    DirecxtX 12 for ArmA 3?

    AFAIK it potential support is same as directX. I'm not up-to-date mean i dont know how status have this project - when it will be released for sure. For me it seems more fair tot he players than DX12, but choice is for Bohemia. Users who doesnt have GPU supporting DX12 will still have stuttering and low fps (me for example) even after tweaking system, bios, and game itself it will still be laggy. THIS IS NOT FAIR FOR THOSE USERS.

    Wel, i'mnot so up to date, but this Vulkan API seems to be pretty good, and if there is so much benefits..... hmm. If any BOhemia Developer is reading this, lets write about it - is there any plans for Vulcan or DX 12?

    My card doesnt support Dx 12 - only 11.2. But if we will be able to play, then fine.

  6. Yes, This remaked campaign starts with the same video. Thats the one. Try to skip video and check with which units you will play.

    DirecxtX 12 for ArmA 3?

    My fresh buyed GPU (year ago) doesnt support DX12. Does it mean i need to buy another GPU!? I feel it : Game have better performance on DX 12, BUT game can be re-optimized on DX 11 as well. Why it uses 30-40% GPU, 40-50% one of 4 CPU cores, keeping rest of cores about 20-30% ? THIS should be reworked, no Dx-12. People who have support of DX 12 will be able to play DX 11 games, people who havent DX12 support, will not be able to play Arma 3 at all.

    Flares = Useless?

    Heat guided missles and radar are diferent. Heat is source that can be misleaded by flares. Missle is flying to heat source (on sky there is not much of them, mainly flying machines or animals - but this second are too few heat) so missle is going straight to its target, and when flares will be deployed (they are more hot in group than jet/heli) missle will "think" the flares are its target and will hit it. Radar guided missles have their own "mini-radar" and its route is corrected by the machine from where it was fired (jet or heli) , and such missle cannot be missleaded by the flares, you need some electro-magnetic "dust" to misslead it, as it is guided by radar.

    Sounds too quiet

    Doesn anybody have so quiet dialogs in campaign? I barelly can hear what they saying.... BIS have changed now something and in 1.52 we should have totally diferent method of rendering sounds (as i understnd from this): "Sound spatialization was improved. In current release sound starts to appear in opposite channels (opposite to direction to sound source) in very short distance (few meters) so it is possible to clearly specify direction of sound source in any distance. Attenuation curves, ranges and other parameters which affects volume (dynamic range respectively) are being reviewed. "

    Flares = Useless?

    it cannot disrupt the lock. Missle is getting "stupid" when when they appear - it fly to heat source, and flares in big amount are hotter than chopper (engines), so it hit flares or pass through them.

    Really? Did you even tried to complete one of official presentation? Try to pass "Combat Helicopters" presentation and tell me how you did it. There is no marked AA zones (how i would know where they are?!) and every AA misle flying from nowhere or some random position hits me. EVERY SINGE ONE! It is not normal and less realistic. My uncle was pilot of combat transport planes and he knows a little about flares, of you shoot two of them, missle can hit you, if you shoot 4 of them there is 50/50 % chance of hit, but if you use them as the game offers (spam of flares) there is no possible chance of hit (in combat chopper), that why the big transport planes use them in so much ammount.
  14. This disabling zoom maybe is good idea if you play in 4K, but for me, playing in 1600X900 or 1920X1080 it isnt good. I barelly see enemy. In real i can focus my eyes on something, in VTN not. Also Arma engine is not so good at rendering object in distance (mainly vegetation and buildings), so finding enemy in not rendered to the last LOD bush is impossible, only way to finish render that bush (to the last LOD) is zoom at it - again its impossible. Maybe its good feature, but not for arma, this zooming feature was placed beacuse of ugly rendering and unrealistic FOV.
  15. No, there is campaign, look once more "Survive" .... I was thinking the same and copied it 2 more times and - now i got 3 "Survive"'s :) I just completed it. One mission before last outro is great but paratropers are jumping out in strange and funny way :D Chopper is landing, and paratropers disembarking 3 meters above the ground with parachute and the choper is taking off every time after 2 of them jumps, till all of them are out. Most funny is when chopper is taking attlituda, is taking paratroopers with himself on the rotor :D :D :D They are not dying, and it even more funny :D Great and funny :D :D :D It was very enjoyable !

  17. Is this normal that on low shadow detail i got terrible glitches on all arma 1 terrains same as in AiA TP? To be clear - i dont use any above low shadow setting, beacuse of render method - grainy shadows are terrible and ugly, so i prefer low. As of falling walls i recomend @RDS_A2_IslandFixes - contact with its developer, and you will know how to fix it.
  18. Is there shift+V doing something? I see notes false/true when i press it.
  19. There is a problem with low detail shadows on all Arma 1 maps. Totally chaos..... Some fix anyone? I hate standard detail for shadows as they are very grainy.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

    Any chance of MI-28? I saw CMA MI-28 and there was sayed, Veteran Mod and RHS will create their own versions of that chopper.

    Good, i just wanted to know this. I saw compatibility patch for scripted version, and was aware of some bugs with lite. I was playing with full version and there was problems with distance sounds, and then patch came out. Now i'm fully enjoying the LITE.... :)

    Only RHS and CBA. Sometimes some AI mods but only sometimes. I create missions with lot of ai (Defender, atacker) and fps drop very much while intense firefights, specially with Dragon Fyre (and i'm not suprised, as its lot of scripts). Hmm, so i'm trapt. I created ticket to add option to set dialog volume in audio options. I hope i will be listened by BIS....     Pretty sad :( RHS team said they are not gonna make other mods compatible with others, its up to their developers to make compatible patches. Actualy Your mod is best audio mod, RHS is best content mod including real units, and only competition for them may be veteran mod. So 2 best mods and nobody care about compatibility escept users..... I wish i could do more about configs.

    Any closer or further ETA? On my mission Heavy scripted version kill FPS, so i need good LITE version. And do you knwo about Dyna Sound mod with Laxeman? You guys should work together for best audio mods. And i have a little problem - i guess only you can help me. I have bought 2 stereo big columns with great sound possibilities and amplituner Yamaha RX-360 (yeah i know, its old....) and now i can barelly hear dialogs in Arma 3. I tried equalizers (not found good option), surroundings options ("room" fits the best, but it doesnt tweak dialogs volume any better). Sound card - Realtec HD audio - and also all explosion sounds are quiet. I think its same "channel" for this explosions, dialogs, and some more audio (drive-by, fly-by vehicles are quiet as well). Is there some bug in game/mod or some settings for that?
