Well, Arma/Orginal OFP is kinda the only game series in this field. Atleast BIS haven't tried to exploit their monopoly by making a poor-quality game, but have instead made one that pretty much decimates any competition in its field.

Are you serious with that statement? Because if you are, I have to say that it is an awful idea. AI support is integral to Arma, it would be horrendously idiotic to remove it.

At this point the biggest reason, in my opinion, for Arma 4 would really just be a new engine. The improvements such a thing could bring would be reason enough for a sequel. I also wonder when details about the more specific capabilities planned for Enfusion will be released. Will it support subterranean structures or localized physics for instance?

After doing some more reading, apparently the only thing one can do is wait for RHS to update their mods. BIS have changed the weapon configuration system with Apex. -

This error comes up when I load my mission, which uses both ALIVE and RHS. It isn't a problem on clients and listen servers, but it prevents dedicated servers from running the mission. I heard that its something that BIS has to fix, but is there any workaround for it? -
TOM uses Enforce as far as I am aware.

The thing that confuses me though is how missions that don't use the two mods together don't have this issue. -

Using the Advanced marker placement key combo on the mapscreen as an admin causes you to teleport to that position, is there any way to turn it off? -

Sorry to be mathematically illiterate, but is 512x1024 a valid dimension? -

After resizing the image as 1024x1024, the colours were displayed correctly; which confirms that the image's invalid dimensions were the cause. So .PAAs can be 2:1, even though the BIKI says they must be 1:1? By uniform I meant dimensions that are 1:1. I am also aware that 1920x1080 is 16:9. -

Image size is 1920x1080 (my monitor resolution). However, as the ideal ratio for overview images is 2:1, that would suggest that input files don't require uniform dimensions? -

The BIKI says that PNG is the preferred format, but I will test it using JPG. EDIT: Nope, texview won't even accept JPGs. -

Arma's engine is not broken nor is it a bad engine, it is simply old, with all newer components built upon ageing foundations. Either way, as posts in this thread states, Enfusion is in development which should supersede RV.

I can only wonder why you didn't make the move already.The 2D editor was felt arthritic even without a 3D counterpart. -
I've been using a script from an old thread for A2OA that I dug up to make a unit play a looping animation. Using the method of adding the script in-mission (see post 4 of linked thread), it works perfectly. Only problem is is that after making the unit play a different animation (to transition into normal idling) the unit immediately begins looping the animation again. I've tried using deleteVehicle on the object holding the script (a box I've placed outside the map) in various orders in relation to the script being called, but to no avail. I therefore want to know how I can achieve this, is there a command to de-spawn the script?

I've tried adding a marker link in the same manner as a Briefing.html, and although the HTML code appears to be recognized as it isn't displayed in the entry, the associated text isn't linked to the designated marker. Is this method still the one that is used or is there an undocumented method?

Minor necro, but is it possible to define the 'size' of the link? As in the size of the area the highlighting box covers. It might be my imagination, but I'm pretty sure the links have different sizes in the campaign. -

Is there a way to force the insertion vehicle with Alive multipspawn? I'm using RHS and would like the insertion vehicle to be a Chinook, but the the module keeps defaulting to a vanilla Ghosthawk.
