Help needed - Porting Plant from A2 to A3

I already tried to download the sample Models, but the directlink is dead, tried using torrent, but also no success... --> picture If I ask CUP and they will give me permissions, I have no clue how to do that... but I will give it try and ask them. The free model I have found looks so poor, I could not belive that this is content of a game Thanks for helping me so far, I will wait until I get answer from CUP or someone has more information for me here... -

I did not say that I will use the CUP stuff... I said: But in the meantime I stopped looking for this plant. Cause for me its not possible to open the p3d model with oxygen2, I think its binarized.... There are also some 3d modells out there, whith permission to use as you like, but I'm really not knowing how to convert a .obj or a .fbx into a .p3d... I'm stucked cause there is no tutorial out there that could help me, and in my opinion it's to much effort to learn how to modelling for just that little plant. All I could do is to hope that someone can help me out or to stop my project. -
Hi guys, i have some questions about porting a plant from Arma 2 to Arma 3. It's the "fiberplant"... What I try to do is a little Mod which is for the Mod Exile. I like to have usable drugs for more feature in roleplay aspect and it would match to the maintheme from exile --> mafia So I create a little mod with new items which are usable with the exile mod. It would be fantastic if player could harvest weed. I'm using chernarus for my server, and also I use CUP Core and Maps. It is no problem to spawn "fiberplants" with CUP, but if an admin would like to use my addon, he needs to download the big CUP mod and every of his player, only for spawning this little plant. Therefore I thought, if CUP is allowed to port this plant over to arma 3, I could do this too.... but I could not figure out how to do this. Readed probably every existing tutorial about that. The biggest problem for me is, that the tutorials are about weapons, vehicles or buildings, with animations and all this stuff, which is not really needed for a plant. Some tutorials look like to be outdated. So I would be very happy if someone could point me in the right direction, or have a link for a tutorial for modelling/porting noobs that will work.... So much effort for one little plant

I have used the searchfunction to look for a matching thread, but I couldnt find some. I think I need to say, my english is not so perfect, so my search is maybe not as exact as it should be. I'm looking for some instructions about porting Arma 2 stuff to Arma 3... Want to know, is it legal, how it works and so on.... Maybe my problem with creating a new Topic is about signing in with steam? -

I tried do open a thread like this... Click on "Create" (top of page) and navigate through all options.... Like this... Create - Topic - Select Forum ... but all Options there are greyed out, so I'm not able to choose a forum at this point. Also looking around inside the section I want to open a new thread, but there is no button for "new Topic" or something else... I start a little search about "new thread in bistudio forum" and this thread was al I could find aboiut it... Did I do the wrong steps to start a new topic in a subforum like ARMA 3 - MODELLING - (O2) ? -

Hi, great Map Dudes keep on working, nice Job.. But I have some little bugs to report. I think it is with collision from some floortexture. Have only spottet two places for now, but I think there are more....(Feldberg and Saalburg) Have made some screenshots about it, links are on the end of the post. If you walk around all is normal, no problem. Just drive in with some vehicle and there is no collision betwen the vehicle and the floortexture, you just sag down to the maplevel.... I solved this issue on the Feldberg with some concrete floors builded with the Exile mod witch I have running too.. Sorry for my bad english,because of this, here the same just in german..... _____________________________________________ Hi, das die Map großartig ist wiederhole ich jetzt nicht nochmal, aber die kleinen bugs wollte ich nochmal in deutsch verfassen, irgendwie liegt mir diese Sprache besser... Wobei englisch eigentlich nicht schwer sein kann, in Amerika zb sprechen das schon gaanz kleine Kinder.... Also die festgestellten Bugs haben irgendwie was damit zu tun, das manche Boden-Texturen keine Kollision mit Fahrzeugen haben. Ist mir nach ein paar Stunden des Testens bisher an 2 Stellen aufgefallen. 1x am großen Feldberg und 1x an der Saalburg. Man kann als Spieler wunderbar da umherlaufen oder mit dem Fahrrad rumfahren, alles ganz normal. Sobald man aber mit einem Fahrzeug auf die Fläche fährt, sinkt man ein bis zur eigentlichen Mapöberfläche. Am Feldberg habe ich das Problem behoben, in dem ich ein paar Betonteile gebaut habe, was zur Mod Exile gehört, welche u.A. auch auf dem Server läuft...
