Nevermind I have fixed it, just had to change my control preset from Arma 3 Apex to just Arma 3? But it all seems to be working now. Thanks for all the support and help from the people above!

Just created another character and headed into the editor, it turns out you might be right everything was normal with this new character. But does anyone know what setting it might be so I can change it on my main character?

Just validated the game files via steam and still the problem persists

No just vanilla Arma

So I recently re-installed Arma 3 about a week ago, When I used to play it I am sure that when you access your inventory your character is supposed to be locked in position while you are in the inventory, however this does not seem to be the case for me. When in the inventory my character will move around as if I do not have the inventory open. Albiet this also seems to be happening when I access the map, the entire compass starts to spin instead of just the dial in the centre of the compass, my character also turns while moving the mouse around on the map. I have tried to fix it myself but I am out of Ideas, I hope that maybe someone in the Arma 3 community might be able to shed some light on the matter and perhaps be so kind as to supply me with a solution to my predicament.(See video for example):
