    It’s been awhile... I just got done pushing another patch towards “The Burning Rain” if y’all wanna check it out and give me some constructive criticism that’d be extremely helpful! I’m mainly looking for feedback towards my redesigned Temperature system that utilizes a new UI that also works with Ravage ie (food / thirst) If you all wanna check it out I’d be much obliged, and especially those with some coding background, pop open the mission file and look into my code, see if I can improve upon anything. Please comment via my steam profile, or message me on here, though I’m not in the forums that often. 😊 Profile The Burning Rain I also am working towards release via Armaholic so you other scenario authors can freely enjoy my work, without having to dig through files, etc...     @mauseri77 Yes it’s doable but you’ll have to tinker and essentially add in only items you want to spawn (making a huge array, or therefore multiple arrays) but yes it’s doable. https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Arsenal#Access You should find your info under 2: Modding

    I believe I have finally done it. I just released the V1.5E patch on "The Burning Rain" and I think it's the last update. As I told some others I may just update it to keep it alive, but I don't see myself adding any more things, seeing as the file has reached a whopping 256Mb on the Steam workshop. It's crazy to believe that it's been in development for almost 3 years, removed from the workshop twice, and rebuilt and remolded multiple times from the ground up. I just feel like it's finally there, in my eyes it shows what can be done with Ravage, and others work all in one big file, and that's really what I was looking for. This isn't walking away from editing by any means, but it is a step back from my biggest project released on the workshop. What can I say? I think there comes a time where a project reaches it's maturity point and there's really just no more to do with it. I want to thank all those who have walked with me through this amazing journey, and I want to thank all those who also have become some of my closest friends. Thank you for the support, the knowledge, and the amazing growth within such an amazing, loving community. I assume Ravage will still continue to pick at my brain and give me crazy ideas, who knows? Maybe I'll pick it up again sometime in the future. But until then, it has been one hell of a ride. Cheers brothers, ~~ MRZ / TenuredCLOUD 🍻

    @ContheJon I suggest using @Vandeanson’s medical system as he has incorporated bandages into his system, and once you use a bandage with his mod it actually equips the player character with a bandage. (Badass) Cheers mate!

(no-one ever wants to play MP with me 😩😭😭) 😂😂 I’m loving all of these releases from everyone. Damn good work. I’ve been seeing quite a few newer mods hitting the workshop too, and though the Arma community isn't as popular with viewers, it sure is with modding, and with other players even new ones as of late! I recently purchased the game for a friend and he’s in love with the editor! He can’t get enough! 😂😂 I hope all has been well for everyone, nice work on the updates @haleks as always. 😉 And I see you’ve released more content on the Workshop @Gill93, keep it up!     Ahh! That would make sense why that Bandit stood there and stared at me and my friend while In a Stream. It was only a single Bandit but it was weird as hell. I asked my buddy if it was him right before I shot him with the newer shotgun.     if you’re using a corpse as the loot holder that’s possibly what’s wrong... Bangabob’s loot script uses a Barrel as a placeholder for loot being spawned in, then it deletes the barrel, and changes it to the loot that is classed from the script. I can only think of two things... 1.) You edited some portions of the code, and possibly / probably changed it to something it ISNT supposed to be (example: the placeholder to a corpse?) Or you edited so much you might of broke the script. 2.) You have an illegitimate copy of Arma 3 and somewhere some in game files are corrupted resulting in this. I’ve used Bangabob’s loot script for quite some time, never had this weird issue. When clothing is spawned via the script, it is supposed to appear folded on the ground, not show up like a mannequin is laying there wearing it. 😂😂 In truth I have no idea what is even going on here.

    VCOM DOES ruin Helicopters flight paths, so if you are using customized flight paths for helicopters, I personally wouldn’t use it. I had helicopters “freezing up” basically would just hover completely stagnant because with VCOM AI the AI have the ability to call in airstrikes and support, so it basically just would ruin their pre-placed routes. So I ended up removing VCOM Basically just watch what you add, like I’ve said earlier Arma can only handle so many things running at once.

    1.) Create a clone of your “mission.sqm” file and drag it into another folder.... 2.) Open Arma 3 with required mods, etc for your mission. 3.) Upon error popup click okay. 4.) Navigate to the upper settings in Editor... 5.) locate the “Merge” option. Click it. (Somewhere in the upper left menu) 6.) Once you are in the “Merging menu” find the mission you can no longer open and Merge it. 7.) It’s editable again. 😉 I should note this will ONLY work if you have ALL required items, and did in fact not change anything mod wise, etc... However, if the scenario’s map or something was updated and the creators of the map added in more content to it, etc... Then it WILL WORK.

    I took a look on your workshop item. It looks quite interesting... Though, from previous experiences, I should note to you before your workshop gets blown up with either negative reviews, or negative comments... Remove one or the other: “CUP pack” or the “RHS pack” I HIGHLY recommend using one or the other due to conflicting efforts of each mod when implemented into a mission. I should also note, RHS complete pack is a very, very demanding system, instead of only adding some scripted systems like CUP, RHS changes around some items, and game settings entirely (it runs a crap ton of background scripts) so you’ll need to check for constant stability for hours of gameplay. I hope this makes some sense 😂 And believe me when I say that there truly is a threshold for just how much Arma’s engine can handle.... Believe me, I’ve hit it before. (When a Mission has just too many scripts running / things going on) There’s a balancing point that you want to find. 😉 Your item looks good though, I encourage further development, and learning off of it mate.     I would add these flags to vehicles for friendly towns... Buuuutttt With the remnants of the Russian military flying around Chernarus I think it’s safe to say Friendly survivors taking a nice cruise will get blown up by those Mi-24’s. 😂😂

    No worries! I’d like someone with a tad bit more knowledge on coding to take over the “temperature system” from here on out ha ha! (I’ll check it out 😉 ) May try to add functions to my current system, but with the way things have been going that’s far away... Damn has it been a week... I started my new job, and I took my exam earlier today, and I finally got a passing score. I finally have my certification. 😁😌 (My face has been buried in books for the past couple months... 📖 🤓) As for Ravage... There is an old musical artist I think would be a good candidate for the Ravage Theme... (Gave them a listen earlier) They allow downloads and such of their music, but I figure if Haleks wants too he can send them a good word, and possibly throw in some more music in the playlist. 😉 (lots of piano, and ambient themes) As always, I hope you all are doing well.     If you need any of the weather system scripts / or would like to use them and improve on them or build off of them (icons, systems, etc...) feel free to rip them from "The Burning Rain". ***This goes for EVERYONE in this thread not just VD.*** I have Chernarus REDUX mapped pretty well with my whole re-written weather system so it should serve you pretty well if utilized, and it does work in MP. (initServer/initPlayerServer, can't remember... You'll have to play with it.) As for questions feel free to shoot a message (I don't bite much... But I may rob you in DayZ... 😉 ) If you do find yourself in need of an answer please message me on Steam, or add a comment in my profile, I changed my DisplayName to something more simpler "TenuredCLOUD" if you have the same DisplayName then just shoot me a friend request as I know most of you 🙂 The reason I'm asking to message me on Steam is I generally am NOT in the forums anymore, I still edit and what not but it is some what less frequent then the older times...     I accidentally disabled refueling all together by removing the vehicle module, but doing this also removes repairs. If you want to remove Gas stations as a source use Haleks Ravage CUP mod, as it disables some features on the CUP terrains.

    I finally started to pickup on streaming, did a quick little video on The Burning Rain, found an error and fixed it in a small hotfix. I guess while working on the 1.3V update I for some reason removed the vehicle module which removed repairs and refueling... 😬 So I quickly added them back in haha! I also, ended up surprising EO with the way my voice sounds, Haha! 😂😂 If anyone wants me to do videos on their stuff or what not feel free to send me the details (I’m trying to make this a fun new hobby, of course aside from editing 😉 ) Cheers mates!     CUP vehicle. It is odd though, the game feels a bit smoother than normal as well, unless I’ve honestly just been away from it for that long? I mean the update for all the Contact stuff was what? Over 9 Gigabytes? Like I said, been a way for awhile, so it is definitely possible I’m just imagining it... Though with Dynamic simulation across the WHOLE Chernarus Redux map, that tends to also help with performance. So, it may just be me. 😌😬👀 Cheers brother.

    Finally got around to my update on “The Burning Rain” the Newest most up to date version is now public on the workshop, no need to join the Beta. 😉 In other Arma News... This new update brought a lot of shit (Arma’s update, not mine) you now have to right click to grab items from inventories (unless this has always been a thing?) And now cars are susceptible to severe engine damage if overly revved? I was in a Lada, cruising down the coastal highway in Chernarus Redux getting to a Military location in my scenario and I had the car pinned the whole way, well... Some bandit shit went down (of course) So upon swerving off the road and getting away from them, I tried to climb up a small hill, and my guy pinned the engine to where the rev limiter kicked in, then *poof* engine status red, car locked up. Done. I was in amazement, but Also fear because I had a fairly large group of baddies roughly 350m out and I know Ravage... Those bastards will hunt you down. Had quite a good laugh at killing a car by attempting to climb a hill though... Anyhow Cheers mates. 🍻🍻

    This is Arma though, I’m used to finding a slick vehicle that’s in running order, use it for a bit, see a group of nasty bandits to my left, being completely oblivious to what lies ahead in the road... Annnnnnd now I need a dual set of front tires... And I have bandits trying to flank me now.... **Always seems to happen**^^ 😂😂😂 Or when you take that corner just a little too fast, and you roll your shit... Been there too. Good ole’ Arma never disappoints. 😉

    The only issue I’ve noticed with the “call rvg_fnc_equip” setup is and I Totally think this is due to a HUGE mission file. (The Burning Rain) But as @kodabar was testing my newer update he noticed some of the AI were spawning in their underwear, he would retry, they would spawn with gear...? I think the system isn’t grabbing it quickly enough at times, due to restrictions on usage of resources. (Possibility) Other then that and I’m not worried about the above, I can easily equip them with some random friths gear or something, no biggie. The issue could again also be from a weird array that isn’t classed right also 😂 Other than all that, I need to see the newer update, and even release my new update, cause at the moment I’m just hanging onto it... 😬 Im also currently hooked on SCUM. (It’s terribly addicting) But I’ll definitely get around to it. at some point.... 😉 I hope all has been well, not only with the mod progress, but the day to day grind. Cheers man. 🙂 🍻
