skill (Friendly & Enemy) back up to their full values (0.985/0.995) without fear of the AI turning into terminators? Thanks for your advice. I've since bought a 120GB Crucial M4 SSD. I should receive it this weekend. For the best performance, should I just move C:\Windows and ..\ArmA2\ onto it? And what software can you recommend to shift all that data without panicking Windows? Acronis??

It is possible because configuring OA is not as simple pushing all the sliders to maximum. Try these settings instead. Oh and an ad in your signature? :rolleyes: -
