bono_lv 10 Posted July 20, 2010 Title says it all. So... How do you do it? My ATT doesn't allow to create profile that runs from *.cmd file. Any suggestions?
EDcase 87 Posted July 20, 2010 1. Open up ATI Tray Tools' Game Profile Manager. 2. Find and open "arma2.exe" in the Executable field. 3. Force Vsync off in the Direct3D Tweaks tab. 4. Save the profile. Do the same with ArmA2OA.exe if you have ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead Try 'Search'...
Nicholas 5 Posted July 20, 2010 Yes, please use search as this was discussed not long ago and was answered.
bono_lv 10 Posted July 20, 2010 You didn't understand my question. I can run Arma 2 or Arma:OA with forced V-sync off without problems. I am asking, how I can run Arma Combined Operations without V-sync. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have Steam version. Arma 2 and Arma:OA are in seperate folders. And I can't add _runA2CO.cmd to ATT profile. Still looking for sugestions.
Leopardi 0 Posted July 21, 2010 If you can't add it, then youre stuck with vsync until BIS adds the option (never).

So i'm sure you only need to make a profile in ATT for ArmA2OA.exe. You can even delete or rename arma2.exe and still start the game in Combined Operations :) Have just tested to delete my arma2.exe and no problem to start Combined Operations. So i'm sure you can make an ATT profile for just ArmA2OA.exe. The latest cmd file start your ArmA2 CO with this startup: "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" -applaunch 33930 is your ArmA2:Operation Arrowhead points to your ArmA2OA.exe
bono_lv 10 Posted July 21, 2010 I tried to add start up parameters to Arma:OA "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca" and make ATT profile for Arma2OA, but it didn't work. It launches vanilla Arma2:OA not Arma2:CO. I found partial solution. I compiled _runA2CO.cmd file to _runA2CO.exe So I could make working ATT profile... It really runs Arma2:CO without V-sync with one glitch - every time I exit game it just hangs. Arma2OA.exe is not responding and I have to end process manually. -TwK-Danny 0 Posted July 21, 2010 All this crap becuse BIS do not add a simple toggle in video options like 99% of all games. Even console ports have options for Vsync. How about they look at valve? They provide Vsync off, Vsync (double buffered) aswell as Vsync (tripplebuffered). Heck they do in in Alien Swarm, a FREE game.
bono_lv 10 Posted July 21, 2010 Don't be so mad. I believe BIS will implement some way to disable V-sync. When higher priority bugs/glitches will be fixed. After some more playing that hanging during exit appears to be random. Sometimes game closes as it should. :)
