    Hide Road-objects in an area?

    My last idea: 1) Use the Edit Terrain Module from the Editor and give the bridge a name (for example: bridge1) 2) Go to your init.sqf: bridge1 setPosATL [getPosATL bridge1 select 0, getPosATL bridge1 select 1, (getPosATL bridge1 select 2)-100];

    Hide Road-objects in an area?

    From the wiki: Possible type names:"TREE", "SMALL TREE", "BUSH", "BUILDING", "HOUSE", "FOREST BORDER", "FOREST TRIANGLE", "FOREST SQUARE", "CHURCH", "CHAPEL", "CROSS", "BUNKER", "FORTRESS", "FOUNTAIN", "VIEW-TOWER", "LIGHTHOUSE", "QUAY", "FUELSTATION", "HOSPITAL", "FENCE", "WALL", "HIDE", "BUSSTOP", "ROAD", "FOREST", "TRANSMITTER", "STACK", "RUIN", "TOURISM", "WATERTOWER", "TRACK", "MAIN ROAD", "ROCK", "ROCKS", "POWER LINES", "RAILWAY", "POWERSOLAR", "POWERWAVE", "POWERWIND", "SHIPWRECK", "TRAIL" You could also try “house“ or “building“, saw both in your picture An other example from the wiki: nearestTerrainObjects [player, [], 50]; For you: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [[2221,2607,0], [], 500]; {_x hideObject true} foreach _roads; This one returns EVERY object in the radius of 500 meters.

    How to lock doors?

    But if you want to close all doors in a bigger area, the script i gave you is much better 🙂 Place 100 modules and set them up, why not 🙂

    Hide Road-objects in an area?

    the variable myposition is undefined 🙂 for myposition you have to get the pos of your marker, like this: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [(getmarkerpos “Road“) , ["Road"], 500]; or: _makerpos = getmarkerpos “Road“; _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [_markerpos , ["Road"], 500]; or go to the marker and take the coordinates of the marker (than you dont really need the marker any more). use this form: [x,y,z]. Example: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [[1200,2403,0], ["Road"], 500]; The word “Road“ or “Main Road“ in the script is just like a filter. The script creates an array with a list of all “Roads“ or “Main Roads“ in the range. For Example: [“street1“, “street2“, “street3“]. To the syntax: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [position, “filtertype“, radius]; Hope you understand this part now. To the second part: {_x hideObject true} foreach _roads; The _x is a “magic variable“. It takes every single Object from the array _roads and runs the script in the {} with that object.

    Hide Road-objects in an area?

    try: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [myposition, ["Road"], 50]; {_x hideObject true} foreach _roads; or: _roads = nearestTerrainObjects [myposition, ["Main Road"], 50]; {_x hideObject true} foreach _roads; try to start it with the init.sqf or with a trigger good luck

    How to lock doors?

    Maybe this works: 1) create a init.sqf and a fnc.sqf 2) type in init.sqf: [] execVm “fnc.sqf“; 3) type in fnc.sqf: fnc_lock_doors = { _pos = _this select 0; _range = _this select 1; _houses = nearestObjects [_pos, ["house"], _range]; {_x setVariable [“BIS_Disabled_Door_1“,1,true]} foreach _houses; { _x setVariable [“BIS_Disabled_Door_2“,1,true]} foreach _houses; { _x setVariable [“BIS_Disabled_Door_3“,1,true]} foreach _houses; { _x setVariable [“BIS_Disabled_Door_4“,1,true]} foreach _houses; //and so on.. }; 4) Whenever you want to use the lock script use this: //[position,range] call fnc_lock_doors;\\ for example: [[100,200,0], 300] call fnc_lock_doors; Maybe it works, idk.. had no time to test it
  8. @oldbear Which Cpu/Ram do you use? Do you think there is a difference btw 4gb and 8gb?
  9. The big difference also in ArmA? A lot of people say, the gpu isnt that important
  10. One last question 🙂 I use a Rx 570 8gb OC in my current pc. Could there be a bottlneck with the r5 3600 in ArmA or is this gpu good enough? Is there a big differnce between the Rx570 and (for example) a 1080? --> i saw a yt video with a huge performance difference btw the 1050 and the 1080 (in sp ca 80fps).
  11. @Groove_C which mainboard would you recommend for the r5 3600? The new mainboards are really expensive... What performs better? i5 or r5? Userbenchmark shows a slightly better sc performance with the i5 and arma runs better with intel?!
  12. @Groove_C I play mainly Arma (sometimes older games) and don't use any productivity programs 🙂 older games = something like Titan Quest
  13. Setup: - ASRock Z390 Exterme4 Intel Z390 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail (159,85€) - 16GB G.Skill Flare X für AMD schwarz DDR4-3200 DIMM CL14 Dual Kit (142,85€) - Intel Core i5 9600K 6x 3.70GHz So.1151 WOF (219,90€) A good Setup? Whats better?
  14. Hey Community, I read this topic and was wondering about the fact that i should buy the ram with the highest clock speed and the best latency for intel. But i dont understand why i should buy ram with for example 3600mhz if my cpu supports 2666mhz. Maybe i am wrong, but isnt that useless? Wont i get better fps with 2666mhz cl 13 than 3600mhz cl16 ram for a cpu that supports 2666mhz? I am thinking about buying a i5 9600k. Which ram/mobo is the best? Thanks, Jacob
